Northeast’s premier entertainment destination transforms into a tropical paradise this January
UNCASVILLE, CT – There’s no need to hop a seaplane or go aboard a ferry to island hop this winter. Just head over to 
Mohegan Sun this January for a special weekend of island hopping fun under the Sun!
On Saturday, January 14th, escape the winter blues with Mohegan Sun’s Island Hop party- where the 130,000 square-foot Shops concourse will be transformed into a tropical paradise complete with a tiki bar, steel drummers, Island Oasis signature drinks, a live DJ and more. Food, drink and retail specials will also be featured at a number of restaurants and retailers throughout the property including Ballo Italian Restaurant & Social Club, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Jasper White’s Summer Shack and Tommy Bahama, among several others.
As part of Island Hop at Mohegan Sun, guests will receive their very own Mohegan Sun “passport.” Each time a guest ‘island hops’ at any of the participating retailers or restaurants, they will receive a stamp. Once they collect at least three stamps, they can enter to win an eight day (seven night) Celebrity Cruise! The prize, valued at over $4,000, includes balcony cabin accommodations, all meals, entertainment, taxes and tips.
The winner will be chosen on January 14th at 11:15pm at the DJ stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun. One entry per person. Must be present to enter; need not be present to win. All participants must also be Player’s Club card holders and at least 21 years of age.

New Year’s Eve at Mohegan Sun will be an event for everyone to enjoy with a variety of live entertainment, free giveaways, dining and shopping specials, Player’s Club promotions and exclusive parties at Mohegan After Dark’s Night Club, bars and lounges.
Giveaway/Countdown Celebration
Mohegan Sun will kick off the night of celebration at 4:00pm as complementary top hats, tiaras and noisemakers are distributed at Mohegan Sun’s coat check & valet locations throughout the property to all guests. Ultra 88 Night Club will be showcasing the popular celebrity disc jockey, DJ SL who is set to spin the crowd right into the New Year. Hilarious comedian and host of the hit show Chelsea Lately on E!, Chelsea Handler will take the stage for a very special New Year’s Eve performance with special guest Sarah Colonna at Mohegan Sun Arena on December 31st at 8:00pm.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac General Store will run a two hour special on New Year’s Eve from 10:00pm to Midnight as guests will receive 20% off all purchases, excluding clearance and promotional merchandise.
Kids Quest and Cyber Quest will offer can’t-miss events and activities for kids from 10:00am to 3:00am on New Year’s Eve. Kids Quest will feature crafts, games, hats and blowers, balloon drops and prizes periodically throughout the day. Cyber Quest will host a 15,000 ticket giveaway from 2:00pm to 11:00pm with 1,000 tickets being awarded per hour. At Midnight, one lucky winner will take home a grand prize of 5,000 tickets. To enter, children can earn one entry ticket per hour. Kids who are MVP Club Card holders will receive two entry tickets per hour and two bonus tickets will be awarded for daily Quest Bonus challenges. Children must be present to win.
Todd English’s Tuscany will offer a Chef’s Tasting Menu that starts out with Pear and Baby Green Insalata served with Crumbled Maytag Bleu Cheese, Candied Walnuts and White Balsamic Vinaigrette followed by Fennel Rubbed Diver Scallops with Root Vegetable Risotto and Porcini Butter. The third course is made up of a Surf and Turf combination of Petit Filet with Cipollini Demi, Charcoal Roasted Prawn,

Mohegan Sun and SeaStreak join forces to bring guests from New York City to Mohegan Sun quickly and affordably
UNCASVILLE, CT –Mohegan Sun and SeaStreak, LLC have announced a partnership to quickly and scenically bring patrons from New Jersey and New York City to Mohegan Sun. Now, guests can enjoy scenic water views aboard SeaStreak’s high-speed ferries as they travel just under three hours to the best gaming and entertainment destination in the Northeast.
The high-speed ferry company, known for its dependability and quality service, will begin runs from New Jersey and New York City to New London, Connecticut each Saturday and Sunday beginning July 3rd. SeaStreak will have ferry service available once per day from the Conners Highlands Pier in New Jersey and Pier 11 (Wall Street) and the East 35th Street Pier in New York City. From there, guests will arrive at the New London Pier and be provided complimentary transportation to and from Mohegan Sun.
