UNCASVILLE, CT (April 27, 2018) – Bon Jovi’s legacy is as much about giving back as it is about epic performances on record setting tours. In 2017, the Grammy-winning global Rock icons and newly announced Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2018 inductees gave 28 talented acts an opportunity to spotlight their talent to capacity crowds on the This House Is Not For Sale Tour. When the This House Is Not For Sale 2018 Tour kicked off in March, bands across North America once again had a shot at a coveted opening slot on the tour.
Now, after an intense search, local act Nick Fradiani has been selected to perform the opening set at Bon Jovi’s This House Is Not For Sale 2018 Tour in Uncasville. Prior to Fradiani winning the fourteenth season of American Idol in 2015 and releasing his major label debut studio album Hurricane the following year, Nick and his band Beach Avenue won Mohegan Sun’s Battle of the Bands. Fradiani now returns to take the stage as opening act when Bon Jovi brings ‘This House Is Not For Sale 2018 Tour’ to Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 5th at 7:30pm.
“I am beyond excited for the opportunity to open for Bon Jovi at Mohegan Sun. This will be my fourth time on this amazing stage, but this will without a doubt be one of the more special ones. Bon Jovi is a legendary band, and I’m honored to be able to open for them.” -Nick Fradiani
This is the third tour in recent years that the Grammy Award®-winning band has invited local and regional artists to share the stage (2006’s Have A Nice Day Tour and 2010’s The Circle Tour). Those chosen will demonstrate that they have the sound, style and substance to open an arena show.
The This House Is Not for Sale Tour (2017) was Bon Jovi’s first outing since the band’s 2013 Because We Can World Tour. 2013’s tour was their fourth in six years to be ranked the #1 top-grossing tour in the world (a feat accomplished by only The Rolling Stones previously) with a total of $259.5 million. Bon Jovi also earned the #1 grossing worldwide tour in 2010 for The Circle Tour, with $201 million total, and 2008’s Lost Highway tour, which earned $210.6 million. Bon Jovi’s touring legacy was recognized with the “Legend of Live” award at the Billboard Touring Conference & Awards prior to the kick-off of The This House Is Not for Sale Tour.
Bon Jovi’s #1 debuting album, This House Is Not For Sale, has been reissued by Island Records and is available now as This House Is Not For Sale (When We Were Us) containing two new tracks “When We Were Us” and “Walls.” Both “When We Were Us” and “Walls,” were written by Jon Bon Jovi, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007, and John Shanks. The songs reflect current events, both personal and nationwide, respectively.

ABOUT LINDSEY STIRLING:
Lindsey Stirling remains fearless enough to always dream big. In the over five years since the release of her 2012 self-titled debut, the electronic music impresario, violinist, dancer and artist quietly and humbly became one of the 21st century’s most innovative stars by clinging to her groundbreaking vision of cinematic violin-driven electronic music. After bowing at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Dance/Electronic Album Chart, holding #1 on the Classical Album Chart for 21 consecutive weeks and receiving a Billboard Music Award for “Top Dance/Electronic Album,” her sophomore opus Shatter Me would not only garner an RIAA Gold certification, but it would rank as the #2 Dance/Electronic Album and #1 Classical Album on Billboard’s 2015 Year-End charts. Attracting over 10 million subscribers and 2 billion-plus views on YouTube, in 2015 Forbes placed Lindsey at #4 on its yearly YouTube artists list, making her the highest-ranked female. Her headline tours would play to a cumulative audience of over 500,000 people worldwide, and her literary debut The Only Pirate at the Party—co-written with her sister Brook S. Passey—became a New York Times Bestseller.
Lindsey’s third-studio album Brave Enough, debuted at #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart, went on to score the #1 spot on Billboard’s year-end Top Dance/Electronic Album list and earned Stirling a 2017 Billboard Music Award for “Top Dance/Electronic Album.” Recently, Lindsey released her first ever holiday album titled Warmer in the Winter in October. Featuring classic and original songs, the album went on to become the #1 new Christmas album of 2017, ahead of Pop music heavyweights such as Gwen Stefani and Sia. She was also the runner-up on Season 25 of ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars with her partner Mark Ballas. Stirling is the model of a modern independent recording artist, with a symbiotic relationship with her fans. A motivational speaker in her spare time, Stirling uses her own story to show teenagers that you’ve got to have confidence in the very thing that makes you unique – then wait for the world to catch up.
