Denis Leary and Friends Present #ThinningTheHerd will make its limited run with stops in NY, CT and NJ. The tour will be headlined by Denis Leary with Lenny Clarke, Adam Ferrara, Robert Kelly, Kenny Rogerson and Tony V joining in select cities. Season nine American Idol star to perform in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Friday, May 20th
Mohegan Sun’s Reality Check returns on Friday, May 20th with the incredibly gifted singer Siobhan Magnus of American Idol’s season nine. The performance kicks off at 7:00pm followed by a signing event at 7:45pm. This free and exclusive event will take place in The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Special party for horse racing’s biggest day to be held in the Uncas Ballroom on Saturday, May 7th
On Saturday, May 7th, this year’s “Run for the Roses” will be celebrated in full at Mohegan Sun with the annual Kentucky Derby Party held in the Uncas Ballroom. Doors for the special party will open to the public at 10:00am.
Returning again for this year’s festivities will be popular guest handicappers Jim Mazur from Progressive Handicapping, INC. and regular WEEI Sports Radio talk show host Mike Mutnansky. Guests can also enjoy great food and drink specials including the Derby’s signature cocktail, Mint Julep.
Guests joining the fun for this exclusive event will be able to take advantage of thirty betting terminals, seven large screens and tasty food offerings. There will be open seating for approximately 1,000 people; seating is on a “first-come, first-served” basis. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
Once guests get settled in, they will have the opportunity to gain some expert advice on which three-year-old thoroughbred to cheer on, as special guest handicappers Jim Mazur and Mike Mutnansky will be available to consult. Mazur is the President of Progressive Handicapping, Inc. and also the author of The Triple Crown Undercard Handicapper 2007. Bon Jovi’s 2011 Tour, promoted by AEG Live, will stop at Mohegan Sun Arena for its 4th and final show on Saturday, May 7th at 8:00pm and one lucky band will get an opportunity to make a name for themselves. From now until April 28th, 96.5TIC’s “Wanted… Opening Band For Bon Jovi” contest will give aspiring unsigned Rock bands a chance to perform for thousands of fans as the opening act for Bon Jovi.
If you are an unsigned band interested in entering, log onto 965TIC.com from Wednesday, April 6th at approximately 7:20am through Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 11:59am and submit two (2) original songs of your band performing in an actual concert setting, including a biography of your band, a JPEG picture of your band plus a YouTube.com link to your band’s performance.
Beginning on Tuesday, April 12th at Noon, twenty randomly selected eligible band entries will be selected by a panel of experts and 96.5TIC. Uncasville, CT – A Holyoke, Massachusetts resident is waking up a millionaire this morning after winning over $1.4 million on a penny machine at Mohegan Sun on Monday, April 4th. Gabrielle Brin-Martin won $1,427,870.21 on a one cent IGT Star Wars Wide Area Progressive in Casino of the Sky near SolToro Tequila Grill.
