UNCASVILLE, CT (September 19, 2018) – Pokerstars Ambassador Chris Moneymaker will be among hundreds of hopefuls keen to make their mark at Mohegan Sun’s Poker Room October 4th – 7th when the Moneymaker PSPC Tour makes its sixth stop of the series.

Players will have the chance to win life-changing sums of money by parlaying an $86 buy in into a Platinum Pass, worth $30,000, to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC). They can also stop by the annual Sun Brewfest on Saturday, October 6th in the Earth Expo & Conventions Center where they’ll find live entertainment, games, a cornhole tournament and delicious food.

The ‘Moneymaker PSPC Tour’, Chris’ brain-child, will run six more live $86 buy-in tournaments, each awarding cash prizes and a Platinum Pass.

To date, more than 3,000 entrants have participated in the Moneymaker PSPC Tour with approximately 800 entrants at Stones Gambling Hall in Sacramento, California, approximately 1,000 entrants at Lucky Chances, Colma, San Francisco and approximately 1,300 entrants at Foxwoods, Connecticut.
So far, nine US players will join some of the world’s best poker players in the Bahamas next year, including PokerStars Carribean Adventure (PCA) National Championship winner Maria Konnikova, PCA Day 2 draw winner Thai Ha, PCA Wild Card Winner David Peters, NJSCOOP Main Event Winner (High) Michael Page, NJSCOOP Main Event Winner (Low) Derik Lee, and LIPS National Championship Alice Zheng. There’s also Moneymaker PSPC Tour champion Cliff Ellefson who picked up a Platinum Pass at Stones Gambling Hall, 76-year old John Mokhtari from Belmont, California, who picked up a pass at Lucky Chances and Foxwoods champ Ronald Mici, a 25-year-old janitor at the World Trade Center who comes from Bronx, New York. Chris Moneymaker formulated the new multi-stop ‘Moneymaker PSPC Tour’ to give US players the chance to emulate his WSOP win back in 2003 when he turned $86 into $2,500,000 by beating 838 players at the Main Event, sparking the famous ‘Moneymaker Effect’.

DeepStacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun National Championship To Be Held December 1-3, 2012

DeepStacks Poker Tour, the North American poker series featuring the game’s top pros playing in affordable buy-in tournaments, has partnered with the East Coast’s premier entertainment and gaming destination, Mohegan Sun, to deliver a series of championship poker events.
Under this deal, the DEEPSTACKS POKER TOUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AT MOHEGAN SUN will be held December 1-3, 2012. The $2500 buy-in event features a $500,000 guarantee and has already drawn commitments from DeepStacks Pros and World Series of Poker champions Mike “The Mouth” Matusow and Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, as well as WPT Champions Randal “RandAllIn” Flowers and Justin “Boosted J” Smith.
The DeepStacks Poker Tour Mohegan Sun National Championship will be the final tournament of the 11-day series at Mohegan Sun, running from Nov. 23 – Dec. 3, featuring 32 events The final table will be televised regionally, with announcer Joe Stapleton alongside analyst and WSOP bracelet winner Tristan “Cre8ive” Wade.
The winner of each DeepStacks Poker Tour event earns a seat to the DSPT National Championship at Mohegan Sun.
