Special presentation took place backstage; Group became 40th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 27, 2023) – Prior to the return of Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s (TSO) “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” to Mohegan Sun Arena yesterday evening, the Progressive Rock group was honored as the 40th Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame inductee.
TSO sold out the renowned 10,000-seat Arena for the 28th and 29th time in a row during two consecutive performances during the 2023 holiday tour. The group has played in front of over 190,000 dedicated fans since their first Mohegan Sun Arena appearance in 2003. “TSO has always been a fan favorite at Mohegan Sun Arena, said Tom Cantone, President of Sports and Entertainment at Mohegan. “Everyone in attendance receives an exhilarating, unforgettable experience from TSO whenever they are on property. “Every TSO show is a memory for life with your family and friends, and that’s what we do best.” Trans-Siberian Orchestra joins Thomas Rhett, Shinedown, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffet, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and more as the latest inductee into the Mohegan Sun Arena Walk of Fame.
A product of the imagination of TSO’s late founder Paul O’Neill and based on TSO’s multi-platinum CD and TV special, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” follows the journey of a runaway who breaks into an abandoned vaudeville theater on December 24th. While seeking shelter from the cold, the teen is discovered by the theater’s caretaker who uses the ghosts and spirits from the building’s past to turn her life around. Following the performance of the Rock opera, 2023’s tour also boasts a rocking, blazing, and laser-lit second set containing more of TSO’s greatest hits, fan-favorites, and surprises.
Since its touring debut, TSO has played more than 2,000 Winter Tour shows to more than 18 million fans. In just the past 10 years (encompassing nine tours), TSO has performed for more than 8 million fans. Keeping with O’Neill’s vision, TSO remains one of rock’s most charitable bands. To date, TSO has donated more than $18 million in ticket sales to charity.
The Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame honors individuals who have made major contributions to Mohegan Sun’s success as the Northeast’s top entertainment destination. The names of all those admitted into the Walk of Fame will be etched on a plaque that will be permanently displayed at the entrance of Mohegan Sun Arena.

Mohegan Sun Arena is ending the year on a high note! Starting Thursday, December 28th, Cirque Dreams Celebration is set to bring three nights of festive entertainment to Mohegan Sun Arena. Cirque Dreams Celebration features an ensemble of aerial circus acts, sleight-of-hand jugglers, fun-loving skippers, breath-catching acrobatics, and much more. This world-renowned cast of performers will be accompanied by an original music score, including new twists on seasonal favorites such as “Deck the Halls,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Singers, dancers, penguins, toy soldiers, and reindeer invoke the dreams behind a child’s eye on the most magical of nights. Amidst a backdrop of new sets, scenery, and storylines, this family-friendly production is sure to put a twinkle in your eye! All three shows begin at 7:00pm. Over at the Wolf Den, guests can experience three nights of free, live entertainment. On Friday, December 29th, Raise Your Hands: Bon Jovi Tribute, the premier tribute to the music & spirit of Bon Jovi, will kick off at 8:00pm and features both hits and deep catalog tracks. Karina Rykman brings her “Joyride Tour 2023” to the Wolf Den on Saturday, December 30th at 8:00pm, featuring her original take on Psychedelic Indie Rock. On Sunday, December 31st, widely popular ‘80s tribute band, RUBIX KUBE, wraps up 2023 with two shows at 8:00pm and 11:00pm! Comix Roadhouse will play host to five rounds of live entertainment, all on Sunday, December 31st! New Year’s Eve Special Events
On Sunday, December 31st, guests can let a magical adventure sweep them away with an enchanting sit-down dinner at the New Year’s Eve Dinner Gala in the Uncas Ballroom. A cocktail reception will take place from 6:00pm – 7:00pm with dinner immediately following from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Music will be provided by Middle Eastern Music Ensemble. At 10:30pm, the Uncas Ballroom transforms for the ultimate NYE countdown at Party into the New Year. The Shops Concourse will come alive when DJae Melee blasts the beats and DFX Entertainment perform their high-energy acts as guests countdown to Midnight, capping off with an incredible pyrotechnic display! Live at The Cabaret Theatre May 10th and 11th
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 20, 2023) –– Star Comedian Anthony Rodia will perform two shows at The Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun as a part of his Totally Relatable Tour on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th. Both shows kick off at 8:00pm.

Rodia came out of the womb making people laugh. In his 20’s he tried a few open mics, but ultimately took a different career path as a finance manager of a luxury car dealership. In 2019, Rodia returned to comedy and left his day job to become a full-time stand-up comic. He hit the ground running and performed 100 shows in just nine months, and within three years Anthony has gained a massive fan base online and around the country.
In a very short time, Anthony gained over 900,000 social media followers and his YouTube videos have amassed over 22 million views. Rodia’s comedy pulls from his real life and razor-sharp observations on marriage, parenthood, road rage, and everything else worthy of a social media rant.
With the onset of quarantine, Anthony made the most of a captive audience, delivering a staggering 86 weekly videos. “ROAD RAGE WEDNESDAY” became a fan favorite, but his Uncle Vinny and Zia Lucia characters transformed into a phenomenon. They are the crazy uncle and aunt you love but can’t be out in public with, who speak their minds (whether you asked for it or not).

80’s Rock Invasion Lineup:
Stephen Pearcy of RATT
As the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the Metal Rock band RATT, Stephen Pearcy is credited with being a pioneer of the early 80’s Sunset Strip Rock scene. He led his creation to mega multi-platinum success year after year from 1984 to 1991, capturing critical acclaim for his performances, style and uniquely salacious vocals. Pearcy formed RATT in Los Angeles in 1982 from his previous band Mickey RATT. Known for their overtly sexual appearance, rebellious attitude and take no prisoner approach to Metal, Atlantic Records recognized RATT’s potential and star power, thus signing the band to a contract resulting in the 1984 album Out of the Cellar, which became one of many multi-platinum successes. RATT climbed up the charts with singles from Out of the Cellar, soaring past Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”, Van Halen’s “Panama”, Madonna’s “Borderline” and David Bowie’s “Blue Jean”.
QUIET RIOT
QUIET RIOT is a Rock & Roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first Heavy Metal band to top the Pop chart at #1 on Billboard Magazine, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album Metal Health.
Vixen
Vixen is the only all-female band of the 80’s to sell over a million albums, have six #1 videos on MTV, and have four songs in Billboard’s Top 100. EMI Records released their self-named debut album Vixen featuring the groups’ first hit “Edge of a Broken Heart”, penned by Richard Marx and Fee Waybill (The Tubes). MTV became Vixen’s playground and so coupled with exhaustive touring Vixen embarked on their ride.
Riley’s LA Guns
L.A. Guns got their start on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip. The band was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled L.A. Guns, went on to sell over 1,000,000 copies giving the band its first platinum award. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band earned the band a gold video award from the RIAA. L.A. Guns went into the studio to record their second album, Cocked and Loaded, in the spring of 1989. It was a hit right away with the release of “Rip and Tear” as the first single and video. “Never Enough” and “The Ballad of Jayne” followed, pushing the album toward platinum status once again. With more than 30 years’ worth of noteworthy material, the band have proved to be true warriors of the 80’s genre.
