The 50th anniversary of this holiday classic will take place on December 15th and 16th

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Albano’s Nutcracker this winter featuring its live orchestra as it enters its 11th anniversary holiday season at Mohegan Sun Arena. The performances will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 7:00pm and Sunday, December 16th at 2:00pm.

Lavish costumes, new theatrical scenery, international stars and a cast of over 100 dancers bring to life the story of a beautiful Nutcracker Christmas gift that transports a child named Clara to a magical world with giant mice, a Cavalier Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The story of the Nutcracker embraces Christmas and its symbolic tree that grows to huge proportions. Giant mice with blinking eyes and an exploding cannon are part of the dazzling stage theatrics. The 2012 edition of this Classic Christmas Ballet features new choreography and a live orchestra and chorale.
