As part of Connecticut Days, pro football players Aaron Hernandez and Niko Koutouvides set to sign autographs and greet fans on June 16th
WHAT: Celebrate Connecticut Days with a touchdown when Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings presents a special appearance by two Connecticut natives and players for the New England Patriots, Aaron Hernandez and Niko Koutouvides.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, only specific merchandise will be signed. Because of the popularity of this event, the signing will be bracelet-only. Bracelets will be distributed starting at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 16th on a first-come, first-served basis at the signing stage in The Shops concourse and must be worn in order to gain entrance into this event.

ABOUT AARON HERNANDEZ: Aaron Hernandez grew up and played high school football in Bristol, Connecticut. In 2006 he amassed 1,807 receiving yards, 24 touchdown catches and set a state record of 376 receiving yards in one game, a number that also marks the seventh best game total in high school history. After a brilliant college career playing tight end for the Florida Gators, the New England Patriots drafted Hernandez in the fourth round. In his first year with the team he caught 45 passes for 563 total yards and 6 touchdowns. This most recent season saw the athletic tight end grab 79 catches to go along with 1,473 yards and 7 touchdowns. It was this 2011-2012 season that he and fellow Patriot, Rob Gronkowski, combined for one of the most jaw dropping offensive seasons ever produced by two tight end teammates in history with well over 2,000 combined receiving yards, 24 total touchdowns and a whopping 169 receptions.
ABOUT NIKO KOUTOUVIDES: A Plainville, Connecticut native, Niko Koutouvides went on to play for the Purdue Boilermakers after a very impressive high school career. As a linebacker, his 296 tackles, five interceptions, four sacks and four fumble recoveries in his 3 years at Purdue were more than enough to get the attention of the Seattle Seahawks. After a few stops across the league, the Patriots acquired Koutouvides in August of 2011 and he became a staple on special teams throughout the year and in the post-season.

The popular TV star to sign autographs and greet fans on Saturday, May 12th in The Shops at Mohegan Sun
WHAT: Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings presented by Spin Street, will welcome TV star and 
now author Vinny Guadagnino for an exclusive and free appearance on Saturday, May 12th. Guadagnino will sign copies of his new book, Control The Crazy and talk with loyal fans in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, Vinny will only be signing copies of Control The Crazy. Control The Crazy must be purchased on the day of the event at Spin Street in order to gain entrance to the signing.

ABOUT VINNY: Vinny Guadagnino was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and comes from a traditional Italian-American family. He graduated from CUNY College of Staten Island with honors and was a political aide for a state assemblyman before joining Jersey Shore in 2009. Currently in its fifth season, the show is MTV’s top-rated series of all time. When he’s not appearing on reality and scripted television, Vinny focuses on pro-social issues. He’s an ambassador for MTV’s A Thin Line campaign to prevent digital bullying, has supported MTV’s GYT, Get Yourself Tested campaign to encourage sexually active young people to get tested for STDs, and is a regular contributor to MTV Act, a blog that highlights young people, celebrities and organizations that take positive social action.

Pitchers set to sign autographs and greet fans at 9:30pm on Friday, April 20th at the Spin Street Stage
WHAT: Mohegan Sun will be at a fever pitch when its Signings & Sightings presents Jon Lester and Felix Doubront for an exclusive appearance. See these baseball pitchers take the mound at Mohegan Sun to sign free autographs and talk with their legions of fans.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, only specified headshots will be signed. No sports memorabilia will be signed. Because of the popularity of this event, the signing will be bracelet-only. Bracelets will be distributed at 8:30pm on Friday, April 20th on a first-come, first-served basis at the signing stage in The Shops Concourse located in front of the Arena Box Office and must be worn in order to gain entrance into this autograph-only event.

ABOUT JON LESTER: Jon Lester is a hard throwing left handed pitcher who in his short career in the big leagues has already netted him a world championship and two All-Star selections. His overall ERA is 3.52 with his post season ERA checking in at a 2.57. He also has over 800 strikeouts in his 5 seasons in the Majors and was a 19 game winner in 2010.
ABOUT FELIX DOUBRONT: Felix Doubront is a young professional baseball pitcher who, in just the last couple of years, has gotten his shot to prove his talent at the highest level. The Venezuelan-born lefty had a 3.65 ERA with 533 strikeouts in the minors from 2005 – 2011. He started the 2012 season as the 4th man in the rotation on the big league club with hopes of making a big mark this season.

ABOUT KYM: Dancing with the Stars fans got their first glimpse of Kym Johnson when paired with Jerry Springer as they reached a 5th place finish in season 3. She finished even higher the very next season at 2nd place with partner Joey Fatone and in season 9 she reached the top spot with Donny Osmond as they took home the Mirror Ball Trophy. Johnson is the only professional dancer to hold the title of two Mirror Ball Trophies, both in her homeland of Australia and USA. Her success on the popular reality show is no fluke as Johnson began ballroom dancing at age 13. Johnson made her Broadway debut in “Burn The Floor” in 2009, a dream come true for her. Johnson was just named the season 12 winner with partner and Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Hines Ward.
ABOUT DMITRY:
Dmitry has established himself as one of the most recognized Ballroom Dancers and Choreographers in the United States and around the world. He is one of the star Professionals on Dancing With The Stars, an Emmy Nominated Choreographer for his work on So You Think You Can Dance and one of America’s favorite dancers. Dmitry’s dancing career began in the Ballroom at the age of 12 in his hometown of Rostov-on-Don in Russia. After moving to the United States in 1999, he studied in both America and United Kingdom and began competing and winning many world famous ballroom completions around the globe representing the United States. In 2006, Dmitry’s dance career took a different course as he joined the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance and became one of America’s Top 10 dancers. He made the jump to Dancing with the Stars in 2009, paired with Mya and received record breaking votes making him one of the most popular dancers on the show. Standout talents from Dancing With The Stars are set for a performance and signing on January 18th at 7:00pm
Mohegan Sun’s Reality Check will once again bring incredible dancing talent to the stage when Dancing With The Stars performers Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower take part in an all new Reality Check on Tuesday, January 18th. This live event at Mohegan Sun featuring a dance performance and live acoustic performance by Mark Ballas will begin at 7:00pm followed by a signing event at 7:45pm. This free and exclusive event will take place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.
ABOUT MARK BALLAS
Mark Ballas, one of the best performers on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, has won two championships in his seven seasons on the hit reality show. The first title was in season six partnered with Kristi Yamaguchi and the second with Shawn Johnson in season eight. Most recently, Ballas danced his way to the finals with partner Bristol Palin where they earned the third place spot. When he’s not dancing for thirty million households twice per week, Ballas is focusing on his music. His guitar influences range from Kurt Cobain, Paco De Lucia, John Mayer and Eric Clapton. His debut solo CD, Hurt LoveBox will be available at Spin Street for purchase prior to and on the day of the event.
ABOUT CHELSIE HIGHTOWER
Chelsie Hightower was just recently teamed up with famous singer-songwriter Michael Bolton on season eleven of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Hightower began dancing at a young age, with a focus on ballroom, which she still attributes as her foundation. She won a national championship when she was just eleven years old and would later become a U.S. National Standard Finalist in 2005 and International Latin Finalist in 2006. Prior to joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars Hightower was a fan favorite on So You Think You Can Dance. Hightower and All Around World Rodeo Champion Ty Murray took home 4th place in season eight of Dancing With The Stars.
