The Holiday Marvels Classic returns for 12th season at Mohegan Sun

Lavish costumes, new theatrical scenery, international stars and a cast of over 100 dancers bring to life the story of a beautiful Nutcracker Christmas gift that transports a child named Clara to a magical world with giant mice, a Cavalier Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The story of the Nutcracker embraces Christmas and its symbolic tree that grows to huge proportions. Giant mice with blinking eyes and an exploding cannon are part of the dazzling stage theatrics.

The classic holiday ballet comes to the Arena on Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th
Joseph Albano and The Albano Ballet Company will bring back their production of the Christmas classic The Nutcracker to Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th. Saturday’s performance begins at 7:00pm and Sunday’s begins at 2:00pm.
Tickets are $33.00 and $23.00, with a $5.00 discount for children under twelve and senior citizens and are on sale now at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and through Ticketmaster. Accompanied by a live chorale and orchestra under the baton of Maestro Daniel Lee, Albano’s traditional version touts an international cast with dancers from Italy, Japan and the United States. Starring in this year’s cast is Ritsuko Sato from Japan as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Marcello Algeri from Italy as the Cavalier Prince. Kerryanne Saunders, a 13 year veteran with the company, dances the Snow Queen partnered with Eric Carnes, a 21 year old sensational talent trained in the Albano Ballet Academy Syllabus.
