The extensive renovation project focused on improving every aspect of playability and aesthetics at Mohegan Sun Golf Club. Featuring design guidance and expertise from renowned architect Ron Garl, the redesign introduced strategic bunker reductions, upgraded cart paths, selective tree removal, and a series of other adjustments to optimize sightlines and overall play. The initiative prioritized an enhanced golfing experience for all players—and delivering a noticeably smoother pace of play—an achievement brought to life by the MSGC team under the leadership of Philip Krick Jr., VP & GM of Golf Operations.
Additionally, the project involved the introduction of two entirely new designs to holes #3, #6 and #11. A multitude of upgrades also included all-new irrigation and drainage systems, ensuring elevated playing conditions.

Mohegan Sun will celebrate the 152nd Kentucky Derby with two major events on Saturday, May 2nd — including a brand-new Sun Patio outdoor viewing party and the return of the high‑energy Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook (MSFD) experience, which will take place from 11:00am – 8:00pm.
