Complimentary party also commemorates the opening of the fully renovated Sun Patio
UNCASVILE, CT (April 30, 2024) – Mohegan Sun is ready to start the summer off right with the 2nd Annual Summer Kick-Off on Saturday, May 25th! From 5:00pm – 9:00pm, guests can let loose at this epic, free bash with incredible vendors, delicious drink specials and delectable bites from food trucks like Hungry Lion, Newport Creamery and Farm to Sandwich. The Fake Experience is set to rock the brand-new Sun Patio Stage with fan favorite hits starting at 6:00pm. Plus, guests are invited to partake in a special beach ball drop at 7:30pm. The first 100 guests to attend the Summer Kick-Off will receive one free drink, courtesy of Red Bull! Seating by the firepits is available for guests on a first-come, first-served basis. All guests must be 21+ to attend the Summer Kick-Off.
Summer Kick-Off also marks the launch of the completely renovated Sun Patio. This decked-out, 36,000 square-foot outdoor space now features updated fire pits, cozy Adirondack chairs and grassy turf, adjacent to the Sun Patio Bar. Guests can dance into the breezy summer nights with live music at the Sun Patio Stage, complete with a new sound system for an optimal music experience. This open-air venue allows guests to soak in the warm weather at any time – whether they’re visiting for a special event or looking for a sunny place to sit back and relax. Over at the Sun Patio Bar, guests can enjoy six hi-definition screens (including two menu boards) and a full bar including six bartender stations while vibing to acoustic entertainment throughout the summer. The Sun Patio Bar is open Fridays from 5:00pm – 11:00pm, Saturdays from Noon – Midnight and Sundays from Noon – 9:00pm. In addition to serving as an entertainment space, the Sun Patio is bookable for private events and groups of up to 2,000 guests.

Festive, family-friendly event also kicks off the Countdown to Cheer program, filled with deals, food & beverage specials and jolly surprises
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 14, 2023) – Mohegan Sun is welcoming the holiday season with the First Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting on Friday, December 1st. From 5:00pm – 7:00pm, guests of all ages can witness pure magic as Mohegan Sun lights up the night at the newly-renovated Sun Patio with an event hosted by shining star and true American legend, Frankie Valli! Delectable treats and complimentary hot chocolate, tea and coffee will be available. A decadent Baileys Chocolate Cocktail will also be offered at the Sun Patio Bar. Carolers will be on hand singing Christmas classics. Plus, the family can gather for a photo with Santa! This event is free and will take place rain or shine.
After his appearance at the First Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will bring their iconic hits to Mohegan Sun Arena for “The Last Encores” tour at 8:00pm. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are one of the most beloved groups in Pop music history, selling more than 175 million records worldwide. Known for songs like “Sherry”, “Walk Like A Man”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and more, the group continues to tour throughout the US and abroad to packed houses of thrilled fans from multiple generations. Mohegan Sun Arena has a holiday entertainment lineup that guests won’t want to miss. Todd English’s Tuscany is serving up a three-course, prix fixe menu for $50 per person on Monday, December 4th. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge is offering “Five Golden Rings” for $35 on Tuesday, December 5th. On Wednesday, December 6th, Grey Goose martinis can be found at the Taughannick Falls Bar for $13 each. Guests can “swim” over to Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook to enjoy Two Roads Holiday Ale and Samuel Adams Winter Lager on Thursday, December 7th. Festivities include a Summer Kick-Off party that unveils the Sun Patio Bar, and the return of popular outdoor summer concert series Party on the Sun Patio
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 4, 2023) – Summertime at Mohegan Sun is in full effect on the Sun Patio. The former Summer Entrance has been transformed into a 2,100 square-foot outdoor event space that is perfect for sunny days and warm summer nights. The star of the show is the elevated, 50 square-foot Sun Patio Bar, complete with six hi-definition screens (including two menu boards) and a full bar including six bartender stations. Regular hours for the Sun Patio Bar are Fridays from 5:00pm – 11:00pm, Saturdays from Noon – Midnight and Sundays from Noon – 9:00pm.
Those looking to be the first to party at the Sun Patio Bar can do so at the Summer Kick-Off on Saturday, May 27th. From 5:00pm – 8:00pm, delectable eats will be offered from Munchies, Bridge Market Pizza and Travelin’ Bones. Refreshing drink specials will also be available and electrifying live entertainment will be provided by local favorite band, Sugar. Complimentary fire pits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 100 guests to attend also receive a free drink, courtesy of Red Bull! Mohegan Sun’s Summer Kick-Off has free admission, and all guests must be 21+ with valid ID.
The Sun Patio is also the home of Mohegan Sun’s popular summer concert series, Party on the Sun Patio. Starting June 30th, and every Friday night through September 1st, the Sun Patio transforms into a breezy outdoor area where guests can dance the night away to live entertainment provided by local tribute bands. A rotating lineup of amazing food trucks will be offering tasty bites, and guests can quench their thirst with incredible cocktail and beverage specials. Make the night extra special with a VIP fire pit!

Guests must be 21+ with valid ID to attend Party on the Sun Patio. Fire pit reservations will open in June 2023. All fire pit reservations include a complimentary round of drinks for up to eight guests per reserved fire pit. Additional seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are welcome to bring their own chairs. Coolers and outside food/beverages are not permitted. In the event of inclement weather, bands performing at Party on the Sun Patio will be moved to the Wolf Den. Decisions will be announced by 2:00pm the day of the event.
While the Sun Patio is open to the public, private parties can be booked for up to 2,000 guests. The Sun Patio Bar is also available for booking private parties of up to 300 guests. The Sun Patio is in the process of a multi-phase renovation with phase two starting in fall 2023.
