Accomplished Sales Executive to Drive Mohegan Sun’s Comprehensive MICE Operations and Marketing Strategy
Kimberly Simone has been named by Mohegan Sun as the new VP of Sales & Marketing. Simone, who joined Mohegan Sun in 2023 as Director of Sales, brings nearly two decades of expertise in marketing and comprehensive sales within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector. In her new role, Simone will spearhead and oversee strategic initiatives for the expansive Earth Expo & Convention Center, the Sky Convention Center, and various other venues across Mohegan Sun and the nearby Mohegan Sun Golf Club.

Since joining Mohegan Sun in September 2023, Simone has played a key role in driving growth to Mohegan Sun’s convention sales and property-wide hospitality. In her new role, Kim will continue to lead Mohegan Sun’s Convention Sales team, focusing on booking the world-class venues like the Earth Expo & Convention Center. This venue is home to the 125,000 square foot Earth Expo Center, which is set to host big-time shows this spring & summer such as the Wicked Gluten Free Expo on March 29th; the New England Tattoo Expo from April 11th – 13th; the New England Spring Craft Festival on May 10th – 11th; the CT Pickle Festival on July 25th and the return of TerrifiCon from August 8th-10th.
Simone is also a graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, RI, and the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, Florda. She sat on the board for the CT River Valley chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) as the Vice President of Membership and the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Simone was also a member of the New York and New England chapters of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) and served as a member of the Greater New York Chapter of HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International). Simone also sits on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau Board of Directors. Previous conventions & sales experience include the Director of Sales at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, CT as well as the Director of Resort Sales at Foxwoods Casino Resort from 2019 to 2021. Prior to this role, Simone was the National Sales Manager for the resort, strategically managing sales operations while tracking and analyzing data to strengthen forward-looking strategy.

The festivities get started on Monday, June 24th, and guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, exciting special events and 256 live shows in 96 days across the resort. The action runs through August 30th, and includes outdoor tribute acts every Friday night at the new and improved Sun Patio, which now features a brand-new music stage, upgraded fire pits, cozy Adirondack chairs and grassy turf to enjoy lawn games during the festivities.
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property. When a friend of an existing Momentum member signs up for a new Momentum account any weekday during Hot Summer Fun, both guests will receive $10 in Free Slot Play! Momentum members can double down on the Momentum earnings during Wild Winning Wednesdays. Every Wednesday from June 28th – August 30th, Momentum members who play their favorite slots from 6:00am – Midnight will receive double Momentum Dollars. Momentum members can also earn double Status Points while playing their favorite table games, including Poker, stadium gaming and wagers placed in the Race Book.
With Thrills & Chills Thursdays, Momentum members can go head-to-head with other members in their Status Level for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars! Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games, stadium games or wager in the Race Book and Poker Room from 6:00am – 10:00pm every Thursday from June 29th – August 31st. Five winners per Status Level will be selected each week, and the Momentum members who earn the most Status Points will win a Momentum Dollar prize! Momentum members can start their weekend off right with Fun in the Sun Fridays. Starting at 10:00am, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Play+ Event Center (located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth) will receive a commemorative, free Hot Summer Fun t-shirt. New colors will be offered every Friday from June 30th – September 1st and Momentum members will have the chance to collect all 10! Let the winning continue with a special Hot Summer Fun session of our $100,000 Jackpot Celebration! From June 4th – September 2nd, Momentum members who hit a jackpot of $1,200 or more on their favorite slot machines will receive one entry form and have the chance to be one of the 50 winners who will win their share of $100,000 cash and Free Slot Play prizes! Jackpot winners must activate their entries at the Play+ Event Center between the hours of Noon and 7:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd. Guests can swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk from June 26th through September 1st for a chance to win Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or entries into the grand prize drawing for state-of-the-art solar panels. Those looking to double their total entries can swipe their Momentum card at any promotional kiosk on Friday, September 1st from 6:00am – 4:00pm. Plus, indulge in savory Mexican fare provided by Hot Taco. Capture memories at the photo booth, dance to the high-energy beats of DJ Rico and shimmy to Fiesta Del Notre’s one of a kind Mariachi band! The Premier Patrón Patio is also back with an exclusive twist. From 6:30pm – 7:30pm, guests can take advantage of a ticketed VIP happy hour where they can access a limited reserve of Patrón Gran Platinum, Gran Piedra, Gran Burdeos and El Cielo poured by expert brand ambassadors. Immersive experiences at the Premier Patrón Patio happy hour include Patrón’s custom VR set and pedaling the one-of-a-kind blender bike to mix up a refreshing margarita.
