After legions of fans crashed RyanSeacrest.com for a first listen, New Kids On The Block today released “Remix (I Like The)” exclusively on iTunes worldwide. NKOTB add to their arsenal with this thumping, guitar infused, sure to be smash single that’s already rising on the iTunes Top 20. http://smarturl.it/nkotbremix
New Kids On The Block have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide — including back-to-back international #1 songs, 1988’s “Hangin’ Tough” and 1990’s “Step By Step” — and a series of crossover smash R&B, Pop hits like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Cover Girl,” “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time),” “I’ll Be Loving You,” and “Tonight.” The group shattered concert box office records playing an estimated 200 concerts a year, in sold out stadiums throughout the world. They still hold many of these records to date. They were Forbes highest paid entertainers of 1990, beating out Michael Jackson and Madonna. The band boasted an extensive and highly profitable merchandise line which included everything from lunch boxes and sleeping bags to comic books, marbles and dolls. In 1998, 98 Degrees released their breakthrough album 98° and Rising through Universal Records. The album went 4X platinum and yielded the hit singles “Because of You,” “I Do” and “The Hardest Thing.” The group’s success continued to flourish through the late 90’s and in 2000, Mariah Carey released “Thank God I Found You” featuring 98 Degrees and Joe. The single shot to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the group received a Grammy nomination for “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.”
Working once again with Motown producer Randy Jackson, Boyz II Men (Wayne Morris, Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman) released the album Love in 2009 and prior to that released the critically acclaimed Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA (Decca/Universal). The collection of Detroit Soul classics took the international music scene by storm to a degree that surprised even the group members. Motown rose to # 27 on the Billboard Top 200 and to # 6 on the trade’s R&B chart; proportionately, sales in Europe and other territories were even stronger than the U.S. The album earned two Grammy Award nominations for “Best R&B Album” and “Best R&B Performance By A Duo or Group With Vocals” (for the Stevie Wonder cover “Ribbons In The Sky”) and sparked the release of Boyz II Men’s first full-length live concert DVD, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA – Live.
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked 3rd in the U.S. and 5th in the world by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 and 2010 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.” Venues Today also ranked Mohegan Sun Arena #4 in 2011 and ranked in the top six of “Top Stops of The Decade” in 2012.
