UNCASVILLE, CT – A Massachusetts woman struck it big at Mohegan Sun over the weekend, winning just under $1.3 million on a five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive MegaJackpot® in Casino of the Sky near Wombi Rock.
Kerri Murray of Revere, Massachusetts said, “I always play this game and this particular machine.” After investing around $300.00 into the winning machine, Murray reported being surprised to find she had won the top progressive prize. “Oh my God! Complete shock! I thought it was $10,000, then realized it was over a million!” she reported. Immediate plans for the new millionaire will include buying a new truck and “taking my boyfriend to Aruba.”
Saturday’s MegaJackpot® is the third and largest to be paid this year at Mohegan Sun. On January 11th, an impressive $677,912 Jeopardy!® MegaJackpot® prize was awarded. The five-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive system has a starting jackpot of one million dollars. In order to win the MegaJackpot®, a player bets ten dollars at a time while attempting to line up the Wheel of Fortune® symbols on the machine’s payline. Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, anywhere in the network, the cumulative jackpot grows and continues to build until it is won.
