Mohegan Sun also Finishes in the Top 5 for “Best Casino outside of Las Vegas” and “Best Player’s Club”
Mohegan Sun has once
again finished #1 in the “Best Casino Hotel” category as part of USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the fifth year in a row that Mohegan Sun has won this award. Mohegan Sun also notched top five rankings for “Best Casino Outside” of Las Vegas and “Best Player’s Club.” Voting for the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards took place this summer after nominees were chosen by a panel of relevant experts, which include a combination of editors from USA TODAY, 10Best.com and other relevant contributors.

Mohegan has been recognized on the Forbes list of Best-in-State Employers 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on August 24th, 2022 and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website. This recognition further solidifies Mohegan’s position as a leader in the hospitality, gaming and entertainment industries and aligns well with the company’s vision – to transcend gaming while transforming entertainment into a more immersive, exhilarating experience for all.
America’s Best-in-State Employers 2022 were identified in an independent survey based on a vast sample of approximately 70,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the USA. Across 25 industry sectors, 1,380 employer brands were ranked among the top employers. Brands were able to win in more than one state.
The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. The 1975 will return to Mohegan Sun Arena to kick off their highly anticipated return to the stage. The 1975’s At Their Very Best tour begins at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 3rd at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Tickets are $89.50, $69.50, and $49.50 and go on sale Friday, August 12th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, August 13th at 10:00am, subject to availability.
The 1975 today released “Happiness” – the second track from their highly anticipated forthcoming new album Being Funny In A Foreign Language.
“Happiness” follows the remarkable comeback single “Part Of The Band,” which Pitchfork lauded as “the kind of grand, playful Pop song that only this band could pull off,” and found NME praising the “fearlessness that sees The 1975 unafraid to rip up their own rule book.”
Both tracks will be featured on Being Funny In A Foreign Language, the band’s fifth studio album, which is scheduled for release on Friday, October 14th via Dirty Hit and available to preorder now at the1975.com.
In support of Being Funny In A Foreign Language, the band have also announced details of their forthcoming North American tour: The 1975 At Their Very Best. The newly announced tour dates will see the band play across North America throughout November and December.
Formed in Manchester in 2002, The 1975 have established themselves as one of the defining bands of their generation with their distinctive aesthetic, ardent fanbase and unique sonic approach.
The band’s previous album 2020’s Notes On A Conditional Form became their fourth consecutive No. 1 album in the UK, landing at No. 1 in Australia, too. The band was named NME’s “Band of the Decade” in 2020 after being crowned “Best Group” at the BRIT Awards in both 2017 and 2019. The 1975 will make their live comeback as the headliners of Japan’s biggest Rock festival Summer Sonic 2022, taking place in Tokyo and Osaka in August.
