25th Annual Hot Summer Fun Set to Kick off at Mohegan Sun

Mohegan Sun is heating up for the 25th anniversary of its annual Hot Summer Fun celebration! The action gets started on Monday, June 27th where guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, thrilling special events, live entertainment in Mohegan Sun Arena, Wolf Den, and more through Friday, September 2nd.

HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property.

On More Money Mondays, Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash! Every Monday from June 27th – August 29th, one Momentum member will be randomly selected every sixty minutes between 10:00am – 7:00pm to win $1,000 cash. That’s 10 winners every Monday! To enter, Momentum members can play their favorite slots, tables, stadium games or poker games in the Poker Room. All Momentum members must be present to win.

During Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, Momentum members can go head-to-head with other members in their Status Level for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars! Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games, stadium games or wager in the Race Book and Poker Room from 6:00am – 10:00pm every Tuesday from June 28th – August 30th. Five winners per status level will be selected each week, and the Momentum members who earn the most Status Points throughout the week win the top prize! Momentum members must be a Core, Ignite, Leap, Ascend, Soar, or Soar Hawk member to participate.

Momentum members can double down on the momentum earnings during Wild Winning Wednesdays. Every Wednesday from June 29th – August 31st, Momentum members who play their favorite slots from 6:00am – Midnight will receive double Momentum Dollars. Momentum members can also earn double Status Points while playing their favorite table games, including Poker, stadium gaming and wagers placed in the Race Book. New to Hot Summer Fun is the Wild Winning Wednesday Kiosk Game that allows guests to swipe their Momentum card to win a share of $25,000 in Free Slot Play every Wednesday of HSF!

Additionally, with Bring-A-Friend Free Slot Play, any Momentum member who brings a friend to create a new Momentum account will receive $10 in Free Slot Play for themselves and $10 in Free Slot Play for the new member! Starting at 10:00am, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Play+ Event Center (located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth) will receive a commemorative free Hot Summer Fun t-shirt. New colors will be offered every Friday from July 1st – September 2nd and Momentum members will have the chance to collect all 10!  All participants must present their Momentum card and a valid ID to participate. Limit one shirt per Momentum member, per Fun in the Sun Friday.

In addition to these daily bonuses, Momentum members will have an extra chance to win big with Mohegan Sun’s $50,000 Jackpot Celebration! Through September 3rd, Momentum members who hit a jackpot of $1,200 or more on their favorite slot machines will get an entry form. Winners must activate their entries at Mohegan Sun between the hours of Noon and 7:00pm on Saturday, September 3rd. Guests can swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk from June 27th through September 2nd to earn Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or entries into the grand prize drawing. Those looking to double their total entries can swipe their Momentum card at any promotional kiosk on Friday, September 2nd from 6:00am – 4:00pm. The grand prize drawing takes place on Friday, September 2nd at 7:00pm. Momentum members can visit any Player’s Club booth for official details.

Momentum members who want to enjoy Hot Summer Fun while relaxing with their favorite cold beverage can pick up a complimentary Hot Summer Fun 12-can cooler bag at the Play+ Event Center on Sunday, July 3rd. The giveaway begins at 10:00am, and cooler bags are limited to the first 1,000 Momentum members. Each Momentum member is only allowed one bag. All guests must present their Momentum card as well as a valid photo ID.

Hot Summer Fun wouldn’t be complete without the popular live outdoor entertainment series Party on the Patio taking place every Friday from July 1st – September 2nd from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. The Summer Entrance will undergo a complete transformation into the best spot for drink specials, fire pits, food trucks, and so much more while enjoying the sounds of the best tribute bands around. Reserve a fire pit and your first round of drinks for up to six guests to take your Party on the Patio experience to new heights!

Fleetwood Macked kicks off the Party on the Patio concert series on July 1st delivering all of Fleetwood Mac’s hits. Two weeks later, enjoy the tropical vibes with a hint of country funkiness when Parrot Beach rocks the patio set to all the Jimmy Buffett classics on Friday, June 15th. August turns up the heat as 7800 Fahrenheit takes the stage as a tribute to Bon Jovi on August 19th with classics such as “Livin’on a Prayer”, “You Give Love a Bad Name”, and more. The BStreetBand closes out the series Friday, September 2nd with the sounds of Bruce Springsteen. The Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun to Support Local Bands all Summer Long

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 21, 2021) – Entertainment is heating up at Mohegan Sun this summer, with incredible stand-up comedy inside Comix Comedy Club, can’t miss tribute bands at the new Party on the Patio event every Friday night and of course, the biggest names in music returning to the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena. Joining the mix of incredible live entertainment throughout the summer will be exciting local bands playing the Wolf Den every week. Hitting the stage in August and September include acts like the Brandt Taylor Band, F & Blues Band, Thirty 6 Red, the ToneShifters, and plenty more!

“Connecticut and our surrounding regions are home to some of the best local bands, bar none, and we’re thrilled to be able to showcase such a tremendous lineup over the next few months,” –said Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports & Entertainment for Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) “The entertainment industry felt the challenges of the past 15 months as much as any industry did, and Mohegan Sun wanted to largely dedicate our longest running music venue to one of the most vital segments of this industry: live local music.”

Popular local acts that have recently played the Wolf Den of recent include Branded Country that ROCKS, Wicked Peach, Whiskey Boulevard, Last Licks and more. The action rolls on in early August, when singer, songwriter and incredible guitarist, Brandt Taylor, returns to the Wolf Den stage.

Taylor, who hails from Connecticut and began playing music at the age of nine and professionally by 16, will take the stage with his full band, playing original music. Don’t miss the Brandt Taylor Band at 8:00pm on Thursday, August 5th.

On Saturday, August 7th, F & Blues Band is scheduled to play the Wolf Den at 8:00pm. Based out of southern New England, F & Blues Band is a high energy Blues dance band comprised of four highly seasoned musicians playing the best of Old Blues and original tunes. Other great local acts like Thirty 6 Red, Fleet, Plain Jane and Van Halen Tribute featuring Tyler Morris fill out the August calendar in the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun.

In September, the thrilling group, Souls on Fire, bring their 10-piece horn section and the best music of the 70’s to the Wolf Den stage. Souls on Fire plays the hits form Chicago, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Motown and plenty more. Wolf Den fans can’t go wrong on Thursday, September 2nd for an amazing performance kicking off at 8:00pm.

New London’s own, the ToneShifters, are set for back-to-back Wolf Den shows (8:00pm) beginning Saturday, September 4th. Formed in 2009, the ToneShifters are a Blues / Roots band who have played venues like C.B.G.B’s, Studio 54 and the Hartford Civic Center. And on Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th, the band Red Light will be performing at 8:00pm in the Wolf Den. Red Light is known throughout New England, bringing classic Dance Party Rock, Country Rock and Pop Rock covers to live music fans. This experienced and dynamic band plays a wide variety of hits, with two highly-skilled guitarists, a monster back beat and multiple part harmonies. Red Light was voted the 2020 Best Musical Group of Eastern CT by The Norwich Bulletin Readers Choice Awards.

The Wolf Den will also still feature some nationally touring headliners throughout the summer as well, including Autograph on Thursday, July 29th, Queensrÿche on Saturday, August 14th and O-Town on Thursday, September 30th.
