Uncasville, CT (April 11th, 2014) – In celebration of Easter Sunday, Mohegan Sun is providing a variety of dining and shopping discounts as well as an exciting opportunity for kids to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and participate in an Easter egg hunt!
On Easter Sunday, guests are treated to a wood grilled ham chop with spring vegetables and a tomato parmesan broth for just $34.00 at Todd English’s Tuscany. For dessert a sweet and savory black bottom crème brûlée will be available for only $8.00.
Ballo Italian Restaurant is also hosting an exclusive Easter Sunday dinner. Guests will be offered many delicious options from Ballo’s three course menu, for the price of $65.00 per person. Choose from three different appetizers including a crispy pork belly with honey crisp apples, radicchio and chili infused honey. Follow up your first course with one of Ballo’s special Easter main courses, including grilled lamb chops with escarole and livornese, day boat sea scallops with grilled asparagus alongside fig and goat cheese polenta, or tagliatelle with shrimp, lemon and cherry tomatoes. Round out the meal with one of three specialty desserts.
An Easter Sunday dinner special can also be found at Geno’s Fast Break. Geno’s is providing a three course prefix menu for just $39.00 per person. Some specialty items found on this menu include: Geno’s ale and cheddar soup with crispy pork belly, pan roasted salmon accompanied by lobster and fingerling potato salad, and an ax handle roasted angus rib eye of beef in au jus.
Kid’s Quest will be serving up fun for the whole family all Easter weekend long! On Saturday, April 19th and Sunday, April 20th, families are invited to stop by Kid’s Quest to take part in a special Easter egg hunt. At noon, 2:00pm and 6:00pm children can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, search for eggs and play fun group games for exciting prizes!

Thomas Hooker Brewery Comes To Mohegan Sun

Two of Connecticut’s top businesses align.
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 24, 2014)- Mohegan Sun has teamed up with Connecticut’s beer, and is pleased to announce the grand opening of Thomas Hooker Brewery. The brewery, located inside the Race Book in Casino of the Earth brews hand crafted, unique beers on-site at Mohegan Sun; providing beer buffs with the local, fresh, quality beer they’ve been searching for.
Named after the founding father of Hartford, the Thomas Hooker Brewing Company has been a Connecticut staple for years. Originating from Bloomfield, Hooker has drawn in an impressive following thanks to their refreshingly uncommon beers, brewery tours and tasting parties. Thomas Hooker boasts 14 unique beers including a summertime crowd pleaser, Watermelon Ale.
The Thomas Hooker Brewery at Mohegan Sun will officially open on Friday, March 28th. The Brewery will feature six beers on tap including their; Blonde, IPA, Irish Red Ale, Liberator Doppelbock, Chocolate Truffle Stout and one specialty beer crafted specifically for Mohegan Sun.

Mohegan Sun Hosts Restaurant Week January 12th – 17th

The Restaurants of Mohegan Sun offer a week of discounts and specials
Calling all foodies! Prepare for a week of delicious deals and special menus as the Restaurants at Mohegan Sun celebrate Restaurant Week from January 12th through the 17th. Diners can also enjoy 20% off at Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain, Todd English’s Tuscany, Bobby’s Burger Palace and Seasons Buffet all week long.

BALLO Italian Restaurant
Each night throughout Restaurant Week, BALLO Italian Restaurant will be offering a 3-course dinner special for $29.95 per person. The meal starts with a choice of antipasti options which includes either a Classic Caesar Salad with arugula, shaved parmigiano, pine nuts and lemon or a Mixed Green Salad with mozzarella, sweet peppers and white balsamic vinaigrette. Secondi options include four choices of Rigatoni with spicy sausage ragu and pecorino fonduta, Chicken Parmigiana with house pomodoro, mozzarella and basil, Salmon with charred broccolini, toasted almond and blood orange vinaigrette or a 14 oz. NY Strip a la Pizzaiola ($10 supplement). For dessert BALLO will serve a Kahlua and Dark Chocolate Espresso Cannoli.
Hash House A Go Go
Hash House A Go Go will celebrate Restaurant Week with both lunch and dinner specials throughout the week. The lunch for two special will be $25 for two from Noon until 4:00pm and include two House Salads with cucumber ranch dressing, a choice of two entrées including stuffed burgers, The Kokomo or the Pub Crawl Sandwich with French fries and a shared dessert of delicious House made Pumpkin Bread Pudding. The dinner for two special will be $35 for two and run from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. The dinner special includes a shared appetizer of Filet of Beef Tenderloin and Polenta, the choice of two entrees including the Meatloaf, Lemon Chicken or Grilled Pork Tenderloin dinner and a shared dessert of delicious House made Pumpkin Bread Pudding. Both specials include a soft drink, coffee or tea.

Jasper White’s Summer Shack will be offering a 4-course tasting menu for $30 per person as well as a wine pairing with three courses for an additional $15 per person.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House
Michael Jordan’s Steak House is offering a three-course meal for $45 per person (plus tax and gratuity). First course includes a choice between a Caesar Salad with romaine hearts, croutons and shaved parmesan or Roasted Heirloom Tomato Soup with pecorino cheese, heirloom baby tomato and micro basil. For the second course, guests can select from a Northeast Family Farm Ribeye (10 oz.) with gourmet mushrooms and red wine demi glaze or Nueski Bacon Crusted Swordfish (5 oz.) with sautéed spinach, lemon zest and lobster broth. Third course offers a choice between Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Cranberry Biscotti or an assortment of Sorbets (your selection of three).

Thanksgiving Dinner Is Served At Mohegan Sun

Guests can enjoy a variety of dining and retail specials on November 28th
To celebrate a day of food, family and friends, Mohegan Sun will be offering a number of dining and retail specials this Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28th.
At Todd English’s Tuscany, guests can feast on a three-course dinner for $34.00 per person. Start the meal off with a salad of roasted beets, whipped goat cheese, spiced nuts, mixed greens and brown butter balsamic vinaigrette, followed by a main course of sage brined heritage turkey, sausage potato stuffing, roasted root vegetables, bacon dijon Brussels petals, grappa cranberry sauce and giblet gravy. For dessert, enjoy warm apple crisp with cranberry ice cream and Grand Marnier whipped cream.
A special Thanksgiving Day menu will also be offered at Ballo Italian Restaurant for $42.00 per person. This includes a round of classic Caesar salad or arugula, parmigiano, pine nuts & lemon or butternut squash soup. For the second course, enjoy roasted turkey, apple sage stuffing, family-style gravy, cranberry sauce, whipped sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts with pancetta. To top it off, indulge in cheesecake with apple & cranberry or a cannoli.
Seasons Buffet will be featuring such Thanksgiving classics as rotisserie turkey, wild mushroom & sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pie, as well as some non-traditional dishes including harvest ravioli, bourbon-molasses mashed sweet potatoes, apple cider sorbet and much more.

Annual Sun BrewFest Returns This October To Mohegan Sun

Beers of all varieties, live music, great food, BrewBrunch and more 
WHAT:  Sun BrewFest returns to Mohegan Sun this October for a celebration of one of the oldest, most finely crafted beverages of them all: Beer. Sun BrewFest offers evening tasting sessions on Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th in the Uncas Ballroom. New this year will be a Sunday morning BrewBrunch on October 6th in the Sunburst Buffet.

Tasting Session 2: Saturday, October 5th from 7:00pm – 11:00pm in the Uncas Ballroom

IN DETAIL:  The second annual Sun BrewFest kicks off with two separate tasting sessions featuring more than 100 varieties of Craft and Microbrews to Imports & Domestics and limited editions. Some of the beers on tap will include Goose Island, Newcastle, Dogfish Head, Long Trail, Tenth & Blake’s Batch 19 and more. Samples will be available for all guests during each tasting session, where they will receive a souvenir mini-pilsner glass to be used as their tasting glass for 2 ounce pours from the various breweries. Food tickets will also be sold for $1.00 each, allowing guests to purchase food items from a variety of their favorite Mohegan Sun restaurants.
Live entertainment will energize each session with bands beginning at 7:00pm each night. Between sets, home brew demonstrations will take place on the stage. Free interactive games such as foosball, ping-pong, and air hockey will also be available for guests to play throughout each session.
New to this year is a BrewBrunch on Sunday morning sponsored by Goose Island. There, guests can enjoy an all-inclusive food and beverage experience featuring an open bar of Goose Island and Shock Top varieties as well as sparkling wines and creative Bloody Mary recipes from Absolut. Brunch food items will be available for all to enjoy including Drunken Beef Goulash, Beer & Cheese Risotto, Raspberry Wheat French Toast and more. Among the dessert offerings will be seasonal Shock Top ice creams created by the Mohegan Sun Pastry department and made with Shock Top’s Honey Apple and Pumpkin Wheat beer varieties.
Tickets are $25.00 for each tasting, $75.00 for the BrewBrunch and are on sale beginning today at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and Ticketmaster. A portion of all tickets sales from each session and the BrewBrunch will go towards a to-be-determined charity. Tickets will be required for entry to all events. Bracelets will be required for re-entry and all guests in attendance must be 21+.

Sun WineFest 2014 Tickets Go On Sale Today

Mohegan Sun celebrates its 11th annual Sun WineFest on January 24 – 26, 2014

UNCASVILLE, CT  – Mohegan Sun is excited to celebrate its 11th annual Sun WineFest on January 24, 25 & 26, 2014.  Throughout the weekend, featured events will include the Sun WineFest Grand Tasting, Bourbon Tasting, Elite Cru Tasting and Celebrity Chef Dine Around.  Tickets go on sale today, Friday, August 16th, for all events through Ticketmaster, the Mohegan Sun Box Office and sunwinefest.com.
Sun WineFest Grand Tasting
The main event of the weekend, the Sun WineFest Grand Tasting, will take place in the Convention Center on Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th from Noon to 5:00pm each day.
Over the course of the two days, the Grand Tasting will have something for everyone to enjoy no matter what their tastes may be.  Wine and beer aficionados can choose from over 1,000 brands or enjoy tastings of specialty sponsor spirits.  If your preference is food, signature dishes from the region’s most highly rated restaurants will be available for sampling*.
Saturday and Sunday’s Grand Tasting will also feature celebrity chef demonstrations and fun-filled contests on the Main Culinary Stage.
Tickets are $80.00 for Saturday’s one-day pass, $70.00 for Sunday’s one-day pass and $125.00 for a weekend pass to both Saturday and Sunday’s Grand Tasting.
*There will be a nominal charge for the sampling of signature dishes – a portion of the proceeds benefits Channel 3 Kids Camp.
Bourbon Tasting
Nothing kicks off Sun WineFest 2014 better than “America’s Native Spirit”- bourbon.  Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Plan B Burger Bar and Adonis Cigars join forces to bring you an evening of bourbon history.  On Friday, January 24th at Sunburst Buffet from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, experience Plan B’s bourbon inspired menu paired with a variety of fine bourbons.  You can enjoy them straight or let Plan B’s mixologists create a crafted bourbon cocktail.  Then, finish the night off with a premium cigar sampling from Adonis Cigars.
Tickets are $90.00 per person.
Elite Cru Tasting
The Elite Cru Tasting presented by Wine Enthusiast Magazine is an exceptional wine-tasting event featuring the “best-of-the-best” vintages from around the world.   Meet the winemakers and learn the principles behind them in The Cabaret Theatre on Saturday, January 25th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.  This truly distinctive event features a raw bar hosted by Georges Bank presenting their South Bay Blonde Oysters, shrimp from Mazzetta Company and specialty cheeses from igourmet.com.
Guests will also receive a $50.00 gift certificate to enjoy extensive offerings from igourmet.com.

Celebrity Chef Dine Around
On Saturday, January 25th, enjoy the Celebrity Chef Dine Around as world-class chefs including Todd English, Robert Irvine and Jasper White host a night of amazing cuisine.  Walk around the Uncas Ballroom from 8:00pm to 11:00pm and watch these culinary masters at live cooking stations.  Also, enjoy a pairing of premium wine or beer to complement each dish.
