Pop superstar Katy Perry has officially announced dates for her upcoming California Dreams World Tour, in support of her platinum-selling sophomore album Teenage Dream. Katy will kick off the California Dreams tour on February 20th in Lisbon, Portugal, traveling throughout Europe, the U.K., Australia and Japan before hitting Canada and the U.S. The North American leg of the tour sponsored by Schick® Quattro for Women® will start on June 7th in Atlanta, GA and will run through August 14th with two shows in Katy’s hometown Santa Barbara, CA. The tour is making its way to Connecticut for one night only in Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, June 25th at 7:30pm with special guest Mariana & The Diamonds.

As announced last week, Katy will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Feb. 13th. Six-time nominee, Katy is up for four awards this year including the coveted “Album of the Year,” along with “Best Pop Album,” “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for “Teenage Dream” and “Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals” for “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg. Foodies will have the opportunity to meet four of the 2011 Sun WineFest celebrity chefs on January 28th. Chefs Govind Armstrong, Robert Irvine, Christina Pirello and Jasper White will speak with guests and sign copies of their latest cookbooks in a special Signings & Sightings event at Mohegan Sun.
The personal appearance and signing will take place on the Spin Street Stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Friday, January 28th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Jenny Tseng, commonly known in Cantonese speaking regions as “Yan Nei,” is a Macau-born singer who has been based in Hong Kong for much of her performing career. With her outstanding singing talent, Jenny first achieved mainstream success throughout the Chinese region during the early 1970s. Her powerful voice has made her a memorable diva with a career that spans over three decades. Her repertoire includes both Cantonese and Mandarin songs. She was awarded “Most Popular Artist Award” in 1984 at the Jade Solid Gold Ceremony, the first singer to receive this honorable award. In addition to singing, Tseng is a successful entrepreneur and has also acted in several films during the 1970s and 1980s.
In recent years, Tseng has performed all over the world and embarked on her Farewell World Tour in the fall of 2009, making the end of her performing career and saying goodbye to fans all over the world.
