WHAT: In response to the American Red Cross experiencing unprecedented blood shortages across the country, The Mohegan Tribal Health Department is hosting a blood drive at Mohegan Sun. This blood drive is open to the public and all donors will receive a $10 Amazon gift card.

IN DETAIL: The Mohegan Tribal Health Department, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, February 9th from 11:30am – 4:30pm in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an urgent need to increase blood supply levels. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed to help prevent further delays in vital medical treatments.
Guests can go to redcrossblood.org and type “MOHEGAN” in the search box to sign-up. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are highly encouraged. Guests can also expedite their donation experience by completing their pre-donation screening at redcrossblood.org/rapidpass. As a special thanks, donors will receive a $10 Amazon gift card via email.

Microbrews, craft beers, and more finished off with an exclusive BrewBrunch
Uncasville, CT (August 21, 2014) – Sun BrewFest returns to Mohegan Sun on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th with a variety of finely crafted brews to please any palate. Treat yourself to a weekend of beer tasting capped off by an exclusive Sunday BrewBrunch.
Saturday Tasting Sessions
Tap into up to 200 of the best beers around during one of the two tasting sessions on Saturday, October 4th. Explore a wide variety of breweries pouring out 2 ounce samples of their favorite beers for guests to enjoy in souvenir, mini pilsner glasses. Try and find your favorite as you taste your way through Craft Beers, Microbrews, Imports, Domestics and ciders. Live music keeps the entertainment going all day long inside Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom.
Tickets to the tasting sessions are $25.00 each. The first session runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and the second session runs from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
BrewBrunch
The fun continues to flow on Sunday during a special BrewBrunch sponsored by Goose Island and Absolut from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The BrewBrunch features beer infused cocktails and an array of brunch items, each and every recipe containing Goose Island beer! If you’re all brewed out, don’t worry, Absolut will help you create your own signature Bloody Mary for the perfect brunch beverage.
Tickets to the BrewBrunch are $60.00 each and include all food and drink.

UNCASVILLE, CT (November 10, 2008) – Mohegan Sun’s “Wild Wednesdays” charity cook-offs between local fire departments, including the Mohegan Tribal Fire Department and Mohegan Sun Chefs, raised $50,493 for the American Red Cross Charter Oak Chapter of Connecticut. The cook-offs were held on Wednesdays between July 9th and August 27th on the rooftop of the Riverview Garage as part of Hot Summer Fun 2008 at Mohegan Sun.
Since 2002, the cook-offs have raised more than $260,000 for charities including, the Uniformed Firefighters Association for Widow’s and Children’s Fund of Greater New York, American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services Fund, Habitat for Humanity and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
