Pitting NFL & NBA stars against each other, first-of-its-kind charity golf tournament will take place June 27-28 and is open to the public with tickets on sale now
UNCASVILLE, CT (May xx, 2018) – Turner Sports and CAA Sports have partnered to create a two-day charity golf tournament, hosted by NBA superstar Chris Paul and NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers, and set to take place at Mohegan Sun Golf Club starting Wednesday, June 27th. “The State Farm Showdown” is open to the public and will feature NBA stars past and present facing off against NFL greats, all to benefit the players’ charities of choice. The action starts at 10:00am ET on June 27th, and 11:00am on June 28th.
Turner Sports will provide multimedia coverage of the charity golf tournament, with Bleacher Report offering access to the NFL and NBA icons participating in the event through a variety of content offerings and top moments shared across its social platforms. Additionally, TNT will televise a one-hour, all-access show on Friday, August 10th, at 8:00pm ET.

Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which was recently named one of the “best courses in New England” by Golfweek, is thrilled to host the star-studded affair at the beautiful Baltic, CT championship golf course. The first-of-its-kind charity golf tournament will feature a two-day competition, hosted by Paul and Rodgers and will follow a common international team format, with a group of current and past NFL greats going up against NBA all-stars and legends.

*There is no on-site public parking at Mohegan Sun Golf Club for this golf tournament. Guests that purchase tickets will be able to take a free shuttle from Mohegan Sun’s group hotel area at Sky Tower. The shuttle will leave from Mohegan Sun starting at 8:30am on June 27th and 9:30amon June 28th, and returning to Mohegan Sun from the golf course starting at 5:00pm. Per each paying adult, their ticket gives access to up to two people under 17 to join them on the shuttle and experience the golf tournament.

The 6th Annual Sun BBQ Fest Returns on June 2nd & 3rd, Rain or Shine
UNCASVILLE, CT (April 6, 2018) – It’s time to get messy at Sun BBQ Fest presented by King’s Hawaiian, Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd at Mohegan Sun. Festival goers will be able to sink their teeth into barbecue-smothered favorites, full plate meals, ribs, wings and more! Live music and cooking challenges will also take place throughout the weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
Admission is $5.00 per day and now on sale through the Mohegan Sun Box Office or available at the festival door. Kids 6 and under get in free. The weekend of the event, $1.00 tickets for food and beverage will be available inside the festival.
Grills Heated Up – Wings, Ribs & More
The Winter Parking Lot will be smokin’ with the best BBQ for guests to sink their teeth into. Experience the BBQ action and decide who reigns supreme during the People’s Choice Contest all weekend long. $2.00 samples will be available from 20 participating Kansas City BBQ Society teams, and guests can cast their vote for the ultimate best at Sun BBQ Fest. On Saturday, the competition continues with a rib contest from Noon to 2:30pm, followed by a wing challenge from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. For $5.00, each contest offers a sampling of 5 wings or 5 ribs for fans to indulge and then judge. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Sun BBQ Fest official charity, Operation BBQ Relief.
BBQ Fest goers can taste their way through an endless supply of delicious meats and other flavorful options, all from some of the best restaurants and food vendors that can be found in the region. Wash it all down with a refreshing selection of beers that include Bud, Bud Light and Samuel Adams. Tito’s cocktails will also be offered for $7.00 – the perfect pairings for BBQ on a hot summer day!

Hot Seat Thursdays
Hot Seat Thursdays run June 29th through August 31st with a chance to win your share of $10,000! Play your favorite slots, tables and stadium games for your chance to win. From 10:00am to 7:00pm one winner each hour will win $1,000 cash. End the day catching the summer sunset at Bean and Vine Terrace with drink and food specials from 5:00pm to 9:00pm while enjoying live entertainment.
Free and Fun Fridays
Each Friday morning throughout Hot Summer Fun, Mohegan Sun will also be giving away free t-shirts for the first 2,000 Momentum members. Beginning June 30th, shirts will be distributed at the Summer Coat Check starting at 9:00am. A different color shirt will be given each week. Collect all 10 during Hot Summer Fun!
Then start the weekend early with Party on the Rooftop. This 21 and over event allows guests to enjoy live tribute bands, bars, games and food trucks on top of the Riverview Parking Garage every Friday from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. Grab a $3.00 Bud Light or a specialty cocktail and stop by the Gaming Tent complete with slots, blackjack tables and roulette! Worth-the-Wait Weekends
Weekends heat up at Mohegan Sun during Hot Summer Fun. The Wolf Den, which is open Thursday through Monday, free and for guests 21 and over, will see such acts as Brandy Clark, Danielle Bradbery, RaeLynn and The Revolution among others. Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which was recently named one of the “best courses in New England” by Golfweek, is thrilled to host the star-studded affair at the beautiful Baltic, CT championship golf course. The first-of-its-kind charity golf tournament will feature a two-day competition, hosted by Paul and Rodgers and will follow a common international team format, with a group of current and past NFL greats going up against NBA all-stars and legends.
