Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus, housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 25, 2021) – Mohegan Sun is set to host three summer hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th, Thursday, June 10th and Thursday, June 24th. Employment opportunities are open in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus and housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.
The hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, June 10th will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm in the Earth Ballroom, located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. A third hiring event will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24th in The Cabaret Theatre, located in Casino of the Sky.
All three hiring events are open to the public. Interested applicants are asked to create an account on the Mohegan Sun career portal at mohegansun.com/careers prior to attending the hiring event. Walk-ins are also welcome. Best fit applicants will be hired on the spot.

Vets Rock, Mohegan Sun’s annual celebration and career fair dedicated
to active duty military, veterans and reserves, returns to the Earth Expo & Convention Center on Friday, November 6th. Kicking off at Noon with extra safety and distancing measures, special services will be provided from over 50 veteran service organizations, including Vets Rock staples like Save-A-Suit and virtual career fair resources hosted by Hiring Our Heroes. Additionally, guests can access a free flu shot clinic administered by Yale New Haven Health. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) also returns to Mohegan Sun to host a silent auction later this month, with a touch-free experience.
Save-A-Suit, an organization who provides professional business attire and other resources to help support the transition from military life to a civilian career, will be at Vets Rock outfitting veterans, active military members and reserves on-site until 6:00pm. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a new ship-to-home experience. After an in-person “style appointment” at Vets Rock, Save-A-Suit will curate an outfit and ship it straight to the guest’s home at a later date. Save-A-Suit will also be offering virtual workshop opportunities focused on professional and personal development. Donations are appreciated and will be accepted at the event, as Save-A-Suit has seen a fourfold increase in need due to the pandemic.
Vets Rock guests can also partake in incredible virtual career fair resources hosted by Hiring Our Heroes, an organization dedicated to connecting veterans, active duty military members, reserves and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities. Hiring Our Heroes will have a booth where guests can receive information about virtual services, including job fairs and workshops. This year’s touch-free auction experience will allow guests to view items in-person and bid on their favorites online from Noon to 10:00pm on both days. Auction items feature sports memorabilia and include a commemorative plaque containing a photo of professional football player Tom Brady and replicas of his championship rings. Autographed items will also be offered – including commemorative photos of the late Eddie Van Halen and the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and a Squier Bullet Stratocaster guitar signed by Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. A day to celebrate, honor and thank our military and veterans
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 14, 2018) – Join us at the fourth annual Vets Rock event as we celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources on Friday, November 2nd. Some of the special services and activities include Hiring Our Heroes, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, over 100 Veteran Service Organizations and workshops – all free! A portion of tickets will also be donated from Sebastian Maniscalco’s concert in Mohegan Sun Arena by Mohegan Sun to support Vets Rock.
This year’s Vets Rock will benefit Fisher House Boston, Save–A–Suit and Project New Hope. A special thanks to WTNH News 8 and iHeart Media for their contributions.

Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2018 will begin with an opening ceremony at 10:00am in The Shops concourse, hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH-TV. Join us as we salute to veterans and present a check to the beneficiary organizations during the National Anthem, with FDNY Bagpipers and a performance by the USO Show Troupe.
Vets Rock Expo
From 10:00am to 6:00pm, guests are invited to take part in the Vets Rock Expo occurring in the new Earth Expo and Convention Center. This year’s Vets Rock Expo gets underway with special services and activities for veterans and their families such as a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes that will feature 100 employers throughout the region, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, workshops including Prime Lending which will offer free mortgage consultations, free health screenings and more.

Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes comedian Sebastian Maniscalco on Friday, November 2nd starting at 8:00pm. A portion of tickets will be donated by Mohegan Sun to support Vets Rock.

Annual Military and Veterans Event slated For Friday, November 3rd; Concert tickets on sale Friday, September 15th
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 12, 2017) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that it will be welcoming back Vets Rock, inpartnership with WTNH and iHeart Media, on Friday, November 3rd. The third annual Vets Rock kicks off with a special day filled with valuable support, services and resources for our military, veterans and their families including a career fair, suit fitting and a mobile vet center. The day will be capped off by a performance by legendary rocker, Joe Walsh, inside the award-winning Mohegan Sun Arena. The concert starts at 7:30pm.
This year’s event is in partnership and benefits the USO Connecticut (USO), our nation’s leading organization dedicated to serving our Armed Forces.
“This year we are all in on helping the USO. The USO is an organization that every veteran or family member of a veteran knows about. They’re a worldwide organization. They provide support to soldiers and families in far-flung dusty locations and here at home,” said Kevin Brown, Chairman, Mohegan Tribal Council.

Vets Rock Expo
One week before Veterans Day, the third annual Vets Rock, hosted by Mohegan Sun is to reach an overall goal of help, raise money, provide services and a good time for Veterans in and outside the Southeastern Connecticut community. Throughout the day in the Uncas Ballroom, Mohegan Sun and the USO, have provided special services and activities for Veterans and their families. Including a career fair and workshop presented by Hiring Our Heroes whom are featuring 100 employers from throughout the region. More events in the Uncas Ballroom include the Save – A – Suite Professional Attire fitting, complimentary flu shots for Veterans and a mobile vet center.
“The U.S. Department of Chambers partners with us with a Hiring Our Heroes job fair where over 100 local, regional and some national employers. That will literally take a resume, possibly do an interview and maybe even provide a job that very day right here in the ballroom,” said Brown.

Celebration featuring a benefit concert headlined by Trace Adkins, career services and so much more November 11th
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 4, 2015) – Career fairs, workshops, a charity concert and so much more – the possibilities are endless at the inaugural Vets Rock at Mohegan Sun this November. Hosted by Til Duty is Done and Mohegan Sun the day will feature special services and activities for veterans and their families – as well as a benefit concert headlined by Country music superstar, Trace Adkins.
Career Fair, Workshops and Auction
Vets Rock is taking over Mohegan Sun’s Convention Center. All convention rooms and the full 38,000 square-foot Uncas Ballroom will be converted into a conference space featuring a career fair, resume assistance, professional suit fittings and more.
Half of the Convention Center will host the Hiring Our Heroes Workshop with interview prep and resume assistance. Guests will also have the opportunity to be fitted for a professional suit by Suiting Warriors. From 10:30am to 5:00pm, veterans are invited to take part in the career fair featuring at least 100 employers from throughout the state. The career fair will take place in the other half of the Convention Center. A family area will be available where veterans can bring their children while they explore the services available.
On Wednesday, a variety of other services will be available throughout the day in the upper level of the Convention Center for veterans to take advantage of including art therapy, yoga, music therapy, VA claim representatives, veteran legal affairs and much more.
Also on Wednesday, November 11th in The Shops at Mohegan Sun, there will be a special art show and auction headlined by a custom piece designed by John Herz. Additional programming will continually be added so please be sure to check mohegansun.com for the latest programming for the Vets Rock event.
Vets Rock Concert
The celebration goes out with a bang when Trace Adkins headlines a special Vets Rock Concert inside Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm. The concert, emceed by Tony Orlando, will also feature special guests Dropkick Murphys and Madison Rising. Tickets for this event are $49.00 and $29.00 and go on sale May 16th through Ticketmaster and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. A special presale for veterans will begin on May 4th.
