Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus, housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 7, 2021) – This fall Mohegan Sun is set to host two hiring events on Wednesday, October 13th and Wednesday, October 27th. 
Employment opportunities are open in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus while all housekeeping and Barista-Starbucks positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.
Both of these hiring events slated for October 13th and 27th will take place from 10:00am – 5:00pm located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center.
The public is welcome to attend both hiring events. Before attending the hiring event, interested candidates should create an account on the Mohegan Sun career site at mohegansun.com/careers. Additionally, walk-ins are welcome and top candidates will be hired on the spot!

Uncasville, CT (August 26, 2021) –Sun BBQ Fest is back at Mohegan Sun, as guests can once again celebrate and enjoy amazing barbecue, cold beer, hand-crafted cocktails, live music, and so much more. The 8th Annual Sun BBQ Fest is a two day event taking place in the Winter Parking Lot on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Nationally-acclaimed BBQ teams will be on hand for the People’s Choice Competition that allows festival goers to try their incredible food. Guests can also participate in the annual Wing and Rib Competition. Sun BBQ Fest also includes a World Food Championship-sanctioned barbecue competition with teams participating in barbeque, dessert, and burger contests. Over the course of two days, more than $25,000 in prize money will be awarded!
Tickets for Sun BBQ Fest $5.00 per day and on sale now through sunbbqfest.com and at Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids ages six and under receive free admission. Admission tickets and $1.00 tickets for food and beverages will be also be available for purchase at the festival entrance. Tickets are required to be used to purchase food and beverage from bar, vendors and BBQ partners.
Ribs & Wings Galore
Guests can feast throughout the day by participating in the People’s Choice Contest. World Food Championship teams will offer $2.00 BBQ samples all weekend long, and guests can vote for the best in show. Voting will be open from Saturday at 11:00am until Sunday at 3:00pm and the winners will be announced on Sunday at 4:00pm.
In addition to the People’s Choice competition, guests can indulge at the Rib and Wing Challenges. All World Food Championship competitors will be given racks of ribs and loads of chicken wings to prepare in any flavor they wish. For $1 each, guests can taste any ribs or wings and help determine who reigns supreme. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening prior to the fireworks show, and a portion of the proceeds from both competitions benefit Operation BBQ Relief, an organization dedicated to providing meals to disaster-stricken communities across the U.S. The Rib Challenge Tent is open to guests on Saturday from Noon – 2:30pm, and the Wing Challenge Tent is open on Saturday from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Guests can check out the Coca-Cola activation area that features a real life size Nascar vehicle and tastings of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. This space also features games the entire family can enjoy including mini golf, giant jingo, cornhole, and great prizes.

Mohegan Sun will feature some can’t miss dining specials
for Father’s Day, taking place on Sunday, June 20th. These dining specials will include Jumbo Surf & Turf at Michael Jordan’s Steak House, a Cowboy Ribeye at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill just next door and Chipotle BBQ Ribs at Mohegan Sun’s popular Mexican restaurant, SolToro. With the NBA Playoffs going on and the MLB in full swing, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is a great place to spoil Dads on Sunday, June 20th. This venue will be featuring Steak Bruschetta as well as a Cowboy Ribeye that delivers a 16oz bone-in Ribeye steak with roasted tomatoes, chimichurri and a loaded potato. Employment opportunities are open in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus and housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.
The hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, June 10th will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm in the Earth Ballroom, located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. A third hiring event will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24th in The Cabaret Theatre, located in Casino of the Sky.

Dining and retail specials offered Sunday, May 9th
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 3, 2021) – Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9th and guests are invited to treat Mom to a special day at Mohegan Sun. BALLO Italian Restaurant, Michael Jordan’s Steak House, SolToro and more are serving up delicious dining specials and The Shops at Mohegan Sun have the perfect gift that Mom is sure to love.
A Mother’s Day meal at BALLO Italian Restaurant starts with the choice of a classic caprese salad topped with aged balsamico and paired with focaccia bread, or a mista salad with marinated shrimp, eggplant caponata, roasted red pepper, grilled corn, marinated & slow roasted tomatoes and arugula topped with a lemon basil vinaigrette. The entrée is veal saltimbocca with prosciutto, spinach, mozzarella, fried sage and slow roasted tomatoes. Dessert is either a decadent amaretto crème brûlée or angel food cake with limoncello, mixed berries, basil and whipped cream. BALLO Italian Restaurant is open on Mother’s Day from 3:00pm – 10:00pm.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House is serving a three course meal that starts with colossal crab cocktail made of lump crab meat, Jonah crab claw, Meyer lemon vinaigrette and avocado. The main course is surf & turf with a 7 oz. filet mignon, stuffed lobster tail, asparagus and roasted tomato hollandaise. Dessert is refreshing mixed berries topped with granola crumble, whipped cream and mint.
Over at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, Mom can enjoy tomato bruschetta with beefsteak tomato, red onion, garlic, pesto, parmesan and a balsamic reduction. Dinner is seafood stuffed salmon made with Black Pearl salmon topped with hollandaise and a side of pesto mashed potatoes. Dessert is a delicious banana spring roll topped with cinnamon sugar, caramel and served with vanilla ice cream.
A three course meal at SolToro starts with a beet salad made with arugula, jalapeño, Boursin cheese and honey chipotle vinaigrette. The main course is a mixed grill with ancho chile filet mignon, poblano cream cheese chicken breast, achiote pork tenderloin, chile glaze and a side of fried plantains. For dessert, devour an apple cinnamon chimichanga with Kahlua, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Holiday dining and retail specials are available on Sunday, April 4th
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 30, 2021) – Easter is right around the corner, and Mohegan Sun restaurants BALLO Italian Restaurant, Hash House A Go Go, Michael Jordan’s Steak House and more are inviting guests to gather around the table for a special meal. The Shops at Mohegan Sun are also celebrating with a variety of retail specials. All dining and retail specials are valid on Sunday, April 4th.
Dinner at BALLO Italian Restaurant starts with either crispy baby artichoke hearts with parmigiano, slow roasted garlic and lemon, or BALLO’s famous tableside flaming Mac & Cheese. The main course is a choice between homemade Cavatelli, lamb ragu and grana padana, or Risotto, sea scallops, and English peas topped with shaved black truffle. Dessert is lemon pistachio cannoli.
Todd English’s Tuscany’s Easter dinner is braised lamb shank with spring pea risotto and an heirloom tomato and arugula salad. Dinner at Todd English’s Tuscany starts at 5:00pm.
Easter specials at Hash House A Go Go include an Easter basket pancake topped with jelly beans and shredded coconut, Margie’s Crab Benedict made with all blue crab cake on a bed of mashed potatoes, a split biscuit, spinach and sliced tomato, and a glazed ham dinner served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes with fresh spring vegetables and a side of peach chutney.
Guests who spend Easter with Michael Jordan’s Steak House can enjoy a three course meal that starts with Moroccan lamb lollipops with feta-mint yogurt and aged balsamic. The main course is bone-in beef short rib with whipped Yukon gold potatoes, rainbow chard, mushroom ragu and pistachio gremolata. Complete the meal with a decadent slice of carrot cake. MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is serving up a meal that features either a pork tenderloin sandwich with Vermont cheddar, caramelized apples, bacon jam and chipotle mayo, or Lamb kebabs with peppers, onions, tomatoes, fingerling potatoes, pickled peppers and mint tzatziki. Guests can tie their Easter dinner together with a slice of carrot cake. MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is open on Easter Sunday from Noon – 9:00pm.
Easter Dinner at SolToro is a rack of lamb with grilled vegetables and topped with an ancho chile glaze. Dessert is Capirotada – a Mexican bread pudding with white chocolate mousse and caramel sauce.
