Grammy Award-Winning Superstar Duo Dan + Shay to Take Over Mohegan Sun Arena

Tickets on sale Friday, March 3rd

Fresh off their first-ever Arena tour and a summer spent with Kenny Chesney’s 2022 stadium tour, Grammy Award-winning Country superstars, Dan + Shay, return to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 5th.

Tickets are $129.50, $99.50, $79.50, $59.50, and go on sale Friday, March 3rd at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, March 4th, subject to availability.

Dan + Shay’s mark on Country music – and beyond – continues to grow with the release of their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Good Things. Produced by the duo’s Dan Smyers, the highly imaginative LP is the first Country album in the streaming era to achieve RIAA Gold certification at release and is one of only 12 albums all-genre to be released and go Gold in 2021. Prior to the release, the album was already shattering records beginning with its first single, the four-time Platinum, multi-week No. 1 hit “10,000 Hours” featuring Justin Bieber. With more than 2 billion global streams, “10,000 Hours” became the biggest first-week streaming total in Country music history. Their latest No. 1 “Glad You Exist,” recently earned Platinum certification in the U.S. and Canada and marks their sixth consecutive chart-topper with more than 2 million equivalents to date.

In 2021, they became the first and only artist to win the Grammy Award for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” three consecutive times since the category’s inception (winning in 2021 for “10,000 Hours,” in 2020 for “Speechless,” and in 2019 for “Tequila”). The reigning “Favorite Country Duo or Group” winners claimed their third consecutive win for the category at the American Music Awards, where they had swept their categories in 2020, becoming the first Country artist ever to win “Collaboration of the Year.” The two-time CMA Awards “Duo of the Year” and three-time ACM Awards “Duo of the Year” recently were named “Top Country Duo/Group” at the Billboard Music Awards. The duo wrapped their explosive and highly anticipated headlining Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour, which spanned 33 shows and garnered 400,000 total tickets, as well as Kenny Chesney’s Stadium Here and Now Tour last year.

The duo’s Platinum-certified self-titled third album included global hit “Tequila,” multi-format hit “Speechless,” and No. 1 Country song “All To Myself.” In the 10 years since they’ve formed, Dan + Shay have garnered more than 10 billion global career streams to date, 46 total RIAA certifications and achieved nine No. 1 singles at Country radio.

Kenny Chesney Returns to Mohegan Sun Arena

Tickets on sale Friday, December 2nd

When Kenny Chesney wrapped his 2022 Here and Now Tour – playing to more than 1.3 million people and breaking personal records in many of the 21 NFL stadiums he played – the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar knew he wanted to create a touring experience to make 2023 every bit as special. Chesney returns to the cities that were a major part of establishing what has become the soundtrack of coming of age in the 21st century with his I Go Back Tour. Chesney returns to Mohegan Sun Arena with special guest Kelsea Ballerini at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Tickets are $179.50, $159.50, $149.50, and $129.50 and go on sale Friday, December 2nd at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, December 3rd, subject to availability.

“I can still hear No Shoes Nation singing those songs after being apart for four whole summers,” Chesney, who just received 28 RIAA gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications, said. “It’s a sound that reminds me how much music really means to people. It’s not about the numbers, but the joy you see on people’s faces – and the more I thought about it, the more I thought about taking the music to people who were there when this thing was taking off.”

Joining the only Country artist who’s made Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 years for the last 14 years for this highly anticipated tour is three-time Grammy nominee Kelsea Ballerini. A songwriting force, she launched her singular career with three consecutive No. 1s and a Best New Artist Grammy nomination and has not looked back. Having enlisted Kenny for their No. 1 “half of my hometown,” which won the 2021 Country Music Association “Vocal Event” and “Video of the Year” Award and was nominated for the 2022 CMA “Single of the Year,” she, too, embodies that feeling of loving where you’re from, but knowing your heart has bigger dreams.

“Music has taken me so many incredible places,” Ballerini said. “Around the world, singing with some of my heroes in Pop, Alternative and Contemporary music, but singing with Kenny is going home. He was the only voice I heard on “half of my hometown,” and when he comes in, it’s just like hitting the Knoxville city limits. So to be able to go out to those cities like the place he and I grew up with an artist who’s accomplished what he has, it’s a lot like going home.”

Hailed as “The King of the Road,” by the Wall Street Journal and “The People’s Superstar” by the Los Angeles Times, Chesney’s music distills living beyond the media centers – recognizing the dignity, richness and fun of an authentic American life. As Variety offered of his immediacy and appeal: “Classic-Rock-infused-Country with his in-the-moment philosophy.”

About Thomas Rhett

Ten years after signing his record deal with Big Machine Label Group’s The Valory Music Co., arena-packing superstar Thomas Rhett — dubbed “the most reliable maker of No. 1 singles in country music” (Variety) — has 19 multi-PLATINUM and GOLD-certified No. 1 hits, 12 BILLION streams and the longest current active streak of consecutive No. 1s in the format (Mediabase/Country Aircheck Chart). Declared “a prince in the genre” (USA Today), he has been honored with eight ACM Awards including Entertainer of the Year, two CMA Awards, five GRAMMY nominations, plus trophies from the CMT Music Awards,  Billboard Awards and iHeartRadio Awards, in addition to being recognized with two CMA Triple Play awards for penning three No. One songs within a 12-month period. The superstar’s critically-acclaimed sixth studio album WHERE WE STARTED is available now, with single “Half of Me,” featuring Riley Green, currently Top 5 at Country radio. Thomas Rhett has also just released his first-ever Christmas collection MERRY CHRISTMAS Y’ALL, featuring his rich vocal and sincere delivery, with a country flair on four favorite festive tracks.  Inspired by family, friends and his love of the outdoors, Thomas Rhett is also the cofounder of Dos Primos Tequila and has collaborated with Chaco on an exclusive sandal line. He recently extended his BRING THE BAR TO YOU TOUR into 2023 with dates scheduled for the top of next year in Canada. For more information, visit www.ThomasRhett.com.

About Cole Swindell

Multi-Platinum selling superstar Cole Swindell released his fifth studio album, Stereotype, to massive success. The project has already charted three back-to-back multi-week No. 1 hits: the Gold-certified “Single Saturday Night,” the Platinum-certified “Never Say Never” (with Lainey Wilson) and, most recently, the Platinum-certified, five-week chart-topper “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” In the seven years since his debut on Warner Music Nashville, Swindell has racked up an impressive 12 No. 1 singles as an artist – 13 as a songwriter – 11 certified Platinum singles (four singles at 2x Platinum), a Platinum-certified debut album (Cole Swindell) and a Gold-certified sophomore album (You Should Be Here). The Georgia hitmaker has over 5.2 BILLION global career streams. His massive, GRAMMY-nominated hit “Break Up In The End” was named the 2019 NSAI Song of the Year. Swindell is nominated for two CMA Awards for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Never Say Never” with Lainey Wilson. He officially became a headliner on his own in 2018 with his Reason To Drink Tours, and is currently out on the road with Ashley Cooke and Dylan Marlowe for his Back Down To The Bar Tour.

About Nate Smith

With a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Nate Smith first chased his neon dreams to Nashville in his early 20s – but it didn’t stick. The disheartened Smith returned home and thought he was “100-percent done” with his artistic journey…until a crucible of change burned away the past. In 2018, Smith lost everything he owned in the devastating Camp Fire which tore through Paradise, California. Although his family was safe, he struggled to cope and turned back to music, hoping that it would help comfort himself and others. Help it did, inspiring a month-long road trip across the U.S. to Music City, writing music and playing dive bars along the way. Soon after his arrival to Nashville, Nate released his biggest song to date, “Wildfire,” and landed a publishing deal with Sony ATV. Since then, he’s released new music including “Sleeve” and “Under My Skin,” which has amassed over 70 million on-demand streams to date. The singer was named a Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2021 – an accurate prediction as he rounded out the year with a record deal with Sony Music Nashville and is now making waves with his latest release, “Whiskey On You,” which is now Gold-certified and Top 15 and climbing at country radio.

ABOUT TOBY KEITH:

The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, and musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. At the close of 2018, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut #1 single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” with the re-release of his debut album (remastered with the addition of three vault tracks), a week of events in Nashville including a BMI event to commemorate the milestone, two shows at the historic Grand Ole Opry, and a performance at the Nashville Symphony Ball where he received the prestigious “Harmony Award.” Keith also released a new song, “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, The Mule. Rounding out the year full of music-related accomplishments was his 15th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, which raised more than $1 million, bringing the annual event’s total funds raised to $12.4 million.  The funds support the charitable endeavors of The Toby Keith Foundation which includes aiding sick children and their families in Oklahoma.

Toby also honored the 25th anniversary of the release of his debut single with his aptly-named tour “Should’ve Been A Cowboy XXV Tour.” From the moment that song was released and shot up the charts to become his first #1, the engine driving everything has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville.

At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him “Songwriter/Artist of the Decade” and he is a three-time BMI Country “Songwriter/Artist of the Year.” His songs have received more than 92 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide, making him the organization’s top Country songwriter in terrestrial Country radio.

Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies. His tours have drawn more than a million fans each year for more than a decade straight. The awards are too numerous to count and include “Artist of the Decade” nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s “Career Achievement” honor, “Poet’s Award” recipient, and twice their “Entertainer of the Year” award winner in back-to-back years. Country’s most impactful viral event, “Red Solo Cup,” the video for which has received more than 50 million views and was named ACM “Video of the Year.”

Outside of music, his successes carry through to business endeavors including Wild Shot, his premium mezcal liquor products, and I Love This Bar and Grill restaurants including the original location which has been operating for more than a decade on the famed Las Vegas Strip. Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally and abroad. His golf classics fund The Toby Keith Foundation 2 and OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. His 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events, and have been recognized with the “Spirit of the USO Award” (2014). Many songs Keith has written while on the USO Tours for the military are featured on his 2017 album The Bus Songs, a 12-song collection of humorous, just-for-fun compositions that set a Billboard Comedy Albums chart record for a Country artist by holding the #1 spot for 11 consecutive weeks. And when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the 2013 OK Twister Relief Concert. Triple threat? How about singer, songwriter, musician, producer, entertainer, humanitarian, Oklahoman and patriot.
