Two-day festival kicks off on Friday, October 25th
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 14, 2024) – Fall is right around the corner and so is the return of Sun BrewFest Weekend at Mohegan Sun! The action gets started on Friday, October 25th with the 3rd Annual Seltzer Social taking place on the revamped Sun Patio. On Saturday, October 26th, the 11th Annual Sun BrewFest is set to take place in the Earth Expo & Convention Center and promises to deliver good times and great beer!

Guests are invited to sip, savor and celebrate at the highly anticipated Sun BrewFest! From beer enthusiasts to those just looking for a fun afternoon out, this festival promises to deliver for everyone. Guests can sample a diverse selection of beers from the best local and regional breweries, eat tasty food from local restaurants and enjoy incredible live music performed by American Honey. Samples are included in ticket pricing. Plus, guests can compete in a Wicked Cornhole Tournament and a Stein Hoisting Competition that will be sure to keep everyone entertained!
Wicked Cornhole Tournament
Guests are invited to bring their best competition and toss some bags at the Sun BrewFest Cornhole Tournament hosted by Wicked Cornhole. The winning team will receive a $500 cash prize, a free hotel stay for future use and two tickets to a show at Mohegan Sun Arena (subject to availability)! Second place will receive a $300 cash prize and third place will receive a $200 cash prize. Advanced registration for the Wicked Cornhole tournament is required to participate. For tournament registration, guests must purchase a special ticket via Eventbrite that also includes access to the VIP hour (2:00pm – 3:00pm) at Sun BrewFest. Tournament guests can check in at a designated will call window on the day of event.
Tickets to Seltzer Social and Sun BrewFest are available during a special pre-sale from Thursday, August 15th at 10:00am – Wednesday, August 21st at 11:59pm. The general on sale begins Thursday, August 22nd at 10:00am. Those who are interested in everything Sun BrewFest Weekend has to offer have the option to purchase a Seltzer Social and Sun BrewFest combo ticket during both the special pre-sale and general on sale. Additionally, designated driver tickets will be available for those who are skipping the beer, but still want to enjoy the entertainment, activities, and great food at Sun BrewFest. The band will play a 7:30pm show at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 5th. The 2024 Tourfollows The Doobie Brothers 50th Anniversary Tour which has had TOM JOHNSTON, MICHAEL MCDONALD, PAT SIMMONS and JOHN MCFEE back on the road together for the first time in over 25 years.

Chicago is the last band playing in the U.S. as COVID lockdowns begin and “The Last Band on Stage” tells the incredible story of how the 57-year-old band survived a pandemic that stopped the world in its tracks.

Chicago received The Recording Academy’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the GRAMMYS. The “Lifetime Achievement Award” celebrates performers who have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording. A special award ceremony and tribute concert celebrating the honorees was held in 2020.
Chicago was inducted into the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was their first nomination. They’ve been eligible since 1994. A long time coming!

Emmy Award winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. As a four-time Emmy Award winner and thirteen-time nominee, Hough is the most nominated choreographer in Television Academy history. He made his feature film debut for director Duane Adler and producer Robert Cort in the feature film Make Your Move and had a recurring role on the ABC series Nashville. His stage performances include Radio City Music Hall’s Spring Spectacular co-starring alongside the Tony Award winning Laura Benanti and the critically acclaimed production of Footloose in which he starred as the male lead in London’s West End.
