10th Annual benefit to take place in the Uncas Ballroom on Saturday, November 16th
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 24, 2024) – On Saturday, November 16th, all are welcome to head to Mohegan Sun to celebrate active-duty military and veterans at the 10th Annual Vets Rock. This event features valuable programs that focus on enhancing the lives of veterans and active-duty military members through a job fair, veteran service organizations, veteran-owned businesses, and other resources. This event is free and open to all ages.
Opening Ceremony The Opening Ceremony, presented by Gil Simmons from WTNH, will take place from 11:00am – Noon in front of the Box Office in The Shops at Mohegan Sun. An exciting presentation from the Tribal Color Guard will kick off the festivities! Members of Mohegan Sun’s executive team along with other influential speakers will discuss the importance of our military and will show their gratitude for veterans. Additionally, a local school will perform the National Anthem and two service dogs will be presented to their new owners by Everlasting Veteran and donated by Meadow Ridge Weims (And Danes). Following the ceremony, guests are invited to the Uncas Ballroom for the 10th year of Vets Rock.
Vets Rock Expo From Noon – 4:00pm, guests of all ages are invited to attend the free Vets Rock Expo in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun. The expo will feature tables hosted by veteran service organizations, educational services and companies looking to provide benefits to veterans and active-duty military members. A job fair hosted by Mohegan Sun will be available during the expo to assist service members and their families in accessing career opportunities. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a flu vaccine by Northeast Medical Group and interact with adorable puppies looking for their forever home as All Paws on Deck will be hosting an adoption event. The great ones endure, and Gladys Knight has long been one of the greatest. Very few singers over the last sixty years have matched her unassailable artistry. UNCASVILLE, CT (September 10, 2024) – Country music’s “emo cowgirl” Megan Moroney is set to make her Mohegan Sun Arena debut when Moroney’s “Am I Okay? Tour” hits the stage on Saturday, May 24, 2025, for an 8:00pm show.

Country music singer Corey Kent will take the Wolf Den stage for a free concert to benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving

IN DETAIL: Guests are invited to enjoy a special night in the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun as Corey Kent with special guest Max McNown will be the entertainment featured for the 16th Annual MADD benefit. Other MADD festivities include a silent auction happening daily in The Shops at Mohegan Sun from Friday, October 18th through Sunday, October 20th. The three-day auction will be held from Noon until 10:00pm each day. Donations to MADD will also be accepted at the silent auction throughout the night.

With the small-town charm of a boy from Bixby, OK, the big-city energy of Dallas, TX, and vocal prowess that rivals Nashville’s best – Corey Kent has been poised for a career in music from the beginning. Growing up influenced by various genres and artists, Corey started his journey in music at an early age. Taking the stage at age 11 as the lead singer for a touring Western Swing band, Corey hit early career milestones opening for legendary acts like Roy Clark and The Oak Ridge Boys. A few years later, he would be booking gigs around his hometown of Bixby, OK and by 17 he made his way to Nashville.
A road warrior, Corey has been seen out on the road performing over 100 shows a year in 2021 alone. Along with headlining his own shows and playing the top music festivals across the country, Corey has been the supporting act for artists including Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, Chase Rice, Eli Young, Josh Abbott, Flatland Cavalry, and Kolby Cooper.
