The East Coast’s Leading Resort to Premiere Season 4 of its Revealing, Award-Winning Digital Series “Back of House,” Starting October 14
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 7, 2020) – After receiving top international hospitality awards in 2020, Mohegan Sun, one of the world’s leading integrated entertainment resort destinations, today announced the launch of “Back of House Season 4: A Fun and Revealing Digital Series.” On the heels of previous seasons’ successes, the fourth season of “Back of House” will feature five all-new weekly episodes on backofhouse.tv, providing fans a look into the ups-and-downs of operating a world-class entertainment destination every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, beginning on October 14 through November 18, with the exception of November 4.
“Back of House S4: A Fun and Revealing Digital Series” follows the professional lives of 10 employees as they adapt to the “new normal,” taking viewers behind-the-scenes at Mohegan Sun to witness pre- and post-pandemic happenings. The series will provide an in-depth glimpse of Mohegan Sun’s holiday festivities leading up to 2020, as well as the diligent steps and hard work taken by leadership and team members to safely reopen and operate one of the largest integrated entertainment resorts in the United States following its three-month closure due to COVID-19.

Given the greenlight to reopen, Jeff, Mary and Dan lead team members, working relentlessly to figure out how to reopen one of the largest travel destinations in the U.S. Ensuring the safety of both the guests and the staff is paramount. - Episode 2: Be Social, Be Safe
As reopening day quickly approaches, the media floods Mohegan Sun. The health, safety and sanitation efforts are fastidious, fast, and furious as the clock ticks closer to guests returning to their favorite playground. The question on everyone’s mind is: “How will this go?” The casino is spotless, the back hallways too, and the hotel rooms are treated with new stringent protocols. The popular tech & electronics store, bluwire, also reopens September 11th
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 3, 2020) – Mohegan Sun is home to more than 80 dining, nightlife and retail locations across a 5.5 million square-foot resort, casino and entertainment destination nestled along the Thames River in southeastern Connecticut. While the majority of these locations have reopened, there are still some that have been planning their return, including the Mexican restaurant, SolToro and tech retailer, bluwire. SolToro will open this Friday, September 4th, along with the official launch of a new Mohegan Sun retail outlet – Rove Home, while bluewire reopens Friday, September 11th
Rove Home opens this Friday at Noon as an all-new gift shop at Mohegan Sun, located next Rove Outfitters, and is inspired by all things comfortable, creative and welcoming. Guests will be able to pick up the latest home trends and perfect gift for any occasion at this exciting new location. This new outlet is owned and operated by Innowave Marketing Group, who also operate additional locations in tThe Shops at Mohegan Sun (Splendeur – A Luxury Boutique and Rove Outfitters). Hours for Rove Home will be Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Monday – Thursday, 11:00am – 7:00pm and Friday & Saturday, Noon – 8:00pm.
One of the most thrilling and delicious restaurants at Mohegan Sun is certainly the Michael Jordan owned Mexican restaurant, SolToro, reopens this Friday at 4:00pm. Guests will be able to once again enjoy fantastic margaritas, delicious guacamole and incredible Mexican dishes like Filet Mignon Fajitas with caramelized peppers and onions and grilled blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos.
Along with all the restaurants & bars at Mohegan Sun that have now reopened, reduced seating at SolToro will be in place to allow for physical distancing. Hours will be 4:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 4:00pm – 9:00pm on Sunday.
bluwire, which offers all the high quality technology and ultimate portability brands like Bang & Olufsen, Mophie, Motorola, JBL and Harman-Kardon, is officially set for reopen next Friday, September 11th. Today marks a new milestone in Mohegan Sun’s reopening as a wider range of dining, shopping, offerings and amenities reopen or expand hours and services. Popular stops like BALLO Italian Restaurant, Jasper White’s Summer Shack, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House, The Race Book and Comix Roadhouse (+ Comix Comedy Club) all return this week, with physical distancing & safety protocols in place. Additional retailers in the 130,000 square-foot Shops at Mohegan Sun also reopen, and Sky Tower hotel is now also accepting more reservations.

Mohegan Sun implemented more than $1 million in new safety measures, some of which include non-invasive thermal temperature checks at all entrances, a cutting edge UV lighting system, robust cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and plexiglass dividers at various locations. - Comix Roadhouse reopens this Thursday, June 18th. Comix Roadhouse will be open late afternoon to late night, Thursday – Saturday.
- Comix Comedy Club also returns this weekend with comedian Corey Rodrigues performing on Friday and Saturday evenings. Limited capacity and additional health & safety standards will be implemented.
- BALLO Italian Restaurant will reopen for take-out and dine-in on Friday, June 19th. This restaurant will initially be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00pm – 11:00pm and Sundays from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.
- Bobby’s Burger Palace is already open for take-out, and beginning today, June 17th, sit-down dining returns. BBPs hours are Noon – 9:00pm Sunday – Thursday and Noon – 11:00pm Friday and Saturday.
- The Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House reopens on today, June 17th and initial hours of operation will be Noon – 8:00pm, Wednesday – Sunday.
- Mohegan Sun Race Book, home to thrilling live horse racing in a setting equipped with an array of flat screens up to 65 feet, reopens on Friday, June 19th, just in time for the Belmont Stakes taking place the following day on Saturday, June 20th. Adjusted hours for the Race Book will be 11:00am -10:00pm Sunday – Thursday and 11:00am – Midnight on Friday & Saturday.
- MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill is open daily from Noon – 8:00pm, and today begins offering dine-in service again while continuing take-out options as well.
- Todd English’s Tuscany will now be open for dining inside with take-out options still available. Sit-down dining on the terrace outside Tuscany and drinks at the Taughannick Falls Bar are already open.
- Jasper White’s Summer Shack will reopen for dine-in and takeout today, June 17th. Summer Shack’s hours will be 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday –Friday, Noon – 11:00pm on Saturday and Noon – 10:00pm on Sunday. (Summer Shack Express in Casino of the Earth returns on June 24th).
- Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana reopened on Friday, June 12th for take-out, and starting today, will offer dine-in service. Frank Pepe Pizzeria is open daily.
- Pasta Vita, which has locations in both Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Earth, is open Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 6:00pm and 10:00am – 9:00pm, Friday – Sunday.
*Restaurants and bars will reduce seating to allow for physical distancing during dining. Tables at restaurants will also not be set until guests arrive and signage will be present after a table is disinfected before a new seating. Reservations are encouraged.

Sky Tower, Mohegan Sun’s iconic 34-story hotel, is also opening up more rooms and has begun welcoming guests from all 50 states or wherever they may be visiting from. Mohegan Sun’s hotel safety and distancing measures include every other check-in stations, disinfecting of keys and carts after each use, enhanced and thorough cleaning protocols including sanitization fogging after each stay, as well as continued closures of pools and gyms, and more.

Around 20 locations in the Shops at Mohegan Sun, which consist of more than 35 high-end retail outlets in total, have already safely opened, with more expected in the coming weeks. Beginning on Monday, June 22nd, Victoria’s Secret will reopen and nearby, the children’s play-scape and arcade, Kids Quest & Cyber Quest, return to business on Wednesday, June 17th at 5:00pm, with certain age restrictions and safety policies in place. Kids Quest & Cyber Quest hours will be Noon to Midnight daily, and more information can be found HERE.
The Mohegan Sun Golf Club (MSGC), the 18-hole championship golf course located a short drive from Mohegan Sun and features all-new practice areas and a driving range, is open for the season. Valet parking remains closed at Mohegan Sun, as does The Poker Room, Seasons Buffett, novelle, SolToro, New Belgium Tap Room, GAME ON, the Wolf Den, Mohegan Sun Arena, Bean & Vine Café & Wine Bar, Pools, Gyms and Bus transportation. Smoking will also continue to be prohibited indoors. Designated smoking areas are available at various outside locations.

Sardilli will Continue Its Produce Distribution for all Mohegan Sun Owned and Operated Restaurants Including Todd English’s Tuscany, Season’s Buffett and the all-new novelle
UNCASVILLE, CT – Mohegan Sun is excited to announce a recent multi-year produce contract being awarded to Sardilli Produce & Dairy. Mohegan Sun has worked with the longstanding Hartford, CT based company for the past eight years. In the past three years alone, have purchased more than 18,000 cases and more than 490,000 lbs. of produce from local farmers, and supporting Connecticut Agriculture – marks that will continue under the extended partnership.
“We certainly had interest in other big players for this contract but based on the well-established relationship, exceptional service and overall great product that Sardilli provides, the choice wasn’t very difficult in the end,” said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun. “They’ll continue food distribution to more than ten restaurants here at Mohegan Sun, and that’s in addition to our back of house grill that we have for thousands of team members. They now operate as Sardilli Produce & Dairy out of a 30,000 square-foot facility on Locust Street in Hartford, CT. They look to move into a renovated 225,000 square-foot facility in Windsor, CT in 2020. A 10,000 square-foot, 300-seat Pan-Asian restaurant to open at Mohegan Sun in 2020
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 22, 2019) – Mohegan Sun, one of the world’s leading integrated entertainment resort destinations, and Tao Group Hospitality today announced that TAO Restaurant will open inside Mohegan Sun’s flagship Connecticut property in 2020. The renowned dining experience at TAO Restaurant will be a welcomed addition to the food and beverage offerings at Mohegan Sun, and will be located off of Sky Tower’s beautiful hotel lobby.
