Aw Yeah Fun Zone and CTGamer Arena
TERRIFICON is more than a comic con, its several conventions in one, with the addition of two new areas at this August’s event dedicated to fun and games. AW YEAH COMICS creators, and award-winning writer and artist team, Franco and Art Balatzar, will be organizing the entire 20,000 square foot Earth Ballroom with arts, crafts, robotics, workshops, puppetry and even live music from the kids’ band “School of Rock.” The AW YEAH FUN ZONE runs all three days at TERRIFICON, taking place inside the Earth Ballroom.
Microsoft and Game Underground will take over several rooms and provide a CTGAMER con with video game tournaments with games such as FortNite, Injustice, Smash Brothers and MarioKart. A re-designed luxury food & beverage experience, Thirty Three, is also set to open on the thirty-third floor; Aspire guests to have exclusive access
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 11, 2018) –The iconic Sky Tower will soon be rolling out an enhanced & luxurious experience for hotel guests when Aspire at Mohegan Sun opens up by the end of the year. The new “hotel within a hotel” in the 1,200-room Sky Tower, will be on floors thirty-one through thirty-six, and allow its guests to take advantage of exclusive access to a fully remodeled luxury food & drink experience entitled, Thirty Three, in reference to its location on the 33rd floor, overlooking the Thames River. Various additional perks await Aspire hotel guests including private check-in, exclusive elevator access and butler service.

Thirty Three will showcase modern designs & interior and a sky-high New England view atop Mohegan Sun. Aspire guests will have access to the new space, where delicious food options, wide screen TVs, private table games and a complimentary bar await. Additionally, Aspire guests will have a private hotel arrival experience at Aquai, access to a private elevator bay and upgraded furnishings in their room or suite, as well as their own butler service. In total, Aspire accounts for 93 rooms on the top floors of Sky Tower.

IN DETAIL: Legendary basketball coach Geno Auriemma makes a slam dunk with fans during an exclusive Signings & Sightings event at Mohegan Sun. On Friday, July 20th, stop by the bottom of the Winter Escalator to meet Geno as he signs autographs for fans before the Connecticut Sun game in the Arena, featuring some of his former players!
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, Geno Auriemma will only be signing the headshots given out at event OR 1 personal item per guest. There will be no personalization. This event is bracelet-only. A limited number of bracelets will be distributed starting at 4:00pm at the signing location at the bottom of the Winter Entrance escalators.
