Weighing in at an impressive 10 tons, this dual-sided masterpiece was crafted entirely from sand by the award-winning team at Professional Sculptors, LLC, featuring celebrated artists Abe Waterman and Greg J. “G2” Grady. The sculpture brings to life iconic Mohegan symbols and stories, including: a classic slot machine, the legendary Mohegan Sun rock that greets visitors outside the casino, wolves honoring the Wolf People, and a detailed likeness of former Mohegan Tribe Chief, Ralph Sturges. This immersive display is more than just a seasonal attraction, it’s a tribute to the rich heritage of the Mohegan Tribe and the vibrant energy of Mohegan Sun.

MEET THE ARTISTS BEHIND THE MAGIC:
Abe Waterman, hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, is known for his imaginative and unconventional approach to ephemeral art. With a background in snow and ice sculpting, Abe transitioned to sand in 2007 and has since become a leading figure in the field. His accolades include First Place at the 2025 Atlantis Rising International Sand Sculpture Competition, European Champion at the International Sand Sculpture Europe Championship in Belgium in 2021 and World Champion in the Doubles category with Dmitry Klimenko at the Virginia Beach Neptune Championship Sand Sculpting in 2018. His work continues to captivate audiences across North America and beyond.
Greg J. Grady, a New Hampshire native and Marine Corps veteran, is a second-generation sand sculptor who turned a childhood passion into a full-time career. With over 15 years of experience, Greg has traveled the globe creating intricate sand masterpieces. Stage Musical Celebrates Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts Comic Strip, 1965 Television Special, and Vince Guaraldi’s Musical Score

Three days of pickle-themed fun, food, music, and contests kicks off Friday, July 25th

Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, is a Chicago-born, Grammy award-winning American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and community advocate. Following successful sold-out performances in 2022 and 2023, critically acclaimed comedian Adam Sandler announces his new tour – the You’re My Best Friend Tour. The fall 2025 arena tour will bring Sandler to more than 30 cities across North America, including a return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, September 26th for an unforgettable 7:30pm show.

The Iconic Group joins the Sun Patio Concert Series lineup for a night of Unforgettable Music and Summer Fun
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 18, 2025) – Get ready to shake things up as legendary group, Village People, bring the ultimate Disco revival to the Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, July 12th, as part of the high-energy Sun Patio Concert Series launched on June 14th with crowd favorite Rock band Buckcherry. The show kicks off at 7:30pm and is open to fans of all ages, making it a perfect summer night out for the whole family. The Village People are one of the most talented and well-known Disco groups of their era. Their music is part of the international songbook and their debut album, released in 1977, featured the hit singles “San Francisco (You Got Me)” and “In Hollywood (Everybody’s A Star).”
Village People at that time consisted of only Victor Willis and session singers. Eventually, a group was assembled around Willis to perform on American Bandstand. Thus began the creation of Village People.
The guys were soon an international phenomenon with release of the second album titled Macho Man, once again recorded by Victor Willis with use of session singers. Auditions were held for performers to join Victor however prior to the release of the Macho Man album and many answered the call. Village People were finally a bona fide group.
Next was the five-time platinum album Cruisin which featured the blockbuster hit “Y.M.C.A.” After that was the Go West album, and finally Live and Sleazy. Victor Willis then exited the group but not before leaving them with such smash hits as “Y.M.C.A” “Macho Man” “Go West” “In the Navy” “Magic Night” and “Milk Shake.” Village People have sold over 100 million records worldwide!
