Mandara Spa & Mohegan Sun Open Another Notable Spa Concept, Marking A New Era in the Region’s Spa & Wellness Offerings

Tribe and Mohegan Sun, today opened the highly – anticipated luxury Mandara Spa. The Sky Tower spa is the global Mandara brand’s 57th location. The spa will serve as the main spa on property and join its outpost Earth Tower spa, which opened in February 2017, introducing a wellness concept that is technologically advanced, yet rooted in traditional Balinese healing and infused with holistic and New Age experiences.
A 16,015 square – foot healing house, Mandara Spa elevates the experience at Mohegan Sun through its heritage of guest care and unparalleled service. The 13 – room sanctuary for the senses features 2 couples’ suites, 8 single massage rooms, 3 esthetic rooms, men and ladies calming lounges, locker rooms with amenities (sauna, steam room and hydropool), a spa reception with retail area, full service salon and a fitness center. A new floor plan allows for creative spacing of the relaxation lounges and the addition of features with optimal health benefits such as the Salt Inhalation Therapy wall, while the staple ELEMIS Spa Therapy product brand is a mainstay used in many of the new menu of services. Steps from Mandara Spa & Salon is a fully renovated fitness center as well, bringing the total square-footage to 19,000 between these three revamped spaces.

The Mandara Spa Sky Tower experience includes new signature treatments such as the Power Poultice Muscle Release, Hot Mineral Body Boost and ELEMIS BIOTEC facials. These therapies will join the likes of the Mandara Customized Massage, Fire & Ice Massage and Mandara Signature Facial, which were introduced last year in the Earth Tower and a lineup of mindful and wellness focused services debuting at the main spa.
NEW AGE RESURGENCE AND MINDFUL CONSIDERATION
As the Mandara Spa brand developed a menu of treatment offerings, a collection of ancient and modern treatments were selected for the new, New Age spa enthusiast. Crystal healing, sound meditation and breath work are not new by no means, but these popular therapies have resurged. Among the novelties spa guests will enjoy is the MLX Quartz, an Amber and Quartz Crystal Bed used to mold and shape warm crystals around the body to release muscle tension, detoxify and promote a deeper state of relaxation.

Mandara Spa Sky Tower and Earth Tower were modeled after the brand’s portfolio. The spa reception makes a first impression with its modern feel, clean lines and a curated range of ELEMIS products.
