Enjoy delectable dining specials between January 21st – 25th at select restaurants across property
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 28, 2023) – Mohegan Sun’s annual Restaurant Week is back, and guests can enjoy mouthwatering dining specials for a five-day stretch from Sunday, January 21st through Thursday, January 25th. Restaurants including, but not limited to, BALLO Italian Restaurant, Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Todd English’s Tuscany and TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge will be getting in on the Restaurant Week action by offering can’t-miss dining specials.
Guests can enjoy Restaurant Week at BALLO Italian Restaurant with a three-course meal option for $45 per person. For the first course, guests can choose either a Caesar Salad with Parmigiano and croutons, an Arugula Salad with pine nuts, shaved Parmigiano and lemon, or Meatballs made with Pomodoro, pecorino, basil and mozzarella. The second course gives guests the option of Chicken Francese made with sautéed spinach, roasted garlic, grilled lemon and white wine, Campanella alla Vodka served with stracciatella, Salmon served with roasted Brussels, butternut squash, almonds and Calabrian honey or Eggplant Parmigiana made with mozzarella, pomodoro and basil. For the third course, enjoy a Vanilla and Chocolate Chip Cannoli.
The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House’s Restaurant Week specials include an Irish Trio consisting of house made shepherd’s pie, corned beef & cabbage, banger sausage and soda bread for $36 and Corned Beef & Cabbage Spring Rolls made with corned beef, cabbage, carrots, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing for $16. Additionally, guests can enjoy a 20 oz. Guinness for $15.
The featured specials over at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill include a $19 3-Pointer featuring a half garlic bread, half-pound wings and two spring rolls. Other specials include a 14 oz. BBQ Rubbed Prime Rib served with mashed potatoes, smoked onion jus and horseradish cream for $42 and a $6 23 oz. Bud Light Draft.
At Michael Jordan’s Steak House, guests can dig into a 42 oz. Tomahawk Steak served with steak sauce and fries for $99 or Beef Satay served with Crying Tiger Sauce for $16.
Sol Toro is getting in on the Restaurant Week action with Mix & Match Tacos where guests can choose two or three tacos for $4.50 each; taco options include Fried Cod Fish with Aji mayo and slaw, Pork Carnitas with Sol Toro salsa, cilantro and onion, Fried Chicken with Habanero tomatillo salsa, cilantro and onion, Mexicali Chicken with Guacasalsa and pico de gallo and a Bean Taco made with pinto beans, tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese and cilantro line crema. Additionally, Sol Toro will feature a Chicken Fried Rice Bowl made with Chipotle chicken, soy chili, roasted garlic and a fried egg for $22 and a Frozen Margarita Flight for $10.
Jasper White’s Summer Shack will offer a three-course meal for $55 per person. For the first course, guests can choose either a Mixed Greens Salad with House Vinaigrette, a cup of New England Clam Chowder or a cup of Spicy Bermuda Fish & Crab Chowder. For the second course, dive into either a 1 lb. Pan-Roasted Lobster served with butter, bourbon, white wine, chervil, shallots and corn on the cob, a Seafood Fra Diavola with Linguini, lobster, shrimp and squid in a spicy red sauce or Grilled Tenderloin Steak Tips served with sautéed mushrooms, garlic broccoli, mashed potatoes and peppercorn cream sauce. For the third course, guests can enjoy a house made dessert.
Sushi Koya is set to offer a special three course meal for $40 per person. For the first course, guests can choose between a Kani Salad or Seaweed Salad. Options for the second course include Dinosaur Eggs consisting of spicy tuna wrapped in avocado, a Sushi Appetizer featuring five pieces of raw fish (Chef’s choice) served with rice or Pork Gyoza. At Todd English’s Tuscany, foodies can enjoy Restaurant Week with a three-course meal for $50 per person from 5:00pm – close on Monday, January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th. For the first course, guests can pick among an Autumn Salad consisting of Arcadia mix, double smoked bacon lardons, dried cranberries, Granny Smith apples, pecans, gorgonzola cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette or a Caesar Salad featuring Little Gem lettuce, Tuscan croutons and eggless Caesar dressing or lastly, a house made Lobster Bisque consisting of Maine lobster meat, roasted fennel and chives. For the second course, choose a house made Butternut Squash Ravioli with brown butter, sage and toasted pepitas or a 6 oz. Bone-In Pork Chop served with braised Napa cabbage and Granny Smith apples, silk potatoes and apple butter or a 4 oz. Salmon Florentine served with roasted root vegetables, parsnip puree and lemon butter. For the third course, guests can enjoy a selection of Sorbet Gelato with Chocolate Biscotti or Tiramisu with Coffee Ganache and Chocolate-Covered Espresso Beans.
Restaurant Week at Tao Asian Bistro & Lounge will take place from 5:00pm – close on Monday, January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th with the featured special being a Pu-Pu Platter consisting of one piece of Crispy Tuna, one piece of Satay Bass, one piece of Chicken Satay, one piece of Gyoza and one Lollipop Wing for $30.
Available from 5:00pm – 8:00pm during Restaurant Week, Johnny Rockets will offer two burgers, one side and two shakes for $30.

Environmental Leaders and Future Tesla Owners joined Mohegan Sun and Tesla to Celebrate the opening of Tesla’s Electric Vehicle Sales & Delivery Center at Mohegan Sun and the Expansion of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure to come
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 20th, 2023) – Mohegan Sun and Tesla today celebrated the Grand Opening of the all-new Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) Showroom that comes equipped with a full Sales & Delivery Center. Attendees
celebrated the opening, the new partnership and the environmental benefits that increased zero emission vehicles can bring to the region.
The new sales and delivery center is the first-of-its-kind in Connecticut. The Mohegan Tribe is a sovereign nation with its own laws, ordinances and governing services which allows for this addition of zero emission vehicle sales to join the Shops at Mohegan Sun. Other jurisdictions which allow manufacturers to sell zero-emission vehicles directly to consumers have seen an increase in electric vehicle adoption which comes with cleaner air and better health outcomes for residents. The partnership will also lead to the expansion of charging infrastructure at Mohegan Sun.
The special occasion on Wednesday, December 20th also showcased some of the very first Tesla buyers taking delivery on their new Tesla at Mohegan Sun.

“Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun, with a full sales, service and delivery operation, is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivaled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination,”-said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun. “This new partnership allows for a significant upgrade to our existing charging spaces as well, creating an enhanced amenity and more convenience for our guests and travelers throughout the region.”
The Tesla EV Showroom in the Shops at Mohegan Sun is open daily from 10:0am – 7:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and it is open from 10:00am – 10:00pm on

Mohegan Sun’s collaboration with Tesla will also result in a substantial deployment of Electric Vehicle chargers throughout Mohegan Sun’s parking infrastructure. A project commencing soon will install 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors to be split across the Riverview garage, Summer garage and Winter garage, which are all connected to the resort. These chargers will work with all electric vehicles so that everyone that may need it will have access to charging. Completion of this project is planned for Spring 2024 and should demand warrant it, Mohegan Sun and Tesla will increase the total past 100. The project currently projects to bring Mohegan Sun’s total to 75 chargers, making Mohegan Sun home to the biggest deployment of Tesla Universal Wall Connectors in Connecticut, and one of the leaders nationwide.
The grand opening celebration Wednesday morning also included comments from Lori Brown, who is the Executive Director for the CT League of Conservation Voters. Brown spoke to how this opening is a win for consumers, a win for the state and a win for the environment and the broader impacts that efforts geared towards sustainability can have.

Unwoke wins the $5,000 grand prize and will headline a show in the Wolf Den on Saturday, June 15, 2024
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 18, 2023) –Unwoke from Montville, Connecticut was crowned 2023 Locals Live Champions after the finals on Wednesday, December 13th at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den. As part of the grand prize, Unwoke won $5,000 and will headline a show in the Wolf Den on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Modern Country band The Rakes from Litchfield County, CT took 2nd place and received a $1,000 cash prize.
Unwoke, The Rakes, and third-place solo act KENNII from East Haven, CT, were named finalists after an exciting four week-contest hosted by Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications. Twelve bands were originally selected to perform live in the Wolf Den and competed in groups throughout November. Unwoke, The Rakes, and KENNII advanced to the finals after winning their respective first-round battles.
On Wednesday night, the finals attracted an enthusiastic crowd. Attendees were urged to dance to their preferred bands to earn points for crowd participation. The judges’ final decision was based on the audience’s reaction, stage presence, musical presentation, and originality.
“It’s an incredible honor to be acknowledged as the 2023 Locals Live champion,” said Sean Higgins, singer/songwriter of Unwoke. “The Wolf Den atmosphere was second to none from an energy standpoint. That’s as close to Madison Square Garden as it gets for us ’local musicians’!
Unwoke is a three-piece Rock band based out of Montville, CT. The band formed in 2019, featuring Sean Higgins as the lead song writer, guitarist, and vocalist, and Dave Apanashk handling the bass and vocals. Joe Sardo is the man behind the drums.
Most would consider the trio a cross between Metal and Hard Rock. Some songs have a Metallica/Iron Maiden type of sound while others less Metal. The group specializes in Classic Rock covers for familiarity with their own original music mixed in.
The panel of guest judges at the Locals Live finals were Carl Strube, President of Critique Records, Simone Oliva, of “Tip the Van”, and independent Country singer, songwriter, and Locals Live 2022 champion Nick Bosse.

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 13, 2023) – In response to the success of his four rapid sell-out tour dates at Mohegan Sun Arena, a fifth show date for Matt Rife’s ProbleMATTIc World Tour has been added. The popular comedian is set to take over the Arena in 2024 from Wednesday, February 21st – Sunday, February 25th, with all shows starting at 8:00pm. This five-night run of consecutive shows is a record breaking first for Mohegan Sun Arena.
Tickets to the fifth show go on sale Friday, December 15th at 1:00pm via Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, December 16th, subject to availability. All guests must be 18+ to attend.

UNCASVILLE, CT (December 12, 2023) –– Multi-Grammy Award-winning and diamond-selling Rap superstar, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Nelly, will take over the Mohegan Sun Arena stage on Wednesday, March 20th for an 8:00pm show.
Tickets to see the Midwest Hip-Hop legend go on sale Friday, December 15th at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be bought at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, December 16th, subject to availability.
Nelly embarked on his music career with Midwest hip hop group St. Lunatics, in 1993 and signed to Universal Records in 1999. Nelly entered the spotlight with the release of Country Grammar in 2000, spending seven weeks at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and spawning the massive hits “Ride Wit Me”, “Country Grammar”, and “E.I.”. The album landed Nelly four Grammy Award nominations and sold over nine million copies worldwide. Country Grammar is Nelly’s best-selling album to date, selling over 8.4 million copies in the United States.
