Celebrity Weekend features New England’s Biggest Celebrity Golf Event and Concerts

One of golf’s most celebrated charity events—the Ahmad Rashad Celebrity Classic—returns July 26th-29th 2012 at Mohegan Sun. 
NFL All-Pro, Emmy Award-winning sportscaster and College Football Hall of Famer Ahmad Rashad hosts the 2012 Ahmad Rashad Celebrity Classic. More than 40 stars of sports and entertainment will participate. The event includes Celebrity Pro-Ams, Celebrity Team Championship open to spectators and a new charity concert in the Mohegan Sun Arena. 
The Ahmad Rashad Celebrity Classic also returns with a new shining twist—The REACH Foundation Charity Concert 70’s Soul Jam, which features the legendary chart-topping bands The Stylistics, The Delfonics, The Main Ingredient featuring Cuba Gooding Sr, The Chi Lites, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Dramatics and The Manhattans. REACH has committed proceeds from the Ahmad Rashad event to benefit the Wilson-Gray YMCA Youth & Family Center in Hartford, Conn., supporting the building of the new outdoor community basketball court and the purchase of land for a community garden. The REACH Charity Concert also supports The First Tee of Connecticut.
