Meet and greet with Patriots Cheerleaders, giveaways, game-day grub and much more
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 1, 2023) – The professional football season is right around the corner, and guests are invited to get ready to score big on Thursday, September 7th from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party hosted right in the heart of Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook. Guests can catch all of the live action on Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook’s 140-foot video wall, the largest in the Northeast, while enjoying the ultimate tailgating atmosphere. The Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party will feature game-day grub, ice-cold beverages, live music by DJ Flip, high-energy camaraderie with fellow fans and a special meet and greet with the Patriots Cheerleaders!
Table reservations are recommended and can be booked at mohegansun.com/sportsbook. Guests who book table reservations for seating at the Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party are eligible for giveaways throughout the night. The Grand Prize drawing will occur during halftime and includes four tickets to see the Red Sox play at Fenway Park on September 26th, courtesy of Bud Light! Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook also invites guests to indulge in a refreshed menu, featuring all the classic, mouthwatering dishes that pair perfectly with selections from their full bar. New items featured on the refreshed menu include a pulled pork sandwich served with tater tots and a shrimp po boy served with french fries. Don’t miss your chance to watch some major league baseball with two of the sport’s finest! Join the former all-stars Luis Tiant and Dwight “Doc” Gooden to watch the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees for their first series of 2014. The two baseball greats will be meeting fans and signing memorabilia at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar on Friday, April 11th.
Former pro pitcher Luis Tiant is a three time major league baseball all-star and is most known for his successful seasons with the Boston Red Sox. The right-hander has won an astounding 229 games, the “Babe Ruth Award” and was even inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. Tiant’s last professional appearance was in 1992 for the Cleveland Indians.
New York Mets’ legend Dwight “Doc” Gooden left quite an impression on New York with his career debut for the Mets and his final appearance with the Yankees in 2000. Gooden is a four time all-star and three time World Series champion. The pitching pro led the league in strike outs and once pitched a no hitter during his time with the Yankees.
***Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, Luis Tiant and Dwight “Doc” Gooden will only be signing one piece of memorabilia per person, per player. Photos taken with personal cameras are prohibited. Must be 21 or over to attend.

Pitchers set to sign autographs and greet fans at 9:30pm on Friday, April 20th at the Spin Street Stage
WHAT: Mohegan Sun will be at a fever pitch when its Signings & Sightings presents Jon Lester and Felix Doubront for an exclusive appearance. See these baseball pitchers take the mound at Mohegan Sun to sign free autographs and talk with their legions of fans.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, only specified headshots will be signed. No sports memorabilia will be signed. Because of the popularity of this event, the signing will be bracelet-only. Bracelets will be distributed at 8:30pm on Friday, April 20th on a first-come, first-served basis at the signing stage in The Shops Concourse located in front of the Arena Box Office and must be worn in order to gain entrance into this autograph-only event.

ABOUT JON LESTER: Jon Lester is a hard throwing left handed pitcher who in his short career in the big leagues has already netted him a world championship and two All-Star selections. His overall ERA is 3.52 with his post season ERA checking in at a 2.57. He also has over 800 strikeouts in his 5 seasons in the Majors and was a 19 game winner in 2010.
ABOUT FELIX DOUBRONT: Felix Doubront is a young professional baseball pitcher who, in just the last couple of years, has gotten his shot to prove his talent at the highest level. The Venezuelan-born lefty had a 3.65 ERA with 533 strikeouts in the minors from 2005 – 2011. He started the 2012 season as the 4th man in the rotation on the big league club with hopes of making a big mark this season.
