Environmental Leaders and Future Tesla Owners joined Mohegan Sun and Tesla to Celebrate the opening of Tesla’s Electric Vehicle Sales & Delivery Center at Mohegan Sun and the Expansion of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure to come
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 20th, 2023) – Mohegan Sun and Tesla today celebrated the Grand Opening of the all-new Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) Showroom that comes equipped with a full Sales & Delivery Center. Attendees
celebrated the opening, the new partnership and the environmental benefits that increased zero emission vehicles can bring to the region.
The new sales and delivery center is the first-of-its-kind in Connecticut. The Mohegan Tribe is a sovereign nation with its own laws, ordinances and governing services which allows for this addition of zero emission vehicle sales to join the Shops at Mohegan Sun. Other jurisdictions which allow manufacturers to sell zero-emission vehicles directly to consumers have seen an increase in electric vehicle adoption which comes with cleaner air and better health outcomes for residents. The partnership will also lead to the expansion of charging infrastructure at Mohegan Sun.
The special occasion on Wednesday, December 20th also showcased some of the very first Tesla buyers taking delivery on their new Tesla at Mohegan Sun.

“Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun, with a full sales, service and delivery operation, is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivaled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination,”-said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun. “This new partnership allows for a significant upgrade to our existing charging spaces as well, creating an enhanced amenity and more convenience for our guests and travelers throughout the region.”
The Tesla EV Showroom in the Shops at Mohegan Sun is open daily from 10:0am – 7:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and it is open from 10:00am – 10:00pm on 
Friday and Saturday. Visitors can now experience all of Tesla’s products, including taking demo drives of the Model 3, Y, S or X. Guests can also call 860-383-1101 to learn more.

Mohegan Sun’s collaboration with Tesla will also result in a substantial deployment of Electric Vehicle chargers throughout Mohegan Sun’s parking infrastructure. A project commencing soon will install 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors to be split across the Riverview garage, Summer garage and Winter garage, which are all connected to the resort. These chargers will work with all electric vehicles so that everyone that may need it will have access to charging. Completion of this project is planned for Spring 2024 and should demand warrant it, Mohegan Sun and Tesla will increase the total past 100. The project currently projects to bring Mohegan Sun’s total to 75 chargers, making Mohegan Sun home to the biggest deployment of Tesla Universal Wall Connectors in Connecticut, and one of the leaders nationwide.
The grand opening celebration Wednesday morning also included comments from Lori Brown, who is the Executive Director for the CT League of Conservation Voters. Brown spoke to how this opening is a win for consumers, a win for the state and a win for the environment and the broader impacts that efforts geared towards sustainability can have.
Mohegan Sun and its parent company, Mohegan, is committed to the economic growth, tourism and community support in and around the regions it operates, and sustainability initiatives is a major part of that continued goal. Tesla will also collaborate with Mohegan to integrate local talent into its workforce development programs, which can provide Mohegan Tribal members and Mohegan team members with opportunities to learn diverse skills and technician training, potentially paving the way for exciting career opportunities with Tesla. Some members of the Mohegan Tribe are already a part of the Tesla team at Mohegan Sun.
The Shops at Mohegan Sun is a 130,000-square-foot two-story dining and shopping pavilion that connects Casino of the Sky to Casino of the Earth. Its breathtaking setting was designed by Rockwell Group and is home to exciting nightlife, award-winning dining and retail locations like COACH, Tommy Bahama, Robert Graham, LIDS, Athleta and Tesla.
The showroom is located across from the popular restaurant, Todd English’s Tuscany, with deliveries taking place nearby at Sky Valet. Test drives for popular Tesla models will also be possible around the resort. Momentum Dollars through Mohegan Sun’s loyalty rewards program (Momentum) will also be accepted for Tesla purchases in the coming weeks. Some Momentum tiers will also have upgraded EV charging perks upon completion of the charging station project.

Hannah Berner was born in Brooklyn, New York and emerged on the comedy scene by writing, directing, editing, and acting in videos on social media and writing viral tweets. She has two podcasts, Berner Phone and Giggly Squad with over 50 million combined downloads. She was a co-host on Bravo’s Chat Room, as well as a member of Bravo’s Summer House for three seasons, and has over 4 million followers across her social media platforms.
Through her viral digital series, Han on the Street, she has interviewed stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Hailey Bieber, Priyanka Chopra, Kesha, and the Jonas Brothers. She currently is on a theater tour across America for her stand-up comedy. In 2022, she was named one of Just For Laughs “New Faces Of Comedy” in Montreal. She was recently named one of Variety’s “Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2023”.
Michael Blaustein
Michael Blaustein is an internationally touring headlining comedian, accomplished actor, and award-winning writer. Michael co-hosts a very popular podcast called Stiff Socks with comedian Trevor Wallace. Stiff Socks is ranked in the top 50 of all comedy podcasts on iTunes and Spotify. He has performed at over 200 colleges worldwide and has been on the Comedy Central on Campus Tour, The College Humor Tour, and The Oddball Comedy Fest. Michael has performed at prestigious festivals such as JFL 42 and The New York Comedy Festival.
Michael can be seen on Amazon Prime’s original series Inside Jokes. Michael can also be seen on the last season of CBS’s Person of Interest. He has hosted two pilots for MTV and was a cast member of the last season of MTV’s Punk’d. Michael created and developed a Snapchat show for Comedy Central and was also a comedy pilot finalist in The Austin Film Festival. Michael Co-wrote, Co-directed, and Co-starred in the feature film Up There.
Jessica Kirson
Jessica Kirson is a powerhouse on stage. She’s a hilariously relatable performer of sheer silliness, vulnerability, and ridiculous characters. Her countless comedic character videos have racked up over 200 million views on social media. Her audience is multigenerational, creating an excuse for large groups of friends and families to spend a night out together. In an era where only 10% of all touring comedians are female, Jessica stands out as one of the strongest comedians regardless of gender.
Jessica produced FX’s Hysterical, a feature-length documentary that premiered at SXSW 2021. The film explores the changing landscape of women in stand-up comedy and features Margaret Cho, Nikki Glazer, Chelsea Handler, Fortune Feimster, and other notable comedians.

Mohegan Sun Arena is ending the year on a high note! Starting Thursday, December 28th, Cirque Dreams Celebration is set to bring three nights of festive entertainment to Mohegan Sun Arena. Cirque Dreams Celebration features an ensemble of aerial circus acts, sleight-of-hand jugglers, fun-loving skippers, breath-catching acrobatics, and much more. This world-renowned cast of performers will be accompanied by an original music score, including new twists on seasonal favorites such as “Deck the Halls,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Singers, dancers, penguins, toy soldiers, and reindeer invoke the dreams behind a child’s eye on the most magical of nights. Amidst a backdrop of new sets, scenery, and storylines, this family-friendly production is sure to put a twinkle in your eye! All three shows begin at 7:00pm. Over at the Wolf Den, guests can experience three nights of free, live entertainment. On Friday, December 29th, Raise Your Hands: Bon Jovi Tribute, the premier tribute to the music & spirit of Bon Jovi, will kick off at 8:00pm and features both hits and deep catalog tracks. Karina Rykman brings her “Joyride Tour 2023” to the Wolf Den on Saturday, December 30th at 8:00pm, featuring her original take on Psychedelic Indie Rock. On Sunday, December 31st, widely popular ‘80s tribute band, RUBIX KUBE, wraps up 2023 with two shows at 8:00pm and 11:00pm! Comix Roadhouse will play host to five rounds of live entertainment, all on Sunday, December 31st! New Year’s Eve Special Events
On Sunday, December 31st, guests can let a magical adventure sweep them away with an enchanting sit-down dinner at the New Year’s Eve Dinner Gala in the Uncas Ballroom. A cocktail reception will take place from 6:00pm – 7:00pm with dinner immediately following from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Music will be provided by Middle Eastern Music Ensemble. 80’s Rock Invasion Lineup:
Stephen Pearcy of RATT
As the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the Metal Rock band RATT, Stephen Pearcy is credited with being a pioneer of the early 80’s Sunset Strip Rock scene. He led his creation to mega multi-platinum success year after year from 1984 to 1991, capturing critical acclaim for his performances, style and uniquely salacious vocals. Pearcy formed RATT in Los Angeles in 1982 from his previous band Mickey RATT. Known for their overtly sexual appearance, rebellious attitude and take no prisoner approach to Metal, Atlantic Records recognized RATT’s potential and star power, thus signing the band to a contract resulting in the 1984 album Out of the Cellar, which became one of many multi-platinum successes. RATT climbed up the charts with singles from Out of the Cellar, soaring past Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”, Van Halen’s “Panama”, Madonna’s “Borderline” and David Bowie’s “Blue Jean”.
QUIET RIOT
QUIET RIOT is a Rock & Roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first Heavy Metal band to top the Pop chart at #1 on Billboard Magazine, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album Metal Health.
Vixen
Vixen is the only all-female band of the 80’s to sell over a million albums, have six #1 videos on MTV, and have four songs in Billboard’s Top 100. EMI Records released their self-named debut album Vixen featuring the groups’ first hit “Edge of a Broken Heart”, penned by Richard Marx and Fee Waybill (The Tubes). MTV became Vixen’s playground and so coupled with exhaustive touring Vixen embarked on their ride.
Riley’s LA Guns
L.A. Guns got their start on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip. The band was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled L.A. Guns, went on to sell over 1,000,000 copies giving the band its first platinum award. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band earned the band a gold video award from the RIAA. L.A. Guns went into the studio to record their second album, Cocked and Loaded, in the spring of 1989. It was a hit right away with the release of “Rip and Tear” as the first single and video. “Never Enough” and “The Ballad of Jayne” followed, pushing the album toward platinum status once again. With more than 30 years’ worth of noteworthy material, the band have proved to be true warriors of the 80’s genre.

The Wolf Den is also in a merry mood with free holiday shows throughout December. Guests can check out the Ho! Ho! Hoey Rockin’ Holiday Show on Friday, December 1st at 8:00pm, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Wild & Swingin’ Holiday Party on Saturday, December 9th at 8:00pm, Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters’ Christmas on Friday, December 22nd at 8:00pm and The Cartells on Sunday, December 24th at 8:00pm. On Saturday, December 2nd, The Crafty Stir Café, located just off the Sky Hotel Lobby, has indulgent turtle cupcakes for $6.50 each. Todd English’s Tuscany is serving up a three-course, prix fixe menu for $50 per person on Monday, December 4th. TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge is offering “Five Golden Rings” for $35 on Tuesday, December 5th. On Wednesday, December 6th, Grey Goose martinis can be found at the Taughannick Falls Bar for $13 each. Guests can “swim” over to Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook to enjoy Two Roads Holiday Ale and Samuel Adams Winter Lager on Thursday, December 7th. Pints are available for $9 and a 21 oz. pour is $10.25. Over at Bobby’s Burger Palace, guests can try the delicious new breakfast menu for 15% off, paired with a Dulce de Leche shake for $8 until Noon on Friday, December 8th. Clay Pipe Cigar Bar is piping in on Monday, December 11th with a single barrel neat pour and cigar special for $11. Baileys Treat Cart | Those looking to kick the holiday season up a notch can keep an eye out for the Baileys Treat Cart! Guests can satisfy their sugary cravings with decadent cocktails and samples from Baileys. The cart’s first stop is at the Sun Patio Bar during the First Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting, and special pop-ups will take place across property during Countdown to Cheer. Holiday POP! at Aquai | This pop-up bar located at Aquai in the Sky Tower hotel lobby will add sparkle to the holiday with delicious and unique cocktails! Guests can also enjoy a glass of the forever iconic Moët & Chandon, plus other holiday-inspired spirits. Holiday POP! at Aquai is open every Friday & Saturday during Countdown to Cheer from 4:00pm – 11:00pm.
Mix & Mingle: The Ultimate Big Little Holiday Party | Be it big or be it little; guests can bring their groups to an elite holiday party at novelle! On Friday, December 8th and Friday, December 15th at 5:00pm, novelle will host the gathering so guests can make merry memories without the hassle of planning. Sip on jolly spirits and groove to a live acoustic performer and DJ, all while dancing and delighting in holiday cheer! Delicious food options will be served. Holiday Gift Card Sale | Guests can snag some gifts for the loved ones by taking advantage of the Holiday Gift Card Sale! For every $100 spent on a Mohegan Sun digital gift card (limit $500), guests will receive a free $20 bonus digital gift card. The Holiday Gift Card Sale begins on Saturday, December 9th at 6:00am and ends on Monday, December 25th at Midnight.
