Thomas is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his long awaited third solo album, his first in more than six years. The new album – which follows 2009’s acclaimed CRADLESONG – is slated for release in late summer.
Rob Thomas is one of the most distinctive artists of this or any other era – a gifted vocalist, spellbinding performer and accomplished songwriter known worldwide as lead singer and primary composer with Matchbox Twenty as well as for his multi-platinum certified solo work and chart-topping collaborations with other artists. Among his countless hits are solo classics like “Lonely No More,” “This Is How A Heart Breaks” and “Streetcorner Symphony,” Matchbox Twenty favorites including “Push,” “3AM,” “If You’re Gone” and “Bent” and of course “Smooth,” his 3x RIAA platinum certified worldwide hit collaboration with Santana. Thomas earned three GRAMMY® Awards for his role as co-writer and vocalist on “Smooth,” which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 for an astounding 12 consecutive weeks and spent 58 total weeks on the chart, the #1 song in Billboard’s Top Hot 100 Rock Songs chart history and #2 “Hot 100” song of all time. The #1, multi-platinum …SOMETHING TO BE, made history as the first album by a male artist from a Rock or Pop group to debut at #1 on The Billboard 200 since the chart was launched.
In 2004, Thomas was the first artist to be honored with the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s prestigious Hal David Starlight Award, created to recognize a composer in the early years of his or her career that has already made a lasting impact. He has won numerous BMI and ASCAP Awards, and twice earned the “Songwriter of the Year” crown from both Billboard and BMI. Overall, Thomas has contributed to sales of more than 80 million records.
Thomas’ most recent solo album, 2009’s CRADLESONG, marked still another milestone, generating two #1 singles in “Her Diamonds” and “Someday.” Rob made Billboard chart history once again as the only male artist with multiple #1 hits at Adult Top 40. With this coronation, Thomas tied Pink with the most #1’s by a solo artist in the chart’s history.
In 2012, Matchbox Twenty returned with their first all-new album in a decade, NORTH. Fueled by the hit singles, “She’s So Mean,” “Overjoyed” and “Our Song,” NORTH proved a landmark for the band, their first ever #1 debut and Billboard 200 chart-topper.
A charismatic, engaging and indefatigable live performer, Thomas has spent much of the past two decades on the road, fronting massive world treks with Matchbox Twenty and on his own as well as a series of intimate acoustic tours. Thomas is also a dedicated philanthropist, establishing The Sidewalk Angels Foundation with his wife Marisol Thomas in 2003. Dedicated to providing critically needed funds and support to grassroots groups across the country, the New York-based not-for-profit organization is the primary supporter and sponsor of a number of no-kill animal shelters and animal rescues. Additionally, The Sidewalk Angels Foundation also supports a myriad of other causes, from childhood health and wellness to the fight against homelessness, reflecting the passion of its co-founders to
fight for the rights and fair treatment of those with no voice. For additional information on The Sidewalk Angels Foundation, please visit sidewalkangelsfoundation.org.

The U.S. portion of the “1969” tour is set to conclude on August 9th in Albuquerque. Mohegan Sun Arena’s concert is set for 7:30pm, and the CCR frontman will be playing treasured classics like “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and so many more from his catalogue of other all-time hits.
Tickets are $44.50 and go on sale Friday, April 3rd through Ticketmaster at 10:00am. And, coming October 6, 2015, from Little, Brown and Company, is the long-anticipated memoir by John Fogerty, titled FORTUNATE SON: My Life, My Music. With John Fogerty writing hit after hit, Creedence Clearwater Revival burst on the music scene with an energy so bright, his songs outsold The Beatles in 1969. Then, just as quickly, that CCR fire burned out in a series of internal band struggles that left the music world without the influence of one of its brightest stars for over two decades.
“I’m excited to share my story and my life with you,” said Fogerty. “You’re going to hear where it all started, my passion to become the best musician I could be. You’ll travel down some rough roads, but that road leads to something beautiful. My book won’t be sugar coated! It’s all in there.”
Creedence Clearwater Revival is one of the most important and beloved bands in the history of Rock ‘n Roll, and the story that John Fogerty’s memoir tells will keep music lovers and avid readers captivated. Fogerty wrote, sang and produced the iconic classics “Born on the Bayou,” “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising” and so many more. Now he reveals how he brought CCR to the top of the charts and how, one year later, CCR was falling apart. Their amazing talents and culturally-prophetic songs, however, have endured for decades despite the series of personal and legal issues. FORTUNATE SON takes readers from Fogerty’s northern California roots, through Creedence’s success, his retreat from music and public life, to Fogerty’s hard-won revival as a solo artist who finally, through it all, found love.
John Fogerty was songwriter, lead singer and lead guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival and is one of Rock’s most influential musicians and writers. Fogerty has been named one of the 100 Greatest Singers and one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists by Rolling Stone and his most recent album was named one of RS’s 10 Best Albums of 2013.

Fans and tastemakers continue to recognize her as Pop culture trailblazer and a dynamic presence. She’s nominated for “Favorite New Artist” and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass” at 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards, airing March 28th on Nickelodeon. The next day Sunday, March 29th, she will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles broadcast live on NBC from The Shrine Auditorium. At the ceremony, she’s also nominated in three top categories including “Best New Artist,” “Renegade” and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass.”
This week, Meghan will appear on The Voice as the mentor for Blake Shelton’s team. She also graces the cover of the February issue of Seventeen Magazine.
Continuing this incredible streak of success, “All About That Bass” now is 6-times platinum and its follow-up “Lips Are Movin’” went double-platinum, while the sold out That Bass Tour has been receiving unanimous critical praise. This was Trainor’s very first tour, and each date actually sold out well in advance, proving her status as a live phenomenon.
About the That Bass Tour, Billboard claimed, “Trainor stretched her set in ways that felt authentic,” while The Hollywood Reporter wrote, “The lifelong performer took advantage of the venue’s intimacy while also seizing the opportunity to serve a spectacle.” The Chicago Tribune said, “After a year that set the 21-year-old on an unexpected Pop star path, Trainor hit the stage in Chicago and showed that she had the verve and talent to justify her rise,” The Washington Post added, “Trainor’s voice sparkled almost as much as the bejeweled mike she poured it into,” and The OC Register claimed, “Her brand of Doo-Wop and Bubble Gum Pop, infused with bits of Funk and Hip-Hop, coupled with a sassy attitude and lyrics about female empowerment, have quickly made her a star.”
As soon as Title became available, it vaulted to the top of dozens of charts worldwide. With first-week sales of 237,511 units in total music consumption (albums/singles/streaming), the album ranks as the biggest-selling debut for a female artist’s first full-length album in more
than five years; and the biggest-selling debut for a solo artist’s first full-length album in more than three years. Title has dominated iTunes Overall and Pop album charts in the U.S. at #1 since its release on January 13th, with #1 peaks reported from 67 countries worldwide.
Early critical reaction to Title was unanimously positive, with Rolling Stone magazine hailing Meghan’s “sass and self-empowerment,” and People proclaiming “she’s an It girl with staying power.” The New York Times profiled Meghan with references to Amy Winehouse and Adele; while Entertainment Weekly awarded the Title album an A-, declaring “right now, no Pop star is better than this 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer at playing the sassy best friend.” Billboard summed up, “You can’t miss this young artist’s skill with melodic and rhythmic hooks…along with her fluid, flexible voice.”
“All About That Bass” is a juggernaut in and of itself. Meghan’s phenomenal two-time Grammy®-nominated debut single spent eight weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has been certified 6-times RIAA platinum in the U.S. alone. The song has worked its way into Pop culture with numerous cover versions and homages, including NBC’s Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (with collective YouTube views of more than 40 million).
Globally, “All About That Bass” has hit #1 in 58 countries, generated more than 10 million downloads, over 275 million streams, and nearly 700 million YouTube views to date. The follow-up single “Lips Are Movin” has been certified RIAA double platinum, has reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, top five at Top 40 radio and has over 180 million video views.
