Mohegan Sun Launches Annual Hot Summer Fun Celebrations on June 15th

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 28, 2015) – The 18th annual Hot Summer Fun is hotter than ever with big names and fabulous prizes this summer. The celebrations, which kick off June 15th and run through September 6th, will feature millions in cash prizes, giveaways, fireworks displays, as well as the most unforgettable entertainment and nightlife.

Special Events

Swipe your Momentum card all summer long for a chance to win 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK 250! The Roll With Your Top Down Giveaway runs from June 15th to September 4th. Swipe your Momentum card at any kiosk and you could roll out with Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or up to 100 entries toward the Grand Prize!

Celebrate the first signs of summer at Hot Summer Fun’s kickoff event, Sun BBQFest! Get fired up for some finger-lickin’ fun during Sun BBQFest. On June 13th & 14th, savor the flavors of the best barbeque around with festivities featuring live music, a beer trailer, barbeque battles and so much more you can sink your teeth into!
Mohegan Sun lights up the sky with an extraordinary fireworks display at the Mid-Summer and End of Summer Sizzlers. Open to all, the fun kicks off at 6:00pm and includes The Wethersfield Farmer’s Market, games for kids of all ages and carnival food favorites, as well as an area for guests 21+. These special parties will be hosted on Sunday, July 26th and Sunday, August 30th. NOTE: Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Other various events will be taking place throughout the summer including Mohegan Sun’s Signature Events series. Double Up Mondays

Beginning Monday, June 15th, guests can earn double Momentum Dollars from 6:00am to Midnight. Bring a friend to sign up for a Momentum card and double the fun with $10.00 Free Slot Play for you both to enjoy. Season’s Buffett will offer two lunches for $30.00 from 11:00am to 5:00pm then two dinners for $40.00 until close. Todd English’s Tuscany rounds out the double deals with a two for $40.00 Tuscan table offer from 11:30am to 3:00pm.

Cash Dash Tuesdays

Let the money fly all summer long inside Mohegan Sun’s Cash Cube where up to $100,000 is given away every Tuesday. New this year, catch the $2.00 bill inside the Cash Cube and we’ll double your winnings! Beginning Tuesday, June 16th, every half hour from Noon to 2:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm, one lucky Momentum member playing their favorite slot machine will have a chance to enter the Cash Cube. Win up to $10,000 in 60 seconds when you dash to grab the cash each Tuesday this summer.

Power-Your-Play Wednesdays

All summer long, Momentum members can test their luck with PowerPlay Bonusing. Starting Wednesday, June 17th players can try their hand at Virtual Racing when earning 1 status point from 10:00am to Noon, 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Prospector’s Plunge takes over PowerPlay Bonusing in July with a $20,000 prize pool per tournament and in August, PowerSpin is the name of the game from 10:00am-10:00pm. Free & Fun Fridays

Collect all 12 during Hot Summer Fun! Then start the weekend early with the Party on the Rooftop. This 21 and over event allows guests to listen to live music and purchase various treats from rotating food trucks.  Party on the Rooftop kicks off on Friday, June 19th with live music by Beatlemania, a tribute to The Beatles. Weekends heat up at Mohegan Sun during Hot Summer Fun.  Dance under the stars at GLO – the only nighttime pool party in New England, soak up the sun during three featured Day GLO parties, enjoy a drink under the world’s largest indoor planetarium dome at VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock or party the night away at MIST, a steamy, contemporary venue that sits beneath the water wall in Casino of the Wind.

This summer, Mohegan Sun has your concert hookup with 34 concerts drawing a quarter of a million people this summer! The top-ranked Mohegan Sun Arena will be home to hot tours like Ariana Grande, Def Leppard, Shania Twain, Meghan Trainor, Rob Zombie, Idina Menzel, Kelly Clarkson and so much more.
The Wolf Den, which is open seven days a week, free and for guests 21 and over, will see such acts as Andy Grammer, Cassidy Pope, Salt N Pepa among others. Don’t miss the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun with multiple home games inside Mohegan Sun Arena throughout June, July and August!
