Staind frontman to headline Mohegan Sun Arena on February 16th
In support of his latest album Town Line, Aaron Lewis will bring his diverse solo set to Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, February 16th at 8:00pm.
Tickets are $30.00 and go on sale Friday, November 25th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, November 26th, subject to availability.
Country music comes naturally for Aaron Lewis. In fact, the Staind frontman never strayed very far from Country. It’s something that he grew up with. It’s something that he comes back to. It’s something that inspires him. It’s something that’s in his blood. Hints of that are present in the stripped honesty and acoustic melodies of Staind hits such as “Outside,” “It’s Been Awhile” and “So Far Away.”
However, Lewis fully shows that spirit on his five-song Town Line debut solo release for Nashville-based R&J Records and most prevalently, via its first single, “Country Boy.” With a little help from legends Charlie Daniels and George Jones, Lewis tells his story like never before on the song. “Country Boy” serves as a fitting introduction to Town Line. Lewis’ voice carries a catchy chorus over a slide guitar, and he opens up about his past, present and future. Featuring a fiery fiddle lead from Daniels, a booming verse from Jones, “Country Boy” strikes a balance between classic and modern Country.
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked the 4th best venue by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 and 2010 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events at Mohegan Sun, visit mohegansun.com. Ms. Hill sang and deeply appreciated music at a young age; known for being very animated, she also acted, danced and enjoyed performance art of various kinds. She spent her formative years acting in plays and being cast in television commercials, as well as the daytime drama As the World Turns, Steven Soderbergh’s King of the Hill and Sister Act II with Whoopi Goldberg. Ironically all of this was done while she was still a full-time student. After graduating high school with stellar grades, she attended Columbia University in New York while a member of the then up-and-coming musical group the Fugees.
She would establish a reputation in the music world as the lone female member of the Fugees, whose record sales would make them the second biggest selling R&B act worldwide since Michael Jackson. She launched her solo career with the release of the commercially successful and critically acclaimed album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The recording earned a record breaking five Grammy Awards.

Montgomery Gentry has captured a large following with their “what you see is what you get” mentality. Their accolades include gold and platinum albums, CMA and ACM awards, a Grammy nomination and sold-out tours. The duo’s new collection, the aptly titled Rebels On The Run, brings Montgomery Gentry fans back to the beginning, but with a fresh attitude. Produced by Michael Knox, who has helped build Jason Aldean to superstar status, Eddie and Troy’s latest effort will likely be remembered as their best album thus far in their decade-plus history.
Son of a former University of Missouri basketball star who later got drafted to the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Trent debuted his first single, “Drunker Than Me” in 2005 which was followed by his album Country Is My Rock. “Drunker Than Me” peaked on the U.S. Country chart at #19. “One Wing in the Fire” hit #11 on the chart, the highest position of his career in 2006. Trent Tomlinson’s debut album Country is My Rock produced three Top 40 singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He just released a new single under Skyville Records, “A Man Without A Woman.”
