Mohegan Sun’s ultra-lounge novelle is starting Valentine’s Day early with the Sweetheart Special Surf & Turf Dinner for Two. Guests can devour an 8-oz. New York strip steak, mashed Boursin Yukon potatoes, sautéed broccolini and three grilled shrimp tossed in a demi-glace for $100. Pair the delicious meal with a Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Martini for $16, or half bottles of Moët & Chandon for $40 each. BALLO Italian Restaurant is also kicking off the holiday a little early with dining specials that run from Friday, February 9th through Thursday, February 15th. Specials include Frutti di Mare, made of house-cured salmon, braised octopus, Sicilian blood orange and Calabrian chili for $22, and a special Surf & Turf made with an 8-oz. filet mignon, burro bianco poached lobster and roasted asparagus for $72. For dessert, guests can enjoy strawberry & white chocolate cannoli for $12.
Over at Todd English’s Tuscany, guests can enjoy an Arugula Avocado Salad for $16, made with baby arugula, sliced avocado, halved grape heirloom tomatoes, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and topped with a refreshing lemon vinaigrette. Specials also include Lobster Ravioli with black truffle cream, fried shallots and chives for $40, and Steak Frites, complete with a 10-oz. hanger steak, skin-on fries and hollandaise for $45.
Those looking for a lavish dining experience can look no further than Michael Jordan’s Steak House. Roasted Oysters with Parmesan breadcrumbs, black garlic truffle butter and pickled beets are available for $22, and the main course is Chateaubriand for Two, featuring 30-day butter-aged 22-oz. filet mignon paired with a truffled pomme puree and mushroom bordelaise for $130. Toast to the night with Vollereaux Brut champagne for two for $25.
Next door at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, guests can enjoy a classic surf & turf, complete with a 7-oz. filet mignon, a 6-oz. lobster tail, sweet mashed potatoes, green beans and a red wine sauce for $65. Dessert is a rich chocolate lava cake served with chocolate ice cream and caramelized raspberries for $15. Seal the meal with Cupid’s Kiss, a special Valentine’s Day cocktail made with Van Gogh vanilla vodka, strawberry purée, Mozart chocolate strawberry liqueur and a graham cracker rim for $16.
Sol Toro is also offering their delicious version of Surf & Turf, complete with a 10-oz. New York strip steak, shrimp enchilada and chipotle cream for $55. For dessert, guests can devour the Banana Chocolate Cake, an upside-down banana cake, topped with vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel for $13. The Valentine’s Day cocktail at Sol Toro is the Apasionado del Corazón, made with Corazón Blanco, Passoã (passionfruit liquor), fresh lime juice and agave for $16.
Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House is serving up their special Marry Me Chicken – sautéed chicken in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce with spinach, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese and fresh basil over a bed of spaghetti for $26. Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House’s version of Surf & Turf includes a 14-oz. New York strip steak topped with chimichurri sauce, a 6-oz. lobster tail, roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts for $70. Dessert is Fried Ice Cream consisting of deep-fried ice cream coated in Corn Flakes, topped with strawberry compote, chocolate rings and whipped cream for $12.
A prix fixe dinner for two at Jasper White’s Summer Shack is $100 and starts with the choice of a shareable appetizer. Options include Cocktail Shrimp, Mussels with white wine, garlic and herbs, Rhode Island Style Calamari served with cherry peppers and garlic butter, or Sesame Crusted Tuna served with daikon radish and bang bang sauce. Next up is a choice of either a mixed green salad with house vinaigrette or a cup of chowder. For the entrée, options include Shack Baked Stuffed Shrimp served with lobster sauce and white rice, Grilled Tenderloin Steak Tip Frites topped with garlic butter and served with fries, Grilled Salmon with a side of roasted herb potatoes, grilled asparagus and beurre blanc, and Herb Roasted Chicken with mashed potatoes, broccoli and gravy. Irish-Inspired Specials & Celebrations to Take Place Across Property

On Sunday, March 17th, guests can partake in delicious dining specials, enjoy live entertainment, or pick up a limited edition cocotte from Le Creuset. Guests can also stop by Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House for exciting giveaways throughout the day.
Tom’s Urban is celebrating all March long with St. Madness! Fans of Division I College Basketball can cheer on their bracket picks across 23 hi-definition flat screens and try their luck with Tom’s Two-Handed Stein Hoist, an event that will separate the true fans from the pretenders. Participants of the Two-Handed Stein Hoist will be challenged to see who can hold a 40 oz. glass of their favorite beer airborne the longest. All participants can purchase a 40 oz. glass of Stella Artois for $14.50 and have the glass topped off before the competition begins. The winner gets bragging rights, along with a $50 gift card to use towards a future visit. Guests interested in Tom’s Two-Handed Stein Hoist will have three chances to test their strength: Friday, March 29th, Sunday, March 31st, and Saturday, April 6th.

The regular Lansdowne menu is available all day and includes these special, Irish-inspired dishes:

Entertainment will be provided by Clan O’ Cleary from Noon – 3:00pm and again from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Clan O’Cleary is a five-piece band known throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island for playing traditional Irish music and original songs written by members of the group. The unique instrumentation arranged by the band provides a fuller sound to the audience. This is done by incorporating at least 14 instruments associated with Irish music, and playing multiple instruments in addition to singing.
Live entertainment during St. Patrick’s Day will also be provided by The Wolf Den and Comix Roadhouse. Sean McConnell brings southern charm to The Wolf Den starting at 7:00pm. Sean McConnell’s career started with a grassroots following and has quickly attracted the attention of Country icons like Tim MGraw, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, and more. McConnell’s sound – a warm tenor painting vivid stories over acoustic guitar often cushioned by keys or other strings – has prompted a diverse range of music scenes to warmly claim Sean as one of their own.
St. Patrick’s Day is also Silly Sunday over at the newly renovated Comix Roadhouse, and comedian Pat Oates is bringing the laughs with a show at 8:00pm. Pat is the 2015 winner of Comix Roadhouse’s Last Comix Standing contest, a writer for Laugh Staff and the host of the Pat Oates Is Sad podcast. His crowd work skills are regarded by many of his peers as second to none. Guests who are looking for an earlier show can enjoy house hypnotist Jim Spinnato at 5:00pm. Spinnato’s peformances are a combination of magic, illusion, and comedy; with lots of audience participation.
Seasons Buffet has incorporated a special menu for St. Patrick’s Day. On March 17th, guests can celebrate with corned beef, Irish soda bread, Guinness Stout Irish stew, house-made boxty, shepherd’s pie, steamed cabbage, colcannon, potato salad, cole slaw, macaroni salad, Irish potato salad, health slaw, parsley boiled potatoes, Dubliner coddle, and grilled beef sausage.
On St. Patrick’s Day, various restaurants across property are offering their take on corned beef and cabbage – an Irish favorite. Todd English’s Tuscany is offering house-made Wagyu corned beef, salt cured potatoes, Guinness glazed carrots, and cabbage béchamel for $34.00. Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe has corned beef and cabbage served with potatoes, carrots, and grain mustard for $23.00. Pasta Vita is serving corned beef and cabbage dinner for two for $18.95. At Jasper White’s Summer Shack enjoy corned beef and potato croquettes with a pint of green beer for $10.00.

IN DETAIL: Feel the powerful presence of the star of Long Island Medium when Theresa Caputo engages with fans during a special Signings & Sightings event. Guests will enjoy a photo meet and greet with Theresa and receive a pre-signed copy of her book, Good Grief, on Friday, March 17th in The Shops concourse.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a ticketed event. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, February 21st and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, or the Mohegan Sun Box Office. The Mohegan Sun Box Office will open at 9:00am on the day of the event. Ticket holders will gain entry to photo meet and greet as well as receive 1 pre-signed copy of Good Grief, which will be distributed following the photo meet & greet. No additional items will be signed, and Theresa will not be doing any personal readings. Guests are asked to leave bags and any sort of luggage at coat check or in their vehicles. These items will not be allowed into the event. No personal photos will be allowed. All photos will be taken by a professional photographer and distributed via an online link after the event.
