UNCASVILLE, CT (November 13, 2025) – The most magical time of the year is almost here and Mohegan Sun is ready to make it unforgettable with Countdown to Cheer – a month-long celebration filled with festivities, daily specials, and live entertainment. Throughout December, Countdown to Cheer allows guests to experience incredible performances like Straight No Chaser: Holiday Road, indulge in dining specials at Beauty & Essex, sip holiday cocktails at the Gingerbread Pop-up Bar, mix & mingle at The Ultimate Big Little Holiday Party and so much more!

The Gingerbread Bar | Open seven days a week from Thursday, December 4th – Monday, January 5th, The Gingerbread Bar, located in the Sky Tower lobby, creates a warm festive atmosphere and endless holiday fun. Guests can sip on festive spirits and holiday-inspired cocktails while sitting by the fireplace with friends and family. Featured cocktails  include the Gingerbread Martini, Partridge in a Pear Tree, Winter Wonderland Mimosa, Berry Christmas Eggnog, Fireside Margarita, and Citrus Christmas.

Santa Photo Opportunities | From 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Fridays, December 5th, 12th, and 19th, guests of all ages can head over to The Gingerbread House at The Shops at Mohegan Sun for a special photo opportunity with Santa! On Friday, December 12th, guests 21 years of age or older can come and meet the man who is #1 on the naughty list – Grumpy Santa! From 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Grumpy Santa will be trading cookies and milk for cocktails and selfies with every stranger he meets at The Gingerbread Bar.

Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan | It’s time to share holiday magic! On the Sun Patio on Sunday, December 14th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm guests can take free family photos with Santa and have the moment printed on a postcard. At the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan, guests can browse the gifting shop to receive a complimentary bag while supplies last and donate to No Kid Hungry to receive a library of fun holiday recipes. Don’t miss the chance to share a Coke with Santa at this unforgettable holiday experience.

Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting | Mohegan Sun’s Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 7th will have very special guests, Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson of the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire. The duo will take on the honors of lighting up a massive Christmas Tree on the Sun Patio. This holiday event takes place from 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Also featured at Mohegan Sun’s Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting is a curated Holiday Market offering the perfect seasonal finds and handcrafted gifts from well-known local vendors. A hot chocolate bar also returns to the annual festival, as well as festive cocktails at the Sun Patio Bar for those 21+. Christmas carolers will fill the air with classic holiday tunes leading up to, and following the tree lighting – planned for around 5:00pm! This event is open to all ages and admission is free.

SantaCon at Mohegan Sun | On Friday, December 12th, guests can celebrate the season with SantaCon at Mohegan Sun, a ticketed bar crawl and evening of specials that transforms the night into a festive journey of flavor, fun, and giving. SantaCon at Mohegan Sun isn’t just about the drinks – there’s plenty of festive fun, food and holiday cheer for everyone to enjoy! Guests 21+ are free to explore at their own pace, visiting each participating location until they close. Mix & Mingle: The Ultimate Big Little Holiday Party | On Friday, December 12th from 5:00pm – 10:00pm, guests are invited to join the festivities – whether arriving with a small group or a large gathering. Mix & Mingle: The Ultimate Big Little Holiday Party offers a chance to create joyful holiday memories without the stress of planning. BALTIC, CT (April 1, 2025) – Fore! Mohegan Sun Golf Club (MSGC), located at 7 Dows Lane in Baltic, CT, is set to officially open for the 2025 season on Tuesday, April 15th! In addition to enjoying one of the top golf destinations New England has to offer, golfers can indulge in a variety of food and drink options at Greenside Grille & Pub. Guests can also enjoy a spacious and well-appointed clubhouse, a well-stocked and revamped pro shop, a fitness room, the “Triple Tee Snack Bar” that greets players halfway through their round, top-notch practice areas, a training facility and a complimentary driving range for all players.

The Greenside Grille & Pub, which is open daily from 7:30am – 7:00pm, offers an abundance of mouthwatering menu options including, but not limited to, a Philly Cheesesteak Egg Roll Duo, a Chopped Cobb Salad, a Smashed Clubhouse Classic Burger, a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, and New England Cod Fish and Chips. Daily chef’s specials and a full-service bar with a wide selection of signature cocktails and craft beer are also available. Golfers can enjoy indoor entertainment on a big screen television or the spectacular beauty of the outdoors on the patio.

Led by PGA Master Professional and VP & General Manager, Philip Krick Jr., MSGC kicks off the 2025 season with a public rate of $150 Monday through Thursday ($105 after 2:00pm). Weekend rates before 2:00pm are priced at $170 ($140 after 2:00pm). MSGC does offer military discounts, and reduced rates are also offered for guests staying at Mohegan Sun and groups of 13 or more. Golf carts are included in all of the above rates.

Mohegan Sun Golf Club is a Par-71 course and was recently recognized as one of the “Top 50 Casino Golf Courses” by Golfweek. The 156-acre course is kept in pristine playing condition by a dedicated grounds team, and upgrades to various holes have been made since Mohegan Sun took ownership in 2007.
