Planning a day for Mom on her special day isn’t always easy, but Mohegan Sun tries to simplify the process with various dining specials, great entertainment including the legendary Beach Boys in Mohegan Sun Arena, spa services and plenty more all for mom!

DINING & RETAIL OFFERINGS
Todd English’s Tuscany will host a very special Mother’s Day Brunch from 10:00am – 2:00pm featuring some great options at the Raw Bar with Littleneck Clams, Oysters & Shrimp, an Omelet & Eggs to order station, a Pasta Station with Short Rib Ravioli, Seafood Fettuccini Fra Diavolo and Torchio with Prosciutto, Artichoke, Peas & Alfredo and more.
Carved items will include Rack of Lamb, Prime Rib and Brown Sugar-Glazed Ham.  Some hot offerings will include Classic Eggs Benedict, Stuffed French Toast with Vanilla Sauce, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Lobster Cream & Fried Leeks and Sage Brined Chicken, Goat Cheese Spiked Potato with Garlicky Spinach, Hunter Sauce and Breakfast Sausage.  A dessert station will also be available with a great selection of gourmet Pastries & Desserts.
This special Mother’s Day Brunch is available for $38.00 per person which includes a complimentary glass of champagne or Mimosa.
For dinner, Tuscany will also have a special four course meal available.  It begins with Caprese Salad assembled with Heirloom Tomatoes, Burrata Italian Cheese, Crispy Prosciutto, Pesto, Olive Oil and Sea Salt, followed by Lobster Ravioli with Old Bay Brown Butter and Parmesan Foam.  Next up is the main course, a Pastrami-Rubbed Duck with Pea and Mint Risotto and Duck Jus, topped off with a serving of Grasshopper Pie and Red Velvet Ice Cream for dessert.  Guests can get this all for $55.00 per person ($90.00 with wine pairings).  Dinner hours at Tuscany on Mother’s Day will be from 4:00pm – 10:00pm.

Over at Birches Bar & Grill, guests can enjoy a three-course special beginning with Soup Du Jour or Garden Salad with Sweet Herb Vinaigrette or a traditional Caesar Salad.   Stuffed Salmon with Crabmeat & Lobster Meat finished with a Chardonnay Dill Cream Sauce served with Asparagus Spears and Rice Pilaf.  An Orange Chiffon Bombe with a Grand Marnier Cheesecake center served with an Orange-Vanilla Sauce and Edible Flower completes the meal which is available for $32.00 per person and will be served from 11:00am – 10:00pm.

Big Bubba’s BBQ will be serving a Prime Rib dinner including a Twice Baked Potato, plus one side dish, all for $24.95 per person.

Largest BBQ Fest In Connecticut To Be Hosted By Mohegan Sun This June

Three day festival featuring live bands, national BBQ experts, cooking demos, rib contests and more at Mohegan Sun June 1st-3rd
UNCASVILLE, CT  – Warm up with a weekend of tasty BBQ, live music and fun with Mohegan Sun’s first annual BBQ Fest June 1st – 3rd in the Winter Parking Lot. Host Mike Petit of NESN’s Grillseekers emcees the three day event filled with cooking demonstrations, live bands and BB “QnA” sessions with Pitmaster Troy Black. Or watch Competitive Eating Champion Joey “Jaws” Chestnut battle in a rib eating contest on Saturday, June 2nd at 4:00pm. Back in July of 2011, Chestnut won his fifth consecutive hot dog championship eating 62 hot dogs and buns, just under his world-record earned in 2007 for consuming 66 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes.

Ever wonder how the pros make it look so easy? Here is your chance to learn. Throughout the weekend, a number of events will be taking place where guests can learn the tricks of the trade right from the professionals. From various cooking demonstrations to special BB’QnA’ with Pitmaster Troy Black, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn their hidden secrets.
With a knack for invention and love of barbecue, Black has gained an impressive reputation as an award-winning, competitive barbecue chef and brand ambassador. His zeal for both barbecue and the industry has taken him on an incredible journey from the Southern Living magazine editorial staff to full-time competitive barbecue chef. In the spring of 2010, Black’s first book, The Big Book of BBQ, hit the national scene.

Mohegan Sun Announces Special Easter Menu

Mohegan Sun restaurants to offer gourmet dishes and desserts for Easter and Passover
Mohegan Sun will feature special menu additions throughout the property for Easter & Passover.  The following offerings will be available:
Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe is geared up for Easter Sunday with an entrée of Braised Lamb Shank served with White Polenta, Roasted Heirloom Tomatoes and Rosemary Au Jus.  This meal will be $24.00 per person.
Michael Jordan’s Steak House will serve Grilled Veal Loin with Roasted Honey Fingerling Potatoes and Gooseberry Gastrique.  This dish will be offered at $42.00 per person.

And over at SolToro Tequila Grill, a delicious dish of Pan Roasted Jumbo Scallops will be featured.  It will include Flautas Stuffed with Tamarind Mushrooms and Caramelized Shallots as well as Tomato, Chipotle and Mulato Chile Salsa and Crispy Prosciutto. This dish will be served for $29.00 per person.

Ballo Italian Restaurant & Social Club will be serving a special 4-course Easter dinner that will start with a Caesar Salad followed by a choice of Orecchiette, Shrimp & Roasted Fennel or Rigatoni, Sausage, Ragu Pecorino Fonduta.  Then diners will enjoy Grilled Lamb porterhouse with Asparagus and Fregola. Valentine’s Day Weekend is packing a one-two punch on Friday, February 10th when Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing returns to Mohegan Sun Arena with a hard hitting double-header of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.  On the softer side of entertainment, the arena will present Concierto Del Amor featuring Olga Tanon, Hector Acosta “El Torito” and Charlie Zaa on Saturday, February 11th.
 On Saturday, February 11th, couples can laugh the night away at Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theatre for Treehouse Comedy Productions.
