Public event to honor NKOTB in recognition of multiple big-time performances at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, June 12th
What: Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Arena Walk of Fame 
inductee will be New Kids On The Block, a band that has played and packed Mohegan Sun Arena as many times as any act, where after their upcoming concert, will have played 9 performances in the last 8 years alone. That concert, set for June 12th, brings the Pop legends back with the The Main Event tour with special guests Nelly & TLC. And a few hours prior to the concert, Mohegan Sun Arena is long overdue and very excited to present one of the most influential bands of our time, their Walk of Fame star outside of the Mohegan Sun Box Office.

IN DETAIL: Some of Mohegan Sun Arena’s most memorable performers including Bon Jovi, KISS, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Frankie Valli, Mötley Crüe and so many more have been honored as Walk of Famers and have stars placed outside of the Box Office. NKOTB’s Main Event tour, scheduled for 7:00pm, will mark another sellout, one of many at Mohegan Sun Arena and will make the band the 30th act inducted into the Walk of Fame. The award seeks to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All of the individuals inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 15th at 10:00am
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 11, 2015) – Theresa Caputo, psychic medium and star of the hit TLC show, Long Island Medium, will be appearing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, July 19th at 3:00pm. Theresa will give interactive readings to audience members throughout the show and will also share personal stories about her life and her unique gifts.
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 15th at 10:00am and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or 1.800.745.3000. Tickets start at $39.75 (plus applicable service charges) and are subject to change. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, May 16th, subject to availability. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a reading.
The highly-rated show Long Island Medium follows Theresa’s life as a typical Long Island wife and mom with one very big difference…she can communicate with the dead. Since she cannot “turn off” this gift, messages from departed loved ones can come through at any time. The local car mechanic, manicurist or cashier at the bagel shop may find themselves receiving a spontaneous reading from Theresa as she goes about her day. Celebration featuring a benefit concert headlined by Trace Adkins, career services and so much more November 11th
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 4, 2015) – Career fairs, workshops, a charity concert and so much more – the possibilities are endless at the inaugural Vets Rock at Mohegan Sun this November. Hosted by Til Duty is Done and Mohegan Sun the day will feature special services and activities for veterans and their families – as well as a benefit concert headlined by Country music superstar, Trace Adkins.
Career Fair, Workshops and Auction
Vets Rock is taking over Mohegan Sun’s Convention Center. All convention rooms and the full 38,000 square-foot Uncas Ballroom will be converted into a conference space featuring a career fair, resume assistance, professional suit fittings and more.
Half of the Convention Center will host the Hiring Our Heroes Workshop with interview prep and resume assistance. Guests will also have the opportunity to be fitted for a professional suit by Suiting Warriors. From 10:30am to 5:00pm, veterans are invited to take part in the career fair featuring at least 100 employers from throughout the state. The career fair will take place in the other half of the Convention Center. A family area will be available where veterans can bring their children while they explore the services available.
On Wednesday, a variety of other services will be available throughout the day in the upper level of the Convention Center for veterans to take advantage of including art therapy, yoga, music therapy, VA claim representatives, veteran legal affairs and much more.
Also on Wednesday, November 11th in The Shops at Mohegan Sun, there will be a special art show and auction headlined by a custom piece designed by John Herz. Additional programming will continually be added so please be sure to check mohegansun.com for the latest programming for the Vets Rock event.
Vets Rock Concert
The celebration goes out with a bang when Trace Adkins headlines a special Vets Rock Concert inside Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm. The concert, emceed by Tony Orlando, will also feature special guests Dropkick Murphys and Madison Rising. Tickets for this event are $49.00 and $29.00 and go on sale May 16th through Ticketmaster and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. A special presale for veterans will begin on May 4th. UNCASVILLE, CT (April 29, 2015) — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and brackets for the 2015 Tip-Off Tournament. The annual NCAA men’s exempt tournament sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will take place Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut highlighted by eight schools in two four-team brackets with campus round games taking place around the Mohegan Sun Arena schedule.
Teams scheduled to participate in this year’s Tip-Off Tournament are:
University at Buffalo (Mid-American), University of Florida (SEC), Niagara University (MAAC), North
Carolina A&T (MEAC), Old Dominion University (CUSA), Purdue University (BIG 10),
Saint Joseph’s University (Atlantic 10) and University of Vermont (Am. East).
“The Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at Mohegan Sun has become one of the most acclaimed collegiate tournaments in the month of November,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “Of the teams who participated in 2014, four of them made it to the NCAA Tournament. We hope this competitive atmosphere will serve as a stepping-stone for the teams contending this year as well. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will continue to serve as the host conference for the annual event. The MAAC has developed a strong partnership with the Basketball Hall of Fame, including the addition of a MAAC exhibit in the Hall of Fame museum in Springfield, Massachusetts.”
A pre-sale of tickets to all participating schools will start on May 6th at 10:00am via all Ticketmaster outlets and the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office. General public tickets will go on sale Friday, September 11th. Game times for Mohegan Sun Arena will be announced at a later date.

Rain or shine, Sun BBQFest takes over the Winter Parking Lot
Uncasville, CT (April 21, 2015) – Get fired up for some finger-lickin’ fun during Sun BBQFest. On June 13th & 14th, savor the flavors of the best barbeque around with festivities featuring live music, a beer trailer, barbeque battles, local vendors, food trucks and so much more you can sink your teeth into!
Tickets for the event are $5.00 per day and go on sale Friday, April 24th through the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids 6 and under get in free.

Get in on all the BBQ action and decide who reigns supreme during the People’s Choice Contest all weekend long. Purchase samples from each vendor and cast your vote for the ultimate best at Sun BBQFest. Competition remains fierce on Saturday with a Wing Contest from Noon to 3:00pm followed by a Rib Challenege from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. For $5.00, each contest offers a sampling of wings or ribs for you to judge! A portion of the proceeds benefits the Sun BBQFest official charity, Operation BBQ Relief.
If relaxed, non-competetive snacking is more your style, peruse the impressive lineup of food trucks and vendors! The Wethersfield Famer’s Market will be on-site offering some of the best fare alongside the endless supply of Kansas City BBQ Society meats and over 30 vendor options to choose from! Wash it all down with a selection of beers including Bud, Bud Light, Yuengling and Sam Adams. Select cocktails will also be offered for $7.00, perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day!
Entertainment Galore
No festival would be complete without some live entertainment. The Winter Parking Lot spices things up with music, demos and a fireworks show to celebrate summertime and all things BBQ.
Be entertained all weekend long with live music on the main stage. Green Tea Band, Whiskey & Rye, Jay Dempsey Band, The Attiks and the Stephanie Hansen Band will be providing the beats for this epic parking lot party. Throughout the weekend, learn the tricks of the BBQ trade during demos and Q&A sessions on the main stage.
Saturday night goes out with a bang! Don’t miss a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks kick off at 9:30pm and are guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.
