Carlo’s Bakery Coming to Mohegan Sun

Famed bakery as seen on TLC’s Cake Boss to debut first Northeast location this February inside Mohegan Sun
Uncasville, CT (December 18, 2014) – Things are getting sweeter as Buddy Valastro, the star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss and Next Great Baker, announces his ninth location, opening at Mohegan Sun’s flagship property in Connecticut in February 2015.
The new bakery will be the first New England location for Carlo’s Bakery, which currently has seven other active locations including its flagship bakery in Hoboken, NJ; locations in Ridgewood, NJ; Westfield, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Morristown, NJ; Las Vegas, NV and Marlton, NJ.
“I’m thrilled to bring Carlo’s Bakery to Mohegan Sun,” said Buddy Valastro, owner of Carlo’s Bakery. “This is a destination for fun and food and we can’t wait to be a part of the famiglia!”

The bakery will be located in the Winter section of the Casino of the Earth, be roughly 3,200 square feet and will offer all the same famous Italian pastries and specialty cakes that originated in Hoboken.

Christmas & New Year’s Specials At Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 4, 2014) – Celebrate the Holidays with Mohegan Sun and take advantage of all the dining and shopping deals during Christmas and New Year’s!
Todd English’s Tuscany invites guests to spend the Holidays dining on some of their finest meals including a Christmas Day Chef’s Tasting. The $60.00 per person ($90.00 per person with wine pairings) dinner features four courses including a porcini onion soup, braised rabbit ravioli, cider-brined pork tenderloin and tiramisu eggnog truffle. On New Year’s Eve, Todd English’s Tuscany is offering a $75.00 per person Surf & Turf dinner from 5:00pm to Midnight. On New Year’s Day, they are serving up a special brunch from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
Beginning Christmas Eve through New Year’s Eve, BALLO Italian Restaurant will feature a $58.00 per person Surf and Turf dish. The plate will include a 14 oz. New York strip, a 6 oz. Maine lobster tail and Brussels sprouts topped with pancetta and honey.
On Mondays and Tuesdays in December, Geno’s Bagels, Sweets & Subs will offer a chicken nugget lunch special from Noon to 2:00pm and 10% off the pulled pork meal from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 10:00am – Noon all breakfast sandwiches will be 10% off.

Thanksgiving Specials At Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, CT (October 27, 2014) – This Thanksgiving, Mohegan Sun is serving up endless dining and shopping specials for friends, family and loved ones to gobble up!
Enjoy a $34.00 per person meal at Todd English’s Tuscany from 1:00pm-4:00pm. First course boasts wood-roasted pear and gorgonzola salad followed by a second course of sage brined Heritage turkey, sausage and potato stuffing, roasted root vegetables, bacon and dijon brussels sprout petals, sweet potato with pecan crumbles, grappa sauce and giblet gravy. Pecan bread pudding with Tahitian gelato serves as the sweet treat to round out this Thanksgiving meal.
Ballo Italian Restaurant is offering a $42.95 per person, 3-course dinner including your choice of classic Caesar salad, meatballs with pomodoro and ricotta or crispy pork belly with honey crisp apples, radicchio and chili-infused honey to start. Second course is a choice of five deluxe entrées including a rigatoni with spicy sausage ragu and pecorino fonduta, seared shrimp with honey-glazed carrots, walnuts and goat cheese polenta or a ricotta gnocchi with squash, bacon, chestnuts and apples. For dessert, enjoy a pumpkin cannoli with candied walnuts.
