The 7th Annual Sun Whiskey Union at Mohegan Sun is now with the addition of four brand new, limited capacity events at TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge and Clay Pipe Cigar Bar on Friday, April 7th, and Saturday, April 8th.
TAO Japanese Whisky Dinner

Spirits & Cigars presented by Mohegan Sun’s Barrel Select Program

Partake in an exclusive whiskey tasting featuring Mohegan Sun’s limited Barrel Select Program. A wide variety of tasting options will be offered from nine single barrels including our newest single barrel releases, Maker’s Mark, Private Reserve and Whistle Pig Piggyback. Additional offerings to include Angel’s Envy, Breckenridge Bourbon, Elijah Craig, Knob Creek Rye, and Knob Creek Bourbon. Tastings are paired with a complimentary Clay Pipe infused cigar. Try a half ounce of each one of our offerings and track your pairings with our checklist card in this one-of-a-kind tasting experience!
Friends of Laphroaig

Get a private first taste of the exclusive Laphroaig Single Barrel Cask Barrel selected by Mohegan Sun, available to the public later this year, as well as three additional expressions from Laphroaig. Each ticket includes a tasting experience hosted by Beam Suntory representatives.
Clay Pipe Nightcap

Don’t end Sun Whiskey Union Weekend without a nightcap! Stop by Clay Pipe Cigar Bar for our late-night specially crafted smoked whiskey cocktails. Come finish your night off with a Smoked Whiskey Mai Tai or keep your night going with our Smoked Espresso Martini. One complimentary Clay Pipe infused cigar and two specialty cocktails included with admission.
The main event, Sun Whiskey Union, takes place from 8:00pm to 11:00pm on Saturday, April 8th in the Earth Ballroom. Guests will be able to listen to live music by Jason Ingriselli & The Miles North , taste topflight whiskey, scotch, bourbon and rye, and sample unique craft cocktails. Sun Whiskey Union will feature various distilleries like Beam Suntory and Penelope Bourbon with experts on hand to answer a variety of questions on their style of whiskey and other libations! Delicious food by Bear’s Smokehouse and delectable treats by NoRA Cupcake Company also join the mix!
Sun Whiskey Union will also feature exciting silent auction items from the world of sports, entertainment, and pop culture provided by Ocean State Charity Events. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit United Way.
Tickets for Sun Whiskey Union are $70 and on sale now through Ticketmaster and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. A portion of ticket proceeds from Saturday’s Sun Whiskey Union will go to support the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. Guests must be 21 years of age of older to attend all Sun Whiskey Union Weekend events. Valid ID and ticket are required upon entry at all event doors.
