The Weeknd’s path to Beauty Behind The Madness has defied all conventions. He avoided revealing his face until over a year after he released his very first song online. The story itself is now legendary. In 2011, he released an untouchable series of three critically revered free mixtapes — House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence — and the internet exploded with praise and a whole lot of theories about him as he personally remained silent. Soon though, his reach and appeal exponentially expanded. He teamed up with Ariana Grande for the platinum-selling hit “Love Me Harder.” He then had the mainstream completely in his grip with the release of “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” in early 2015. The first release from the chart-dominating, platinum Fifty Shades of Grey Original Motion Picture soundtrack became a triple-platinum smash that enjoyed 27 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100. “Can’t Feel My Face” formally ushered in Beauty Behind The Madness. The song quickly shot to #1 on iTunes worldwide and within weeks, it reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Weeknd has also become a touring force. The 2014 King Of The Fall Tour sold out all dates and since then, The Weeknd’s festival appearances, including Coachella, Lollapalooza and HARD Summer, have drawn massive crowds.

ABOUT SHINEDOWN
Known worldwide for their unparalleled streak of hits, Shinedown is without question one of the most successful Rock bands of the 21st century. The multiplatinum group’s forthcoming 5th studio album THREAT TO SURVIVAL arrives September 18th and features the chart-topping, lead single “Cut The Cord,” which stands tall at #1 on the Active Rock radio chart for its 3rd consecutive week. The band’s unmatched ascendancy over multi-format Rock radio commenced with their 2003 debut LEAVE A WHISPER and the 2005 follow-up, US AND THEM. Together, both albums yielded seven consecutive top 5 radio hits, including the #1 blockbuster, “Save Me.” Released in 2008, THE SOUND OF MADNESS proved to be Shinedown’s mainstream breakthrough, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart. The album made Rock history, with each of its six singles reaching #1 on the airplay rankings, including the double-platinum certified crossover smash, “Second Chance,” which also went to #1 on the Hot AC chart and top 3 at Top 40. AMARYLLIS followed in 2012 and immediately entered Billboard’s “Rock Albums” chart at #1 while also coming in at #4 on the overall Billboard 200 — the multi-platinum group’s biggest chart debut thus far. The album spawned a trio of massive hits in “Bully,” “Unity,” and “Enemies,” all of which reached #1 at Active Rock radio, bringing Shinedown’s tally of consecutive chart-toppers at the format to an amazing nine and counting. In addition, two additional singles from AMARYLLIS — “I’ll Follow You” and “Adrenaline” — both reached the top 5 at Rock radio, furthering Shinedown’s extraordinary streak of top-charting singles.
