PokerStars.NET AND MOHEGAN SUN GEAR UP FOR NORTH AMERICAN POKER TOUR $25K HIGH ROLLER BOUNTY SHOOTOUT EVENTNAPT Mohegan Sun High Roller event taking place April 12th and 13th.

All eyes will be on Connecticut in April when Mohegan Sun in Uncasville plays host to the third stop of the PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour.
The sixteen-day poker festival will feature some of the best players in the world competing in top-notch events including a $25,600 two-day High Roller Bounty Shootout. Not only will players gain a $5,000 bounty every time they knock out an opponent, but PokerStars.net is adding a seat into the next High Roller Bounty Shootout for the player who collects the most bounties – a prize worth almost $30,000, including accommodations.
The High Roller tournament combines both bounty and shootout formats. Round one on April 12th involves nine tables of nine players, with the first place finisher from each table competing in the winner-takes-all final on April 13th. All the finalists will get $50,000. The remainder (less all the bounties) goes to the overall winner.
Team PokerStars.net Pro Daniel Negreanu said, “I had the opportunity to play in the first High Roller Bounty Shootout at NAPT Venetian in February and I have to say it’s an incredibly exciting format. I am really looking forward to the chance to play again at NAPT Mohegan Sun – and reach the final this time! It’s going to be a great event.”
To give many players an opportunity to play in the High Roller Bounty Shootout event, Mohegan Sun has scheduled a special $5,250 Super-Satellite qualifying tournament at noon on Sunday, April 11th. PokerStars.net is guaranteeing ten (10) $25,600 entries as prizes in this Super-Satellite, with $51,200 (2 entries) added to the prize pool. At least one in-five entrants are guaranteed to win their way through to the High Roller Bounty Shootout event through this Super-Satellite.

The tournament will feature the $5,000 buy-in Main Event as well as the $25,600 buy-in Bounty Shootout event, both of which will be produced for a total of four hours for future broadcast on ESPN2 and be hosted by Joanna Krupa of Dancing with the Stars. The Main Event takes place April 7th – 11th and more than 600 players are expected to participate.
Other events include a $300.00 “Ladies only” tournament, a $1,100 buy-in tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, as well as other events at a wide assortment of buy-in levels.
