Starting February 6th, Wine Wednesdays at Mohegan Sun offers guests a classier night out
Don’t look at Wednesdays as the glass is half empty any longer. Treat yourself to a classier night out as Mohegan Sun unveils the all-new Wine Wednesday program. Wednesdays at Mohegan Sun will turn into a vino lover’s dream with featured wines from all around the globe each season, delicious dishes to accompany them and other various specials being offered each week.
Wine Wednesdays kick off on February 6th with Tastings & Tapas on the Tuscany Patio from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. A $20.00 price per person allows guests to indulge in mouthwatering tapas along with three different varieties of wines. While you taste and sip, a wine expert will lead a discussion and Q&A segment about the featured wines. Tastings & Tapas will be held on the first Wednesday of every month, with advanced tickets available for purchase at Todd English’s Tuscany.
Ready for dinner? Every Wednesday during the month, select restaurants throughout the property will offer traditional wine-pairing dinners. To start, Todd English’s Tuscany will be offering a four-course Tuscan dinner paired with flavorful wines for $95.00 and Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain will be offering a four-course American Regional Cuisine dinner paired with California wines for $75.00. Reservations are not required.
After you and your guests have your fill, be sure to stop by VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock every Wednesday to sip some bubbly while listening to the sweet sounds of a live Jazz Ensemble from 8:00pm – 11:00pm. In addition, on Wednesdays only, all VISTA Lounge bubble cocktails will be upgraded to Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
Finally, along with Tastings & Tapas, The Shops concourse at Mohegan Sun will feature displays and sales from local artists, sculptors and jewelers on the first Wednesday of every month.
Featured wines for 2013-2014 are as follows:

- May-July: French wines
- August-October: Spanish wines
- November-January: Italian wines

Celebrate February 14th at Mohegan Sun with a number of specials to please all sweethearts
Treat your Valentine to more than just conversation hearts and a teddy bear this Valentine’s Day and visit Mohegan Sun where specials are plentiful at shops and restaurants all over property!
Start with a romantic dinner at either Ballo Italian Restaurant & Social Club or Todd English’s Tuscany where delicious specials are being served.
At Ballo Italian Restaurant & Social Club, three special dishes are being prepared in addition to the regular dinner menu. From 3:00pm until 10:00pm, choose from table side Macaroni and Cheese with Black Truffle and Parmigiano for $18.00 or a Pepper Crusted 8-ounce Filet Mignon and 6-ounce Butter Poached Lobster Tail, Fingerling Potatoes and Broccolini for $55.00. Then finish off your meal with a dessert tasting for 2 including Chocolate Budino, Chocolate Cheesecake, a Vanilla Cannoli, Ricotta Zeppole and Biscotti for $24.00.
Then at Todd English’s Tuscany, the Valentine’s Day 4-course meal special, including one complimentary glass of wine each from the house selection, will run from February 14th – 17th for $90.00 per couple. For the first course, enjoy your choice of Caesar or Bibb Salad, then follow that with an appetizer or Flatbread to share. Next, choose from Spaghetti and Meatballs, a 6-ounce Filet Mignon, Crispy Skin Salmon or Chicken Parmesan and finish the meal with a Petit Fallen Chocolate Cake for dessert.
After dinner, treat your honey to something sweet. Visit Ben & Jerry’s for $3.00 off all Valentine’s Day cakes or Godiva Chocolatier where you can take advantage of a special pre-order savings – get six Chocolate Kissed Strawberries for $42.00!

Venice is Calling: How to Craft the Famous Bellini with Lorenzo Canella
Join Lorenzo Canella, owner of Canella Winery, Saturday, January 26th at 12:30pm inside Todd English’s Tuscany as he teaches how to blend his Venetian Prosecco with the succulent juice of Italian peaches to create one of the most delicious drinks made famous by “The Floating City.” Tickets for this event are $50.00 per person.
Argentina and Malbec: The Perfect Pairing
On Saturday, January 26th at 2:30pm, Jimena Turner, the Director of Wine Education at Alamos Winery, will be giving an overview of Argentina and the wines from there, particularly Malbec, as they relate to the rest of the wine industry and why they are performing so well in the market place. This event will be $45.00 per person.

Then on Sunday, January 27th inside Todd English’s Tuscany, join David Yarrington, Director of Brewing Operations at Smuttynose Brewing Company at 12:30pm as he teaches the art of pairing his specialty ales with artisanal cheeses from here and abroad. David will be comparing and contrasting his exceptional brews with double aged goudas, creamy blues, very old cheddars and several other intriguing cheeses such as Red Dragon and Pierre Robert. This seminar will also be featuring ParadoX, a specially created IPA for the 10th anniversary of Sun WineFest! Tickets to this event are $40.00 per person.

Sun during their fourth Restaurant Week! From January 6th to 11th, restaurants all across the property will be featuring some of their best dishes at great prices.

Stop by two of the newest restaurants at Mohegan Sun, Hash House A Go Go and The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, for Restaurant Week specials that will have you coming back for more. At Hash House A Go Go, enjoy a featured dish of Hash House Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles. This unique offering includes two Sage Fried Chicken Breasts atop a Bacon Waffle tower with hot Maple Reduction and Fried Leeks for only $12.95.
Then head upstairs to The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House where Irish specials are featured on the menu all week long! On Sunday for $16.00 per person, traditional Irish Roast with Roasted Potatoes and Vegetables will be served. For Monday’s menu at $12.00 per person, enjoy a Battered Sausage supper with Fries and Batchelors Beans. Tuesday is serving up Baked Irish Ham with Boiled Potatoes, Braised Cabbage and Mustard for $14.00 per person then Wednesday’s dish is a Roast Turkey dinner with Mashed Potatoes, daily Vegetables and Gravy for $16.00 per person. Next, enjoy some pasta with Orecchiette, Broccoli Rabe Pesto, Pine Nuts and Cherry Tomatoes. Then, move on to the Secondi course where Scallops and Scampi, Polenta, Sopressata and Red Pepper are featured. Finally, top off your meal with a Housemade Cannoli. Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe is celebrating Restaurant Week with a meal for just $20.13 per person (plus tax)! Start with your choice of Caesar Salad with Parmesan Croutons. A House Salad with Tomato, Onion and Balsamic Dressing or the featured soup for an appetizer. Then choose an entrée from a list including Penne and Blackened Chicken, Broccoli, Tomatoes and Alfredo Sauce, a 23.Burger with choice of Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and French Fries, or Beer Battered Fish & Chips with Housemade Tartar Sauce.

This December 25th, Mohegan Sun restaurants cook up delicious holiday feasts
This Christmas, spend time enjoying the ones you love around a table at Mohegan Sun! On December 25th, all restaurants will be open with several restaurants on property offering holiday dining specials for you and whoever you choose to spend the special day with.
TODD ENGLISH’S TUSCANY
Enjoy a four-course Christmas meal near the waterfall at Todd English’s Tuscany for $55.00 per person or $90.00 per person with wine pairings. Start the meal off with a Scungilli Salad of Celery Leaves, Cherry Peppers, Lemon and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. For the second course, enjoy Fettuccini with Braised Brisket, Artichokes, Cèpe & Peas and for the third course, indulge with housemade Porchetta and Broccollini with Garlic and Lemon and Fried Salt Cured Potatoes.
