Full concert lineup for September 18th now includes Boyz II Men, Wilson Phillips, En Vogue, Coolio, Shock G & Freedom Williams; Hosted by Ed Lover
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 5, 2015) —Mohegan Sun Arena’s Best of 90s Concert, set for 8:00pm on Friday, September 18th, just got a little sweeter. The show will now be MC’d by non other than Ed Lover, the guy who has done it all in entertainment, whether it be TV, books, radio, movies, standup Comedy or DJing.
Not to be outdone, Oakland, CA’s Shock G of Digital Underground has joined the bill as well. The rapper that took the music industry by storm in the late 80s and early 90s will bring hits like the “The Humpty Dance” and “doowutchayalike,” plus many more to the stage come September 18th. Digital Underground have sold over 10 Million albums and received many awards, including a Grammy. Their 1990 album, Sex Packets, individually went platinum. The group is also known for launching the career of one of Hip-Hop’s most prolific artists, 2pac.
Freedom Williams and C And C Music Factory hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990 with the mega hit, “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).” The band would also climb up the charts in the 90s with hits “Here We Go Let’s Rock and Roll,” “Things That Make You Go Hmm” and “Touch Of Love.” C And C Music Factory was at the forefront of some of the best and most successful dance music of their era, selling over 8 million units and staking claim to five #1 Dance/Club Play hits in the early to mid 1990s!
Ed Lover can currently be heard on Sirius XM’s Backspin Channel, Monday through Friday 6:00pm through 10:00pm EST. He is the only full time show on the channel.
