This Veterans Day weekend, Network Connecticut hosts a day filled with fun, entertainment and more with all proceeds benefitting multiple veteran organizations
Uncasville, CT – This Veterans Day weekend, come honor the men and women who have served our country with a day filled with fun, entertainment and so much more as Network Connecticut hosts a special party at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, November 10th. The event, which will take place in the Uncas Ballroom from 11:00am to 5:00pm, will include live entertainment featuring Grammy-nominated Blues legend James Montgomery, Illusionist David Martin as seen on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, great food, boutiques, raffles and family fun.
“I’ve seen firsthand the power of people coming together and making a difference,” said Ann Nyberg, founder of NetworkConnecticut.com. “Celebrate Our Veterans at Mohegan Sun is a collaboration of many to make a difference in the lives of our veterans who scarified so much for our nation.”
Tickets are $20.00 per person and available for purchase at the doors to the event. Veterans and children under 14 are free. Guests who donate a suit at the event will also be given complimentary access. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Save a Suit organization and Operation: Music Aid.

Actress who plays Tara Thornton on the hit HBO series will be on hand meeting fans and signing autographs
WHAT: Fans of HBO’s hit series True Blood are in for a treat when Rutina Wesley takes part in a Signings & Sightings on Saturday, October 27th. The event starts at 9:00pm in The Shops at Mohegan Sun where fans can get free autographs and greet the star actress. Wesley will also be stopping by the Halloween Costume Party taking place on the patio of Todd English’s Tuscany later that night.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the popularity of this event, the signing will be bracelet-only. Bracelets will be distributed starting at 8:00pm on Saturday, October 27th on a first-come, first-served basis at the signing stage in The Shops concourse and must be worn in order to gain entrance into this event.

Multi-talented performer will rock the Arena on December 31st

Agreement Allows Casino to Gear Up for Regulated Online Gaming
Uncasville, CT – Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs are pleased to announce an agreement with Las Vegas-based Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), to provide customers with its iGaming platform. This technology will allow customers to enjoy the thrill of online poker play without wagering money. The play-for-free model will be available beginning in early 2013 at www.mohegansun.com and www.poconodowns.com. Mohegan Sun is the only gaming destination on the East Coast to offer Bally’s iGaming technology.
The agreement comes after an extensive six-month review process to determine the best vendor and technology. “We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Bally Technologies,” said Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. “Our goal is always to provide our guests with the best gaming and entertainment offerings and we believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on property. This November, Bingo After Dark is back at Mohegan Sun for the fourth time
As the temperature drops, things inside Mohegan Sun steam up with Bingo After Dark, back for its fourth time on Saturday, November 24th after selling out in August! Set against an ultra hip neon backdrop, winning $15,000 has never looked better.

Anyone with a taste for adventure is encouraged to sign up to rappel as well. Over the Edge – Mohegan Sun will kick-off at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day. Pre-registration is required, and will give participants the opportunity to create a personal fundraising page so that their friends, family members and colleagues can “sponsor” them easily and securely. Participants will receive a t-shirt and photo of themselves in action. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to cheer on participants!
The event also offers the opportunity to Toss Your Boss. Co-workers can join forces to raise funds and send their boss over the side of the prominent building that day. A good-hearted, willing boss is required. No experience is necessary.
The event is being held to raise awareness about Special Olympics and inspire acceptance and inclusion for people of all abilities as well as to raise funds for its year-round programs. Throughout the year, Special Olympics athletes demonstrate courage on the playing field as they train and compete in sports, strive to achieve personal goals and realize their potential. For one day at Mohegan Sun, individuals will, themselves, demonstrate courage and go to new heights to support these athletes by bravely going Over the Edge.
