Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes the comedian on Saturday, May 24th
Superstar comedian, author and talk show host, Chelsea Handler, is set to embark on a national stand-up comedy tour in support of the release of her fifth book, Uganda Be Kidding Me. The tour heads to Uncasville for a 8:00pm show at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 24th.
Tickets are $65.00 and $45.00 and go on sale Friday, January 17th through Ticketmaster at 10:00am. Perhaps best known as the outspoken host of E!’s late night talk show, Chelsea Lately, Handler continues to offer international audiences her fearless honesty and tongue-in-cheek commentary every weeknight. “I’ve decided to go on tour and support my new book, Uganda Be Kidding Me. I think we all know how much I love the sound of my own voice” said Handler.
Handler’s latest book Uganda Be Kidding Me will release on March 4th. In this hilarious and absurd collection of travel essays, Chelsea delivers some of her favorite stories while also giving travelers her (not to be believed) guide to etiquette, hot spots and answers to some of the most asked travel questions.
In 2010, Chelsea partnered with Live Nation and Belvedere Vodka for the “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” comedy tour, which was extended three times, drawing more than 250,000 fans in 44 markets and grossing more than $16 million. In 2011, she brought along her friends and regulars from Chelsea Lately on her “Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me” comedy tour, which sold out in the top 20 U.S. markets.

IN DETAIL: Back by popular demand, Mohegan Sun’s hot, late-night bingo game returns in February. Taking place inside Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom, Bingo After Dark is an energetic, ultra-hip bingo game set against a neon backdrop.
Doors open at 9:00pm and the games begin at 10:00pm. The entry fee is $20 per person and covers eight rounds of bingo, entertainment and more. Players will have a chance to win cash prizes from a prize pool totaling $15,000. In between rounds, a DJ will be spinning and a cash bar will be available including complimentary soft drinks all night long.

The Restaurants of Mohegan Sun offer a week of discounts and specials
Calling all foodies! Prepare for a week of delicious deals and special menus as the Restaurants at Mohegan Sun celebrate Restaurant Week from January 12th through the 17th. Diners can also enjoy 20% off at Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain, Todd English’s Tuscany, Bobby’s Burger Palace and Seasons Buffet all week long.

BALLO Italian Restaurant
Each night throughout Restaurant Week, BALLO Italian Restaurant will be offering a 3-course dinner special for $29.95 per person. The meal starts with a choice of antipasti options which includes either a Classic Caesar Salad with arugula, shaved parmigiano, pine nuts and lemon or a Mixed Green Salad with mozzarella, sweet peppers and white balsamic vinaigrette. Secondi options include four choices of Rigatoni with spicy sausage ragu and pecorino fonduta, Chicken Parmigiana with house pomodoro, mozzarella and basil, Salmon with charred broccolini, toasted almond and blood orange vinaigrette or a 14 oz. NY Strip a la Pizzaiola ($10 supplement). For dessert BALLO will serve a Kahlua and Dark Chocolate Espresso Cannoli.
Hash House A Go Go
Hash House A Go Go will celebrate Restaurant Week with both lunch and dinner specials throughout the week. The lunch for two special will be $25 for two from Noon until 4:00pm and include two House Salads with cucumber ranch dressing, a choice of two entrées including stuffed burgers, The Kokomo or the Pub Crawl Sandwich with French fries and a shared dessert of delicious House made Pumpkin Bread Pudding. The dinner for two special will be $35 for two and run from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. The dinner special includes a shared appetizer of Filet of Beef Tenderloin and Polenta, the choice of two entrees including the Meatloaf, Lemon Chicken or Grilled Pork Tenderloin dinner and a shared dessert of delicious House made Pumpkin Bread Pudding. For the second course, guests can select from a Northeast Family Farm Ribeye (10 oz.) with gourmet mushrooms and red wine demi glaze or Nueski Bacon Crusted Swordfish (5 oz.) with sautéed spinach, lemon zest and lobster broth. Third course offers a choice between Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Cranberry Biscotti or an assortment of Sorbets (your selection of three).

U.S tour to commence January 29th and heading to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 28th
It’s been a record year for Darius Rucker. Arguably one of the most applauded singles of the year, “Wagon Wheel” has helped the platinum-selling entertainer earn multiple nominations from the CMA and ACA Awards. Fans of his third chart-topping Country album, True Believers, can catch Rucker at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, March 28th for a 7:30pm concert. Eli Young Band with special guest Joel Crouse will be featured on this tour!

Rucker will perform during The 47th Annual CMA Awards, which airs live on November 6th, and on CMA Country Christmas, which will air on December 2nd. Both specials will air on the ABC Television Network.

Celebrate basketball legends with 3 days of events on and off the court
The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) and former NBA greats such as Bill Russell, Rick Barry, Otis Birdsong, Dave Cowens, Darryl Dawkins, Alex English, Spencer Haywood, Robert Horry, Micheal Ray Richardson and many more are set to converge on Mohegan Sun for a weekend of exciting events Friday, April 25th through Sunday, April 27th as part of the Legends of Basketball Fantasy Weekend.
Three days of basketball action begins Thursday, April 24th with the start of the Legends of Basketball Fantasy Camp. From Friday through Sunday, fantasy campers have a chance to rub shoulders with the greatest players of all-time and compete on-the-court by participating in an all-inclusive fantasy camp in Mohegan Sun Arena with basketball legends Barry, Cowens, English, Dawkins, Birdsong and Richardson.
Opening night of Legends of Basketball Fantasy Weekend will see the Legends step off of the court and into the casino to compete with guests for a $50,000 prize pool during the Mohegan Sun Blackjack Tournament. On the evening of Saturday, April 26th Mohegan Sun will host the Legends of Basketball Philanthropy Awards Gala honoring 11-time NBA Champion Russell, 3-time NCAA men’s basketball champion Jim Calhoun and other basketball luminaries for their legacies on and off the court.
Legends of Basketball Fantasy Weekend is a charitable event to raise funds for the National Basketball Retired Players Association’s (NBRPA) Dave DeBusschere Scholarship Fund and other charitable partners. As part of the philanthropic weekend, the NBRPA’s Legends of Basketball will also conduct a free youth basketball and life skills clinic for the local community.
All-inclusive fantasy camp spots are just $2500 and include a ticket to the black-tie Gala honoring Bill Russell. For non-campers, tournament slots for the Mohegan Sun Blackjack Tournament start at $100 and tickets for the black-tie Gala are available starting at $300 with VIP packages and sponsorships also available.
