A night of stand-up comedy on May 21st
Gabriel Iglesias, one of the hottest comedians in the stand-up game today, will be performing live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, May 21st at 8:00pm
All seats are $35.00 and go on sale Saturday, February 27th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge by Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. Gabriel Iglesias has been described as unbelievably funny, electrifying and a gifted performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a quality comedy experience in every venue he performs in. His high-octane show is a hilarious mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal issues to life. Known as the “fluffy” comic in a Hawaiian shirt, the 33-year old funny man often riffs about his girthy middle – whether it’s talking about how little dancing it takes for him to work up a sweat at the night club, or how hearing his girlfriend coo the words “chocolate cake” over the telephone works for him like phone sex, he evokes laughter.
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked the 4th best venue by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events at Mohegan Sun, visit mohegansun.com. Wins $1.2 million on a Wheel of Fortune® MegaJackpot®
UNCASVILLE, CT – A Massachusetts woman struck it big at Mohegan Sun over the weekend, winning just under $1.3 million on a five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive MegaJackpot® in Casino of the Sky near Wombi Rock.
Kerri Murray of Revere, Massachusetts said, “I always play this game and this particular machine.” After investing around $300.00 into the winning machine, Murray reported being surprised to find she had won the top progressive prize. “Oh my God! Complete shock! I thought it was $10,000, then realized it was over a million!” she reported. Immediate plans for the new millionaire will include buying a new truck and “taking my boyfriend to Aruba.”
Saturday’s MegaJackpot® is the third and largest to be paid this year at Mohegan Sun. On January 11th, an impressive $677,912 Jeopardy!® MegaJackpot® prize was awarded. Just one week ago, on February 6th, a lucky customer walked away with $704,939 from a Wheel of Fortune® progressive jackpot on a one-dollar machine. Since 1996, 166 MegaJackpots® have been paid at the casino totaling nearly $117 million.
The five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive system has a starting jackpot of one million dollars. In order to win the MegaJackpot®, a player bets ten dollars at a time while attempting to line up the Wheel of Fortune® symbols on the machine’s payline. Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, anywhere in the network, the cumulative jackpot grows and continues to build until it is won.
