The event is the first party in the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook, which comes with its own set of logistical hurdles. Grand prize winner of this special music competition will receive $5,000 and a headlining show at the Wolf Den
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 25, 2023) – Local bands and musicians will have the chance to turn dreams into reality during Locals Live! Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications will host another exciting four-week competition where local talent battle for a $5,000 grand prize. The Locals Live champion will also get the opportunity to headline their own show in the award-winning Wolf Den, where acts like Thomas Rhett, LL Cool J, Barenaked Ladies, and last year’s Locals Live winner Nick Bosse based out of North Stonington, CT have graced the stage. Submissions can be made from Monday, September 25th to Wednesday, October 25th through the WCTY website.
Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications will select nine bands/musicians plus two alternates, and three acts per week will compete live every Wednesday from November 15th – December 6th (excluding November 22nd) from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. A live vote from the crowd will determine who will advance on the path to the most epic musical showdown in town, the final competition, on Wednesday, December 13th. At the finals, guest and celebrity judges will play a pivotal role in deciding the official Locals Live champion.
Admission to attend Locals Live is free, and guests can enjoy $4 Michelob Ultra and Bud Light specials. Guests may line up no sooner than three hours before the show. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. One guest can hold four spots in line, but seats will only be given to those present at the time of seating. All guests must be 21 or older to enter the Wolf Den.
For the purposes of this competition, talent is defined as musicians, bands, or singer-songwriters only. All talent must be 21 years of age or older and from CT, RI, MA or NY. Performers must adhere to all Mohegan Sun rules and sign a guidelines contract prior to performance. Talent must be able to set up by 5:00pm on date of performance for sound check. All rules subject to change/management interpretation.

WHAT: The 37th annual New England Christmas Festival returns to Mohegan Sun just in time for the holiday season! The popular award-winning show is the largest arts and crafts festival in New England.

IN DETAIL: All is merry and bright at the New England Christmas Festival! From November 3rd – November 5th, guests are invited to join a shopping extravaganza with over 350 arts, crafts & specialty food pop-up shops owned by American Artisans that come together once a year for three days only. Shoppers will go on a giant treasure hunt to find unique holiday gifts for loved ones while also tucking away a goodie or two for themselves.
The array of handmade products includes stunning jewelry, seasonal decorations, photography, distinctive home accessories, spa products, children’s toys and clothes, pet specialties, gifts for the sports minded, specialty foods, personalized gits and much, much more. These are items that will not be found on store shelves, but rather cater to those looking for “something more”. There is something for everyone, and in all price ranges!

Meet and greet with Patriots Cheerleaders, giveaways, game-day grub and much more
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 1, 2023) – The professional football season is right around the corner, and guests are invited to get ready to score big on Thursday, September 7th from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party hosted right in the heart of Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook. Guests can catch all of the live action on Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook’s 140-foot video wall, the largest in the Northeast, while enjoying the ultimate tailgating atmosphere. The Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party will feature game-day grub, ice-cold beverages, live music by DJ Flip, high-energy camaraderie with fellow fans and a special meet and greet with the Patriots Cheerleaders!

Guests who book table reservations for seating at the Season Kick-Off Tailgate Party are eligible for giveaways throughout the night. Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill this October!
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 30, 2023) – Five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Ms. Lauryn Hill has announced The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour to commemorate her influential 1998 debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill including a special one-night stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, October 13th for a 9:00pm show.
Tickets to see the former Fugees member are $179.50, $129.50, $99.50 $79.50 and $59.50 and go on sale this Friday at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.com. Subject to availability, tickets can also be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Saturday, September 2nd.
Hill is widely considered one of the most notable Hip Hop, R&B, and fashion/style icons of all time. Over the past few months, Ms. Lauryn Hill has been seen in dazzling looks while making select appearances at events across the country in celebration of the anniversary year of the album. Wearing a bright pink blazer, Hill made a surprise appearance at Hip-Hop 50th Anniversary in New York City, performing a medley of her and Fugees’ hits with legendary collaborator Nas.
In June, Hill headlined the Roots Picnic festival, reuniting with the Fugees for the first time since 2021.
