UNCASVILLE, CT (April 8, 2019) – Grammy, Tony and Emmy award-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, and author Sara Bareilles today announced her Amidst The Chaos Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 30-city tour will stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 12th at 8:00pm with special guest Emily King.
Tickets are $79.00, $59.00 and $39.00 and go on sale Friday, April 12th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, April 13th at 10:00am, subject to availability.
The tour brings Bareilles on the road in support of her fifth full-length album Amidst The Chaos which was just released last Friday to rave reviews – with Variety stating it “establishes that there’s no one in Contemporary Pop better at flexing mezzo-soprano sensitivity and social empathy like a muscle. It’s the perfect album for anyone who could use a little fierce snowflake pride.” This marks her first album of original material since 2013.
ABOUT SARA BAREILLES
Sara Bareilles first achieved mainstream critical praise in 2007 with her widely successful hit “Love Song,” which reached #1 in 22 countries around the world from her debut album Little Voice. Since then, Sara has gone on to receive seven Grammy nominations throughout her career, which include “Song of the Year” and “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for “Love Song” and one “Album of the Year” for her highly acclaimed third studio album, The Blessed Unrest. Her book, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song, was released in the fall of 2015 by Simon & Schuster and is a New York Times best seller. Making her Broadway debut, Sara composed the music and lyrics for Waitress, for which she received her first Tony Award nomination for “Best Score” and a 2017 Grammy Award nomination for “Best Musical Theater Album.” She also made her Broadway acting debut in 2017 by stepping into the lead role in Waitress.

IN DETAIL: Love will lead you to Mohegan Sun when singer, actress and author Taylor Dayne meets and greets with fans and signs copies of her new book, Tell It To My Heart in The Shops concourse immediately following her 8:00pm show in the Wolf Den.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Taylor Dayne will only be signing copies of her book, Tell It To My Heart, which will be available for sale on-site the night of the event from Bank Square Books. Participants must have a book to be in signing line; one book per person. No personal photos allowed. A house photographer will be on-site to take pictures.

Shawn also announced that special guest Alessia Cara will join him on his US, UK and Europe tour stops. “Shawn Mendes: The Tour” will mark his third global headline tour, performing at Mohegan Sun Arena for two shows on Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31st at 7:30pm.

On his upcoming tour, Shawn Mendes: The Tour, he sold out his first ever stadium show in minutes at Rogers Centre in his hometown of Toronto.
